We study a p.ob.em called the k-means p.ob.em with p.nalties(k-Mp.p.,which is a natural generalization of the typ.cal k-means *** this p.ob.em,we have a set D of client p.ints in R^(d),a set F of p.ssib.e centers in R^(d),and a p.nalty cost p.>O for each p.int j∈*** are also given an integer k which is the size of the center p.int *** want to find a center p.int set S■F with size k,choose a p.nalized sub.et of clients p.D,and assign every client in D\p.to its op.n *** goal is to minimize the sum of the squared distances b.tween every p.int in D\p.to its assigned centre p.int and the sum of the p.nalty costs for all clients in *** using the multi-swap.local search technique and under the fixed-dimensional Euclidean sp.ce setting,we p.esent a p.lynomial-time ap.roximation scheme(p.AS)for the k-Mp.p.

Tile b.sic features of ob.ect-oriented software makes it difficult to ap.ly traditional testing methods in ob.ectoriented systems. Control Flow Grap. （CFG） is a well-known model used for identification of indep.ndent p.ths in p.ocedural software. This p.p.r highlights the p.ob.em of constructing CFG in ob.ect-oriented systems and p.op.ses a new model named Extended Control Flow Grap. （ECFG） for code b.sed analysis of Ob.ect-Oriented （OO） software. ECFG is a layered CFG where nodes refer to methods rather than statements. A new metrics Extended Cyclomatic Comp.exity （E-CC） is develop.d which is analogous to McCab.＇s Cyclomatic Comp.exity （CC） and refers to the numb.r of indep.ndent execution p.ths within the OO software. The different ways in which CFG＇s of individual methods are connected in an ECFG are p.esented and formulas for E-CC for these different cases are p.op.sed. Finally we have considered an examp.e in Java and b.sed on its ECFG, ap.lied these cases to arrive at the E-CC of the total system as well as p.op.sed a methodology for calculating the b.sis set, i.e., the set of indep.ndent p.ths for the OO system that will help.in creation of test cases for code testing.

In recent years,b.ochar has attracted considerab.e attention for soil quality imp.ovement and carb.n sequestration due to its unique p.ysicochemical ***,the mechanism b. which b.ochar ap.lication negatively affects the growth of crop.seedlings has not b.en fully *** this study,a hydrop.nic exp.riment was conducted to evaluate the resp.nse of rice,wheat,and corn seedlings to b.ochar ap.lication(CK,0 g/L;b.1,0.5 g/L;and b.2,1.0 g/L).Comp.red with the CK treatment,the b.1 and b.2 treatments decreased the fresh shoot and root weights of rice and corn seedlings(p.0.05),b.t there was no significant effect on wheat seedlings(p.0.05).For the contents of nutrient elements in seedlings,b.th b.1 and b.2 treatments hindered the roots from ab.orb.ng Fe and Cu and increased the up.ake of Ca and *** with the CK treatment,the translocation factor(TF)values of Ca,Mn,and Zn were significantly decreased esp.cially in rice seedlings(35.3%-36.8%,68.7%-76.5%,and 29.8%-22.0%,resp.ctively)under the b.1 and b.2 treatments,while only Mn was significantly decreased in wheat and corn seedlings(p.0.05).Transmission electron microscop.(TEM)analysis of root cross-sections showed that nano-sized b.ochar p.rticles(10~23 nm)were found in the root cells under b.2 treatment *** findings reveal that a large amount of b.ochar ap.lication can reduce nutrient ab.orp.ion and translocation,and hinder rice,wheat,and corn seedlings,p.rticularly rice seedling,in hydrop.nic system.

Actinob.cterial community is a consp.cuous p.rt of aquatic ecosystems and disp.ays an imp.rtant role in the case of b.ogeochemical cycle,b.t little is known ab.ut the seasonal variation of actinob.cterial community in reservoir ecological *** this study,the high-throughp.t techniques were used to investigate the structure of the aquatic actinob.cterial community and its inducing water quality p.rameters in different *** results showed that the highest diversity and ab.ndance of actinob.cterial community occurred in winter,with Sp.richthya(45.42%)b.ing the most ab.ndant genus and Rhodococcus sp.(29.32%)b.ing the most ab.ndant *** analysis and correlation analysis suggested that in autumn the dynamics of actinob.cterial community were infuenced b. more factors and Nocardioides ***2R5S2 was the p.tential keystone sp.cies which was negatively correlated with temp.rature(R=-0.72,p.0.05).Changes in environmental factors could significantly affect the changes in actinob.cterial community,and the dynamics of temp.rature,dissolved oxygen(DO),and turb.dity are p.tential consp.cuous factors infuencing seasonal actinob.cterial community *** p.rtial least squares p.th modeling further elucidated that the comb.ned effects of DO and temp.rature not only in the diversity of actinob.cterial community b.t also in other water qualities,while the p.ysiochemical p.rameters(p.th coefficient=1.571,p.0.05)was strong environmental factors in natural mixture *** results strengthen our understanding of the dynamics and structures of actinob.cterial community in the drinking water reservoirs and p.ovide scientific guidance for further water quality management and p.otection in water sources.

The effect of evolutionary history on wood density variation may p.ay an imp.rtant role in shap.ng variation in wood density,b.t this has largely not b.en *** a comp.ehensive glob.l dataset including 27,297 measurements of wood density from 2621 tree sp.cies worldwide,we test the hyp.thesis that the legacy of evolutionary history p.ays an imp.rtant role in driving the variation of wood density among tree *** assessed p.ylogenetic signal in different taxonomic(e.g.,angiosp.rms and gymnosp.rms)and ecological(e.g.,trop.cal,temp.rate,and b.real)group. of tree sp.cies,exp.ored the b.ogeograp.ical and p.ylogenetic p.tterns of wood density,and quantified the relative imp.rtance of current environmental factors(e.g.,climatic and soil variab.es)and evolutionary history(i.e.,p.ylogenetic relatedness among sp.cies and lineages)in driving glob.l wood density *** found that wood density disp.ayed a significant p.ylogenetic *** density differed among different b.omes and climatic zones,with higher mean values of wood density in relatively drier regions(highest in sub.rop.cal desert).Our study revealed that at a glob.l scale,for angiosp.rms and gymnosp.rms comb.ned,p.ylogeny and sp.cies(rep.esenting the variance exp.ained b. taxonomy and not direct exp.ained b. long-term evolution p.ocess)exp.ained 84.3%and 7.7%of total wood density variation,resp.ctively,whereas current environment exp.ained 2.7%of total wood density variation when p.ylogeny and sp.cies were taken into *** angiosp.rms and gymnosp.rms were considered sep.rately,the three p.op.rtions of exp.ained variation are,resp.ctively,84.2%,7.5%and 6.7%for angiosp.rms,and 45.7%,21.3%and 18.6%for *** study shows that evolutionary history outp.ced current environmental factors in shap.ng glob.l variation in wood density.
