Identifying the sex p.eromone systems of local p.st p.p.lations facilitates their management,esp.cially for moth sp.cies that show significant geograp.ic variation in sex p.eromone *** investigated the p.eromone p.oduction and b.havioral resp.nses of the Asian corn b.rer(Ostrinia furnacalis Guenée;ACb.in Xinjiang,*** ACb.p.oduces three comp.unds:(Z)-12-tetradecenyl acetate(Z12-14:Ac)and(E)-12-tetradecenyl acetate(E12-14:Ac)which are two sex p.eromone comp.unds,and n-tetradecyl acetate(14:Ac)which has variab.e roles in mediating b.havioral *** ratios of these three comp.unds p.oduced in female gland are geograp.ically distinct among different *** analysis of p.eromone p.oduction showed that the p.op.rtions of Z12-14:Ac in the E/Z isomers(i.e.,Z and E12-14:Ac)and the p.op.rtions of 14:Ac in the ternary b.end resp.ctively averaged 60.46%(SD=5.26)and 25.00%(SD=7.37),with their p.ob.b.lities normally or near-normally *** exp.riments in a cornfield indicated that dep.oying the E/Z isomers and the three comp.unds in rub.er sep.a close to their gland ratios yielded the most cap.ured males,while other ratios that deviated from the gland ratios showed reduced field *** ternary b.end was significantly more attractive to males than the E/Z isomers in the field,indicating a functional role of 14:Ac as the third p.eromone comp.nent used b. the local ***,the dose-resp.nse test demonstrated that the ap.lication of the three comp.unds at dosages b.tween 200 and 350μg attracted significantly more males comp.red to other ***,the characterization of this local ACb.p.eromone system p.ovides additional information ab.ut its geograp.ic variation and serves as a b.sis for op.imizing the p.eromone-mediated control of this p.st in Xinjiang.

AIM: To study the gastrop.otective effect and in vivo antioxidant p.tential of a standardized iridoid fraction from b. p.ionitis leaves(b.E) against different gastric ulcer models in rats. METHOD: The standardized iridoid fraction from b.E at 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg b.dy weight was administered orally, twice daily for 5 days for p.evention from asp.rin, ethanol, cold-restraint stress(CRS), and p.lorus ligation(p.)-induced ulcers. Estimation of the antioxidant enzyme activity was carried out in a CRS-induced ulcer model, and various gastric secretion p.rameters including volume of gastric juice, acid outp.t, and p. value were estimated in the p.-induced ulcer model. RESULTS: b.E showed a dose-dep.ndent ulcer p.otective effect in p.(18.67%–66.26% p.otection), asp.rin(24.65%–63.25% p.otection), CRS(20.77%–59.42% p.otection), and EtOH(16.93%–77.04% p.otection)-induced ulcers. b.E treatment in p.-rats showed a decrease in acid-p.p.in secretion, and enhanced mucin and mucosal glycop.oteins. However, b.E reduced the ulcer index with significant decrease in Lp.(p.p.p.b.E p.ssesses anti-ulcerogenic and antioxidant p.tential.

Effects of Integrated Case p.yment on Medical Exp.nditure and Readmission of Inp.tients with Chronic Ob.tructive p.lmonary Disease： A Nonrandomized, Comp.rative Study in Xi County, China

In the p.st few decades, Chinese government attemp.ed to reduce the economic b.rden of chronic diseases and lower family financial risk of p.tients b. estab.ishing a nationwide coverage of Social Health Insurance system. However, the p.yment mode of Social Health Insurance varies across Chinese healthcare settings, and the effectiveness of each mode differs. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of integrated case p.yment on medical exp.nditure and readmission of inp.tients with chronic ob.tructive p.lmonary disease （COp.）, a comp.ex, multicomp.nent, chronic condition. A nonrandomized, comp.rative method was used in this study. Inp.tients with COp. b.fore （n=1569） and after the integrated case p.yment reform （n=4764） were selected from the inp.tient information datab.se of the New Coop.rative Medical Scheme Agency of Xi County. The integrated case p.yment comp.ises the case p.yment （including p.ice-cap.case p.yment and fixed-reimb.rsement case p.yment） and clinical p.thway （including clinical p.thway A, clinical p.thway b.and clinical p.thway C）. Effects of integrated case p.yment were evaluated with indicators of p.r cap.ta total medical exp.nse and readmission within 30 days. A multivariate linear regression and a b.nary logistic regression were used to conduct statistical analysis. The results showed that case p.yment, comp.ising p.ice-cap.case p.yment （β=2382.988, p.0.001） and fixed-reimb.rsement case p.yment β=2613.564, p.0.001）, and clinical p.thway C （β=1996.467, p.0.001） were risk factors of p.r cap.ta total medical exp.nses. Clinical p.thway A （β=-1443.409, p.0.001） and clinical p.thway b.（β=-1583.791, p.0.001） were p.otective factors. The interactive effects of case p.yment with hosp.tal level （β=0.710, p.0.001） lowered the readmission rate within 30 days. Meanwhile, clinical p.thways A （β=18.949, p.0.001）, b.（β=-19.752, p.0.001） and C （β=-1.882, p.0.1） were associated with the rate increase. Effect of group.size and regroup.ng on p.ysiological stress and b.havior of dairy calves

Mixing or regroup.ng of calves from different p.ns is a common animal management p.actice on the farm, which frequently occurs after weaning and has a negative effect on calve welfare. Social integration b.fore regroup.ng may relieve stresses, b.t more evidences are needed to verify this hyp.thesis. The p.esent study aimed to investigate acute p.ysiological and b.havioral variations of individually-or group.housed calves after b.ing introduced into a mixed group. A total of 132 p.stnatal calves were randomly divided into group. of 1, 3, 6 and 12 animals(S, G3, G6, and G12;6 rep.icates in each group. until 59 days of age. At 60 days of age, every two rep.icates from different group.(S, G3, G6 and G12)were introduced in a larger p.n which containing 44 of the ab.ved exp.rimental calves. b.fore and after regroup.ng,p.ysiological p.rameters of stress, including heart rate(HR), saliva cortisol(S-CORT), saliva secretory immunoglob.lin A(SIgA), interleukin-2(IL-2), interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) levels, and b.havioral resp.nses were recorded. After regroup.ng, HR and S-CORT increased immediately(p.0.05), and higher(p.0.05) levels of such molecules were found in S calves comp.red to those in group.housed calves. Levels of SIgA and IL-2 were decreased(p.0.05), and the lowest(p.0.05) IL-2 values were found in S calves comp.red to those in group.housed calves. In addition, the introduced calves disp.ayed a distinct b.havior, including altered active and rest time, which was associated with negative emotions triggered b. the novel surroundings. Allogrooming, p.ay, exp.oration b.haviors and lying time were increased significantly(p.0.05) in group.housed calves than those in S calves. Conversely, self-grooming, aggressive b.haviors, standing and walking time were increased(p.0.05) in S calves than those in group.housed calves. b.ckground:This study aims to assess the effects of a forestation p.ogram and climate change on the annual and seasonal water b.lance of the b.gowonto catchment(597 km^(2))in Java,*** catchment study is rare examp.e in Indonesia where forestation has b.en ap.lied at the catchment ***,since the forestation p.ogram has b.en initiated,evaluations of the p.ogram only focus on the p.anting area targets,while the environmental success e.g.,imp.cts on the hydrological p.ocesses have never b.en *** study used a calib.ated Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)model to diagnose the isolated and comb.ned effects of forestation and climate change on five water b.lance comp.nents,namely streamflow(Q),evap.transp.ration(ET),surface runoff(Q_(s)),lateral flow(Q_(l))and b.se flow(Q_(b.).Results:The results show that from 2006 to 2019,forest cover has increased from 2.7% to 12.8% of the total area,while in the same p.riod there was an increase in the mean annual and seasonal temp.rature,rainfall,and *** of SWAT simulations show that changes in the mean annual and seasonal water b.lance under the forestation only scenario were relatively minor,while changes were more p.onounced under the climate change only *** on the comb.ned imp.cts scenario,it was ob.erved that the effects of a larger forest area on the water b.lance were smaller than the effects of climate ***:Although we found that forestation p.ogram has minor imp.cts comp.red to that of climate change on the hydrological p.ocesses in the b.gowonto catchment,seasonally,forestation activity has decreased the streamflow and surface runoff during the wet season which may reduce the risk of moderate ***,much attention should b. p.id to the way how forestation may result in severe drought events during the dry ***,we urge the imp.rtance of accounting for the p.sitive and negative effects in future forestation p.ograms.

Herein,we rep.rt the synthesis of Zn_(0.7)Mg_(0.3)Nd_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4)(where,x=0,0,0,01,0,02)ferrite nanop.rticles b. emp.oying the sol-gel auto-comb.stion *** X-ray diffraction(XRD)p.ttern suggests the formation of a p.re cub.c structure,without any imp.rity p.ase,with an Fd3m sp.ce group.at room *** increasing dop.ng amount,the crystallite size is rep.rted as 35-41 nm,while the lattice p.rameters rise from 0.8381 to 0.8395 *** emission scanning electron microscop.(FESEM)images show the formation of sp.erical grains with agglomerated morp.ology in all the samp.es,with grain sizes ranging from 49 to 103 *** disp.rsive X-ray sp.ctroscop.(EDX)and elemental map.ing investigation confirm the chemical p.rity of all the *** transform infrared(FTIR)analysis shows the p.esence of two p.ominent p.aks around 440 and 560 cm^(-1)that corresp.nd to the octahedral and tetrahedral *** addition,the existence of five Raman active vib.atio nal modes in all p.oduced sp.cimens again confirms the structural p.rity of all the *** M-H curve shows that saturation magnetization(M_(s))first increases from 14.98 to 28.22 emu/g and then decreases to 18.98emu/g with increasing dop.ng *** is due to the A-b.typ. sup.r-exchange interaction for the synthesized *** variation in coercivity(H_(c))and magnetic anisotrop.(K_(1))suggest the thermal stab.lity of all the samp.es and can b. utilized in transformers and solenoids.

The main ob.ective of this p.p.r is to analyze the relationship. b.tween the p.oductive p.ocess and the commercial trade with water resources used b. them. For that the goal is to find out, b. means of the estimation of water emb.died in the exp.rted crop. which have the highest exp.rt comp.titiveness and lower water consump.ion. The finding contradicts not only the comp.rative advantages theory b.t also the resources sustainab.lity logic. This conclusion is derived from the great exp.rts of water via tomatoes and low p.ofitab.e vegetab.es from p.oducers＇ p.rsp.ctive b.t not economical from social p.rsp.ctives as shown in domestic resource coefficient. The diversion b.tween financial and economic p.ofitab.lity is due to heavily irrigation water sub.idy. The results confirm that Jordan utilizes large amounts of water in its exp.rts, and in turn, it does not exp.rt goods with low water requirements. The p.tential saving would b. very significant and agricultural sector need to modify the use of water to a great extent in order to reach significant water savings and an environmental sustainab.lity. Jordan has to imp.ement p.licies that reduced, or even ab.ndoned, the exp.rt and the p.oduction of water-intensive crop.. Therefore, they have to b. rep.aced with either imp.rts or crop. that op.imize the water resources.

p.tential fly-ash utilization in agriculture:A glob.l review

Though in last four decades various alternate energy sources have come into the limelight, the hyp.rb.lic use of coal as a p.ime energy source cannot b. counterb.lanced. Disp.sal of high amount of fly-ash from thermal p.wer p.ants ab.orb. huge amount of water, energy and land area b. ash p.nds. In order to meet the growing energy demand, various environmental, economic and social p.ob.ems associated with the disp.sal of fly-ash would continue to increase. Therefore, fly-ash management would remain a great concern of the century. Fly-ash has great p.tentiality in agriculture due to its efficacy in modification of soil health and crop.p.rformance. The high concentration of elements (K, Na, Zn, Ca, Mg and Fe) in fly-ash increases the yield of many agricultural crop.. b.t comp.red to other sectors, the use of fly-ash in agriculture is limited. An exhaustive review of numerous studies of last four decades took p.ace in this p.p.r, which systematically covers the imp.rtance, scop. and ap.rehension regarding utilization of fly-ash in agriculture. The authors concluded that though studies have estab.ished some solutions to handle the p.ob.ems of radioactivity and heavy metal content in fly-ash, long-term confirmatory research and demonstration are necessary. This p.p.r also identified some areas, like p.op.r handling of dry ash in p.ants as well as in fields, ash p.nd management (i.e., faster decantation, recycling of water, vertical exp.nsion rather than horizontal), monitoring of soil health, crop.quality, and fate of fly-ash in time domain, where research thrust is required. Agricultural lime ap.lication contrib.tes to glob.l warming as Intergovernmental p.nel on Climate Change (Ip.C) assumes that all the carb.n in agricultural lime is finally released as CO2 to the atmosp.ere. It is exp.cted that use of fly-ash instead of lime in agriculture can reduce net CO2 emission, thus reduce glob.l warming also.
