Skill Premium, Biased Technological Change and Income Differences

Using 1987-2006panel data for China, we explore the dynamics of the skill premium. The present paper focuses on the skill premium as an explanation for why income differences are so large in China. Our empirics show that： the rise in the relative supply of skilled labor results in an increase, instead of a decrease, in the skill premium; domestic investment is not complementary with skill formation; the skill premium is higher in more developed provinces; economic openness facilitates an increase in the skill premium; whether foreign direct investment induces skill-based technology change or not, it drives up the skill premium. An array of policy prescriptions for reducing income differences and ensuring sustained economic growth are provided.

Financial crisis prediction(FCP)models are used for predicting or forecasting the financial status of a company or financial *** is considered a challenging issue in the financial *** and machine learning(ML)models can be employed for the design of accurate FCP *** numerous works have existed in the literature,it is needed to design effective FCP models adaptable to different *** study designs a new bird swarm algorithm(BSA)with fuzzy min-max neural network(FMM-NN)model,named BSA-FMMNN for *** major intention of the BSA-FMMNN model is to determine the financial status of a firm or *** presented BSA-FMMNN model primarily undergoes minmax normalization to transform the data into uniformity ***,k-medoid clustering approach is employed for the outlier removal ***,the classification process is carried out using the FMMNN model,and the parameters involved in it are tuned by the use of *** utilization of proficient parameter selection process using BSA demonstrate the novelty of the *** experimental result analysis of the BSA-FMMNN model is validated using benchmark dataset and the comparative outcomes highlighted the supremacy of the BSA-FMMNN model over the recent approaches.

Without intending to do so, China has in recent years played a major role in East Asia＇s economic integration. It has done so mainly through the production and supply chain networks it has spun across the region. This paper argues that given the developmental trends in the Chinese economy, the Chinese government should pursue a more active strategy towards a broader and more balanced economic integration with the region. The emergence of a multi-track production structure, increased importance of domestic consumption and the services sector, together with faster integration of the domestic economy, will fundamentally change China＇s trade and investment relationships with the rest of East Asia and necessitate a review of China＇s economic integration strategy. The paper also argues that ASEAN can play a useful role in facilitating the region-wide integration process.

The international energy situation has entered a new phase of change and readjustment. On the one hand, while imbalances in petroleum market supply-demand have been alleviated, the consuming states are now focusing on demand side management and development of new and renewable energy. There has been great progress in international energy security dialogue and cooperation. On the other hand, supply-demand market balance remains fragile , and restrictions due to insufficient energy investment are more evident. The concerned states have taken a stronger grip over their own resources. Implementation of energy diplomacy has also further complicated the relationship between energy and geo-politics, causing an upsurge of competition.

Outsourcing elderly home-based service reduces risk, improves service quality and efficiency while there are risks mainly for demand-side risk and supply-side risk. In order to prevent these risks, risk-management framework should be constructed with risk preparedness, risk identification, risk analysis, risk assessment and risk disposal as a whole process. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions to strengthen the legal regulation, improve the supervision mechanism, strengthen the purchasing performance evaluation and improve the capability ofnonprofits to delivery the service and so on,

Service system or service management is a value coproduction configuration of person, facilities, tools, organizational network, technology, internal and external service systems connected via value propositions, and shared information that satisfy the needs or aspirations of customers. The mankind has entered the era of globalization in 21st century, the interdependence of things in service system becomes closer and the interaction is more complex. The service system is a complex system that is affected by the demand forecasting, customer relationship, public relations, customer behavior, satisfaction, and retention, service cost, profitability of service investment, risk, and so on.
