Superplastic Tension Behavior of Dissimilar TC4/SP700 Laminate through Diffusion Bonding

Superplastic forming is a practical method to manufacture complex-shaped parts of titanium alloys with large *** parts of dissimilar titanium alloys fabricated by superplastic forming can achieve excellent performance by combining the advantages of *** work displays the superplastic tension behavior and microstructural evolution of dissimilar TC4/SP700 laminate prepared by the diffusion bonding *** titanium alloys can achieve metallurgical bonding at parameters of 800℃/1 h/5 *** for dynamic recrystallization and grain growth behaviors upon superplastic tension,stress-induced phase transformation plays an important role inαtoβphase transformation apart from the elevated *** superplastic deformation can be attributed to the grain boundary sliding accommodated multiplex motion of *** addition,the retained strengths of all dissimilar TC4/SP700 laminates after superplastic deformation with different strain rates and temperatures range from 807 to 890 MPa.

3D-printed MoS_(2)/Ni electrodes with excellent electro-catalytic performance and long-term stability for dechlorination of florfenicol

Here,we report the production of 3D-printed MoS_(2)/Ni electrodes(3D-MoS_(2)/Ni)with longterm stability and excellent performance by the selective laser melting(SLM)*** a cathode,the obtained 3D-MoS_(2)/Ni could maintain a degradation rate above 94.0%for forfenicol(FLO)when repeatedly used 50 times in *** also found that the removal rate of FLO by 3D-MoS_(2)/Ni was about 12 times higher than that of 3D-printed pure Ni(3D-Ni),attributed to the improved accessibility of H^(*).In addition,the electrochemical characterization results showed that the electrochemically active surface area of the 3D-MoS_(2)/Ni electrode is about 3-fold higher than that of the 3D-Ni electrode while the electrical resistance is 4 times *** on tert-butanol suppression,electron paramagnetic resonance and triple quadrupole mass spectrometer experiments,a“dual path”mechanism and possible degradation pathway for the dechlorination of FLO by 3D-MoS_(2)/Ni were ***,we also investigated the impacts of the cathode potential and the initial pH of the solution on the degradation of ***,this study reveals that the SLM 3D printing technique is a promising approach for the rapid fabrication of high-stability metal electrodes,which could have broad application in the control of water contaminants in the environmental field.

Assessing the impact of heat mitigation measures on thermal performance and energy demand at the community level:A pathway toward designing net-zero energy communities

In the context of escalating global energy demands,urban areas,specifically the building sector,contribute to the largest energy consumption,with urban overheating exacerbating this *** urban modelling for heat-mitigation and reduction of energy demand is crucial steps towards a sustainable built-environment,complementing onsite energy generation in the design and development of Net-zero Energy(NZE)Settlement,especially in the context of Australian weather *** a significant gap in existing literature,this study offers empirical analysis on the climate and energy efficacy of integrated heat mitigation strategies applied in 14 neighbourhood typologies located in Sydney,*** the application of cool materials on roads,pavements,and rooftops,alongside urban vegetation enhancement,the analysis demonstrates scenario effectiveness on heat mitigation that leads to reduce ambient temperature and energy demands along with CO_(2)emissions within the *** building arrangement,built-area ratio,building height,and locations,ENVI-met and CitySim are utilized to assess the heat-mitigation and the energy demand of neighbourhoods,*** indicate that mitigation measures can lead up to a 2.71℃reduction in ambient temperature and over 25%reduction in Cooling Degree Hours,with a 34.34%reduction in cooling energy demand and overall energy savings of up to 12.49%.In addition,the annual energy-saving yields a CO_(2)reduction of approximately 141.12 tonnes,where additional vegetation further amplifies these reductions by enhancing CO_(2)*** study showcases the pathway towards achieving NZE goals in climates similar to that of Australia,highlighting significant benefits in heat-mitigation,environmental impact,and energy-savings.

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs)have attracted increasing attention in next-generation energy storage systems due to their high safety and ***,the side reactions,dendrites and hydrogen evolution effects at the zinc anode interface in aqueous electrolytes seriously hinder the application of aqueous zinc-ion ***,we report a critical solvation strategy to achieve reversible zinc electrochemistry by introducing a small polar molecule acetonitrile to form a“catcher”to arrest active molecules(bound water molecules).The stable solvation structure of[Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+)is capable of maintaining and completely inhibiting free water ***[Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+)is partially desolvated in the Helmholtz outer layer,the separated active molecules will be arrested by the“catcher”formed by the strong hydrogen bond N-H bond,ensuring the stable desolvation of Zn^(2+).The Zn||Zn symmetric battery can stably cycle for 2250 h at 1 mAh cm^(-2),Zn||V_(6)O_(13) full battery achieved a capacity retention rate of 99.2%after 10,000 cycles at 10 A g^(-1).This paper proposes a novel critical solvation strategy that paves the route for the construction of high-performance AZIBs.

Traditional photosensitizers show limited singlet oxygen generation in hypoxic infection lesions,which greatly suppress their performance in antibacterial ***,there still is lack of feasible design strategy for developing hypoxia-overcoming photosensitizers ***,radical generation ofπ-conjugated small molecules is efficiently manipulated by an individual selenium(Se)*** this strategy,the first proof-of-concept study of a Se-anchored oligo(thienyl ethynylene)(OT-Se)with high-performance superoxide radical(O_(2)^(·-))and hydroxyl radical(·OH)generation capability is present,and achieves efficient antibacterial activities towards the clinically extracted multidrug-resistant bacteria methicillin-resistant ***(MRSA)and carbapenem-resistant ***(CREC)at sub-micromolar concentration under a low white light irradiation(30 mW/cm^(2)).The water-dispersible OT-Se shows a good bacteria-anchoring capability,biocompatibility,and complete elimination of multidrug-resistant bacteria wound infection in *** work offers a strategy to boost type-I photodynamic therapy(PDT)performance for efficient antibacterial treatments,advancing the development of antibacterial agents.
