An analytical queuing model is proposed for the classified services of WiMAX network. Simulation model is also developed that corresponds to the Markovian analytical model using Java modeling tool （JMT）. This is a new and efficient discrete event tool for queuing network modeling and workload analysis. QoS metrics have been evaluated for the multi-rate traffic in multiple scenari- os. Results obtained from simulation are compared for validation and analysis. Outcomes show that the proposed model is more efficient than the conventional method by improving residence time, re- sponse time, increasing system throughput and efficiency at queuing level with a slight degradation in call acceptance factor.

in Balochistan, Agriculture is dominated by small-scale farmers and the apple production sector is confronted with the chronic constraint of low output per unit of input. Although some agricultural policies have been implemented in this province, studies on effectiveness and impacts of such policies over apple production and farmers' performance are still limited. This study is an effort to bridge the research gap on this potential crop in the plateau by investigating technical and scale efficiency of 181 officially designated small-scale apple farmers in mountainous district Mastung in Balochistan; then explored factors that underlie differences in production inefficiency. A two-stage input-oriented Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) methodology was employed to evaluate technical and scale efficiency followed by truncated bootstrapped regression framework to analyze the correlative determinants to efficiency. Average technical and scale efficiencies of larger landholders were higher than medium and small landholders. Analysis indicated that there is still ample scope for inefficient sample farmers to reduce the input use by 33% without compromising the given yield level. Maximum contributions to the total input savings were from the use of urea, farm yard manure(FYM) and labor-use. Farmer's experience, farm ownership, irrigation constraints, and farmer's access to trainings, credit and extension services significantly affected apple farmers' technical efficiency. Based on the findings of this study, strategies are suggested to enhancing efficiencies by farmers' capacity development through effective extension services and trainings and provision of adequate credit.

Coastal areas in the eastern sub-region of Thailand,a popular destination in Southeast Asia,are facing rapid tourism-related urbanization and associated consequences of environment and climate change(CC).Thus,this study aims to analyze the relationships between tourism,coastal areas,the environment,and CC in the context of tourism urbanization;and recommend strategies for enhancing the governance of coastal *** popular destinations were selected as study areas,Koh Chang,Koh Mak,and *** discussions,questionnaire surveys,in-terviews,and observation were used for primary data collection together with secondary *** results show that the development of these destinations has been incompatible with the coastal environment and CC *** urbanization from tourism development is the main driver of environmental changes and makes the areas vulnerable to CC-related *** water scarcity and pollution are found the most critical environmental issues of the destinations,coastal areas are negatively affected in terms of increased air and water pollution and resource *** have also been exposed to different CC-related problems while the risks of accumulative impacts of both environment and CC have not been adequately recognized or *** some measures have provided synergies of improved environment and increased climate resilience,possible conflicts and gaps were also *** infrastructure integration and optimization to enhance coastal areas'environment and climate resilience are suggested.

The power sector has substantial carbon emissions reduction potential that could achieve the new nationally determined contribution target in 2030 by increasing low-carbon technologies,*** renewable energy sources and electric vehicles(EVs).Therefore,two approaches were suggested in this *** the first approach,Thailand’s power sector was modelled by using PLEXOS software to find the impact of the high penetration of variable renewable energy(RE)and EV charging load for the projected year *** second approach proposed a demand-response and energy storage system solution with carbon pricing in the model to assess the *** a result,the electricity demand from charging EVs will cause a new peak demand at night,while the high variable RE penetration will cause curtailment in the power system due to excess supply at ***,Thailand’s power sector has the potential for carbon emissions reduction by 45%with clean energy technologies,which could increase to 68%with carbon pricing,easily achievable by the nationally determined contribution target in ***,these benefits could only be derived if various entities involved in the energy regulatory,transport and power sectors coordinate to implement the required technological and financial policies.

This work aims to investigate the factors accelerating electric vehicle(EV)acceptance at the consumer end in Pakistan and analyzes the implications for policymakers for a fast-track EV *** study further in-vestigates the high EV penetration scenario resulting from the technology acceptance model(TAM's 80%EV)and its impact on energy demand and CO_(2)*** study design used a quantitative analysis method with the survey as an instrument for data collection regarding EV *** model under investigation was adapted from the famous Technology-Acceptance Models(TAMs)and modified with other significant predictors evidenced in the *** and stepwise regression were performed with a multicollinearity check for model hypothesis *** of six predictors,only four factors were significant in accelerating the EV *** policies were found to be highly significant,followed by environmental concern,facilitating conditions and perceived ease of *** research then used exponential smoothing forecasts for transport demand and developed an EV penetration scenario based on modified TAM *** results highlight the significant in-crease in transport demand and the opportunity for Pakistan to limit passenger transport emissions to 36.6 MT instead of 61.6 MT by 2040.

in this paper, we propose a decentralized parallel computation model for global optimization using interval analysis. The model is adaptive to any number of processors and the workload is automatically and evenly distributed among all processors by alternative message passing. The problems received by each processor are processed based on their local dominance properties, which avoids unnecessary interval evaluations. Further, the problem is treated as a whole at the beginning of computation so that no initial decomposition scheme is required. Numerical experiments indicate that the model works well and is stable with different number of parallel processors, distributes the load evenly among the processors, and provides an impressive speedup, especially when the problem is time-consuming to solve.

The Global Positioning System(GPS)is expected to play an integral role in the development of digital earth;however,the GPS cannot provide positioning information in regions where a majority of the population spends their time,that is,in urban and indoor ***,alternate positioning systems that work in indoor and urban environments should be developed to achieve the vision of digital ***-Fi-based positioning systems(WPS)stand out because of the near-ubiquitous presence of the associated infrastructure and signals in indoor *** WPS-based fingerprinting is the most widely adopted technique for position determination,but its accuracy is lower than that of techniques such as time of arrival and angle of *** the accuracy is still a challenging task because of the complex nature of the propagation of Wi-Fi ***,a novel server-based,genetic-algorithm-optimized,cascading artificial neural network-based positioning model is *** model is tested in 2D and 3D indoor environments under varying *** model is thoroughly investigated on a real Wi-Fi network,and its accuracy is found to be better than that of other well-known techniques.A mean accuracy of 1.9 m is achieved with 87%of the distance error within the range of 0-3 m.
