Passive acoustic monitoring is emerging as a promising solution to the urgent, global need for new biodiversity assessment methods. The ecological relevance of the soundscape is increasingly recognised, and the affordability of robust hardware for remote audio recording is stimulating international interest in the potential for acoustic methods for biodiversity *** scale of the data involved requires automated methods,however, the development of acoustic sensor networks capable of sampling the soundscape across time and space and relaying the data to an accessible storage location remains a significant technical challenge, with power management at its core. Recording and transmitting large quantities of audio data is power intensive,hampering long-term deployment in remote, off-grid locations of key ecological interest. Rather than transmitting heavy audio data, in this paper, we propose a low-cost and energy efficient wireless acoustic sensor network integrated with edge computing structure for remote acoustic monitoring and in situ *** and computation of acoustic indices are carried out directly on edge devices built from low noise primo condenser microphones and Teensy microcontrollers, using internal FFT hardware support. Resultant indices are transmitted over a ZigBee-based wireless mesh network to a destination *** tests of audio quality, indices computation and power consumption demonstrate acoustic equivalence and significant power savings over current solutions.

Recent success of knowledge graphs has spurred interest in applying them in open science,such as on intelligent survey systems for ***,efforts to understand the quality of candidate survey questions provided by these methods have been ***,existing methods do not consider the type of on-the-fly content planning that is possible for face-to-face surveys and hence do not guarantee that selection of subsequent questions is based on response to previous questions in a *** address this limitation,we propose a dynamic and informative solution for an intelligent survey system that is based on knowledge *** illustrate our proposal,we look into social science surveys,focusing on ordering the questions of a questionnaire component by their level of acceptance,along with conditional triggers that further customise participants’*** main findings are:(i)evaluation of the proposed approach shows that the dynamic component can be beneficial in terms of lowering the number of questions asked per variable,thus allowing more informative data to be collected in a survey of equivalent length;and(ii)a primary advantage of the proposed approach is that it enables grouping of participants according to their responses,so that participants are not only served appropriate follow-up questions,but their responses to these questions may be analysed in the context of some initial *** believe that the proposed approach can easily be applied to other social science surveys based on grouping definitions in their *** knowledge-graph-based intelligent survey approach proposed in our work allows online questionnaires to approach face-to-face interaction in their level of informativity and responsiveness,as well as duplicating certain advantages of interview-based data collection.

Joint polarization and DOA estimation based on improved maximum likelihood estimator and performance analysis for conformal array

The affective computing of music is an essential component of the music artificial intelligence field, especially those regards human-computer interaction technology, as for music mode is a crucial component of musical emotion perceptions. To be more specific, the recognition skill of scales, the music mode material remains manually used today, which endow this research a great practical significance for using the algorithm to recognizing them in high speed. This paper describes how to classify the Chinese traditional scales（CTS） and annotate the emotional colors of the Chinese traditional music（CTM） through algorithm recognition methods, based on setting up a decision tree. This algorithm-testing database consists of MIDI samples either in CTS or not, while taking three steps to determine it: sample pre-processing, decision tree classification, result verification. The experiment results show the accuracy of this cognition method on samples were non restrict to CTS. Which prove the feasibility of indirectly obtaining emotion colors through the process to identify and classify CTM based on the decision tree.

The conformal array can make full use of the aperture,save space,meet the requirements of aerodynamics,and is sensitive to polarization *** has broad application prospects in military,aerospace,and communication *** joint polarization and direction-of-arrival(DOA)estimation based on the conformal array and the theoretical analysis of its parameter estimation performance are the key factors to promote the engineering application of the conformal *** solve these problems,this paper establishes the wave field signal model of the conformal ***,for the case of a single target,the cost function of the maximum likelihood(ML)estimator is rewritten with Rayleigh quotient from a problem of maximizing the ratio of quadratic forms into those of minimizing quadratic *** this basis,rapid parameter estimation is achieved with the idea of manifold separation technology(MST).Compared with the modified variable projection(MVP)algorithm,it reduces the computational complexity and improves the parameter estimation ***,the MST is used to solve the partial derivative of the steering ***,the theoretical performance of ML,the multiple signal classification(music)estimator and Cramer-Rao bound(CRB)based on the conformal array are derived respectively,which provides theoretical foundation for the engineering application of the conformal ***,the simulation experiment verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

musical analysis enables us to study the various elements of a musical work, for example texture, m dynamics, or harmony （including tonality）. Thanks to musical analysis we are able to trace the compos technique, or assess the artistic value of given work. In addition to traditional, descriptive methods of e it ody, onal music analysis, we can observe in 20th century the development of methods based on science （mathematics, otherwise statistics）. Such methodologies allow us to obtain a strict understanding of the structure of musical pieces Applying mathematical methods for musical analysis seems very reasonable in relation to the output of Frederic Chopin, due to large originality of the elements of musical pieces of this composer. Present paper was written as a result of research related to the applying of numerical method of analysis for exploring the tonal structure of Chopin＇s works. The author＇s research method enables a strict analysis of the chord＇s domination that can be classified under given key （range）--taking into consideration the harmonic functions. By the method of analysis we can get charts that depict whole diatonic vertical music material of the given piece. The main objective of the present study is to describe observations on the high uniqueness in the tonal construction of selected Chopin＇s mazurkas, especially, when compared to the miniatures of other composers of the first half of the 19th century and previously analyzed Chopin＇s pieces： etudes, preludes, and songs.

The East Asian Cultural Sphere of Time in Japanese music Books

The use of electronic organ to play national orchestral works is the research direction of the Modern Instrumental music Department of the school of Modern music of Xi'an Conservatory of music. At present, the research in this field is the first in China. The teaching and research section explores the use of electronic organ solo, ensemble, concerto and other musical performance forms, and has accumulated many national orchestral works(such as "The Prelude to the Celebration", "The Roots of the Ancients", "The Yellow River Imagination", etc.). Students of this major have won the first prize in the international competition of electronic organ in playing national orchestral works. It marks that the research topic of the teaching and research department has gone from the exploratory stage to the increasingly mature stage. Taking the National Symphony poem "Ten Sides Ambush" as an example, this paper discusses how to play the national orchestral works in the form of electronic organ duet.

Ancient Japanese music books have been quite effective in preserving the way the Chinese culture of time evolved dynamically *** the relationship of music and dance with the times and festivals revealed in Japanese music books can help restore the context of the rituals and customs of music lost in its Chinese *** Gagaku has succeeded in passing down the seasonal quality of ancient Chinese banquet music which echoed the cycle of times,seasons and phenology and produced a seasonal regularity under which the music corresponded to the *** more symbolic Chinese music and dance were selected as the standard music for festivals such as the Double Third Festival,the Double Seventh Festival,and the Dragon Boat *** many aspects of the Chinese culture of time that were accepted by Japan were threedimensional:they included not only the calendar,solar terms,festivals,and other points of time and knowledge of the seasons,but also cultural customs such as sacrificial ceremonies,music and dance,literary narratives,meat and drink,and sports and *** culture of time that originated from the Han and Tang dynasties not only sustains East Asian countries'identification with natural laws and time,but also shapes their societies'shared aesthetic perception of nature,time,and life.
