Professional dance is characterized by high impulsiveness,elegance,and aesthetic *** order to reach the desired professionalism,it requires years of long and exhausting practice,good physical condition,musicality,but also,a good understanding of *** dance motions and transferring them to digital avatars is commonly used in the film and entertainment ***,so far,access to high-quality dance data is very limited,mainly due to the many practical difficulties in capturing the movements of dancers,making it prohibitive for largescale data *** this paper,we present a model that enhances the professionalism of amateur dance movements,allowing movement quality to be improved in both spatial and temporal *** model consists of a dance-to-music alignment stage responsible for learning the optimal temporal alignment path between dance and music,and a dance-enhancement stage that injects features of professionalism in both spatial and temporal *** learn a homogeneous distribution and credible mapping between the heterogeneous professional and amateur datasets,we generate amateur data from professional dances taken from the AIST++*** demonstrate the effectiveness of our method by comparing it with two baseline motion transfer methods via thorough qualitative visual controls,quantitative metrics,and a perceptual *** also provide temporal and spatial module analysis to examine the mechanisms and necessity of key components of our framework.

Click-Through Rate Prediction Network Based on User Behavior Sequences and Feature Interactions

In recent years,deep learning has been widely applied in the fields of recommendation systems and click-through rate(CTR)prediction,and thus recommendation models incorporating deep learning have *** addition,the design and implementation of recommendation models using information related to user behavior sequences is an important direction of current research in recommendation systems,and models calculate the likelihood of users clicking on target items based on their behavior sequence *** order to explore the relationship between features,this paper improves and optimizes on the basis of deep interest network(DIN)proposed by Ali’s *** on the user behavioral sequences information,the attentional factorization machine(AFM)is integrated to obtain richer and more accurate behavioral sequence *** addition,this paper designs a new way of calculating attention weights,which uses the relationship between the cosine similarity of any two vectors and the absolute value of their modal length difference to measure their relevance ***,a novel deep learning CTR prediction mode is proposed,that is,the CTR prediction network based on user behavior sequence and feature interactions deep interest and machines network(DIMN).We conduct extensive comparison experiments on three public datasets and one private music dataset,which are more recognized in the industry,and the results show that the DIMN obtains a better performance compared with the classical CTR prediction model.

Merging Drama with Medical Education: Simulation in Learning Breaking Bad News Pre- and Post-Study

Objective: Using simulation in medical education was introduced in the 17th century, applying different techniques. The introduction of using simulated patients (SP) was also of great importance in both learning and evaluation processes. Aims: This current study aims at assessing medical students’ perception about the use of well-trained drama students from the school of Arts in simulated session of breaking bad news encounter. Study Design: This is a per- and post-test study. Methods: 112 students were asked to fill a pre-validated questionnaire, who trained from January 2017 till the end of July 2017 pre- and post-exposure to simulated clinical encounter, where one well trained senior drama student played the role of patient, one student played the doctor who would break the bad news (BBN), debriefing before the encounter, and discussion after took place. Another validated questionnaire was distributed after the encounter, to assess the students’ experience. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS version 20. Results: Scores of all questions showed statistically significant improvement after the simulation session (p-value Conclusion: Simulation encounter, using drama students who are well-trained in human grief reaction, making BBN learning more positive and effective, merging two faculties improved the learning experience of both medical and Drama students.

Singing,as a method of combining respiratory function exercise and vocal intonation therapy,provides a new direction for respiratory function exercise in patients with spinal cord *** randomized controlled trial investigated the effects of oral motor respiratory exercise and vocal intonation therapy on respiratory function and vocal quality in patients with spinal cord *** 31 included patients with spinal cord injury,18 completed the *** 18 patients were randomly assigned to undergo music therapy(intervention group,30 min/d,5 times a week,for a total of 12 weeks;n=9,7 males and 2 females;30.33±11.74 years old)or normal respiratory training(control group,n=9;8 males and 1 female;34.78±11.13 years old).Both patient groups received routine treatment *** and at 6 and 12 weeks after intervention,a standard respiratory function test,a voice test,the ***'s Respiratory Questionnaire,and a quality of life questionnaire were *** results showed that the inspiratory capacity,forced expiratory volume in 1 second,forced vital capacity,maximal mid-expiratory flow rate,sing-loud pressure level,and sustained note length were significantly increased in the intervention group compared with the control *** ***'s Respiratory Questionnaire and quality of life results of patients in the intervention group were significantly superior to those in the control *** findings suggest that oral motor respiratory exercise and vocal intonation therapy,as respiratory training methods in music therapy,are effective and valuable for improving respiratory dysfunction and vocal quality in patients with spinal cord *** study was approved by the Ethics Committee of China Rehabilitation Research Center(approval No.2019-78-1)on May 27,2019 and was registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(registration number:Chi CTR1900026922)on October 26,2019.

Modified music estimation for correlated signals with compressive sampling arrays

This paper addresses the issue of the direction of arrival （DOA） estimation under the compressive sampling （CS） framework. A novel approach, modified multiple signal classification （Mmusic） based on the CS array （CSA-Mmusic）, is proposed to resolve the DOA estimation of correlated signals and two closely adjacent signals. By using two random CS matrices, a large size array is compressed into a small size array, which effectively reduces the number of the front end circuit. The theoretical analysis demonstrates that the proposed approach has the advantages of low computational complexity and hardware structure compared to other Mmusic approaches. Simulation results show that CSAMmusic can possess similar angular resolution as Mmusic.

Computationally efficient direction finding using polynomial rooting with reduced-order and real-valued computations

The root multiple signal classification（root-music） algorithm is one of the most important techniques for direction of arrival（DOA） estimation. Using a uniform linear array（ULA） composed of M sensors, this method usually estimates L signal DOAs by finding roots that lie closest to the unit circle of a（2M-1）-order polynomial, where L 〈 M. A novel efficient root-music-based method for direction estimation is presented, in which the order of polynomial is efficiently reduced to 2L. Compared with the unitary root-music（U-root-music） approach which involves real-valued computations only in the subspace decomposition stage, both tasks of subspace decomposition and polynomial rooting are implemented with real-valued computations in the new technique,which hence shows a significant efficiency advantage over most state-of-the-art techniques. Numerical simulations are conducted to verify the correctness and efficiency of the new estimator.

Joint DOA and polarization estimation for unequal power sources based on reconstructed noise subspace

In most literature about joint direction of arrival（DOA） and polarization estimation, the case that sources possess different power levels is seldom discussed. However, this case exists widely in practical applications, especially in passive radar systems. In this paper, we propose a joint DOA and polarization estimation method for unequal power sources based on the reconstructed noise subspace. The invariance property of noise subspace（IPNS） to power of sources has been proved an effective method to estimate DOA of unequal power sources. We develop the IPNS method for joint DOA and polarization estimation based on a dual polarized array. Moreover, we propose an improved IPNS method based on the reconstructed noise subspace, which has higher resolution probability than the IPNS method. It is theoretically proved that the IPNS to power of sources is still valid when the eigenvalues of the noise subspace are changed artificially. Simulation results show that the resolution probability of the proposed method is enhanced compared with the methods based on the IPNS and the polarimetric multiple signal classification（music） method. Meanwhile, the proposed method has approximately the same estimation accuracy as the IPNS method for the weak source.

Improved Eigenstructure-Based 2D DOA Estimation Approaches Based on Nystrom Approximation

In this paper,we propose improved approaches for two-dimensional(2 D) direction-of-arrival(DOA) estimation for a uniform rectangular array(URA).Unlike the conventional eigenstructure-based estimation approaches such as Multiple Signals Classification(music) and Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariance Technique(ESPRIT),the proposed approaches estimate signal and noise subspaces with Nystr?m approximation,which only need to calculate two sub-matrices of the whole sample covariance matrix and avoid the need to directly calculate the eigenvalue decomposition(EVD) of the sample covariance ***,the proposed approaches can improve the computational efficiency greatly for large-scale *** results verify the reliability and efficiency of the proposed approaches.
