Promoted NH_(3)-SCR activity and hydrothermal stability of Cu-SSZ-50 catalyst synthesized by one-pot method

Nitrogen oxide(NO_(x))is one of the most critical contaminants in the air,and the control of NO_(x)emission from diesel vehicles is very ***-based small-pore zeolites have already been applied for NO_(x)abatement on diesel *** the small-pore zeolites,Cu-SSZ-50 catalysts with good NH_(3)-SCR catalytic activity were believed to have potential for *** this study,a one-pot synthesis method for Cu-SSZ-50 catalysts was developed for the first time,using the co-templates of Cu-TEPA and 2,6-dimethyl-N-methylpyridinium *** this synthesis method,Cu-SSZ-50 with various Cu contents can be obtained by adjusting the amount of Cu-TEPA without the need for a further after-treatment *** addition of Cu-TEPA affected the framework atoms and Cu species,and a lower Si/Al ratio and more SCR active Cu species were *** synthesized catalyst with a Cu/Al ratio of 0.40 exhibited over 90%NO_(x)conversion between 200℃and 450℃for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).Meanwhile,over 80%NO_(x)conversion could be obtained from 250℃to 450℃after hydrothermal aging at 750℃for 16 *** addition,both L-H and E-R mechanisms were proven to exist for the one-pot-synthesized Cu-SSZ-50 by in situ DRIFTS *** simple synthesis procedure,excellent catalytic activity and hydrothermal stability brighten the prospects for the application of Cu-SSZ-50.

Excellent alkali resistance of Fe,Ce and sulfates co-modified V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/TiO_(2) catalyst for selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x) with NH_(3)

Improving the alkali resistance of catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x) with NH_(3) is still a *** this work,the co-modification with Fe,Ce and sulfates on V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/TiO_(2) catalysts(denoted as xSFeCeVWTi) significantly enhances its alkali resistance with K element as a representative.A series of xSFeCeVWTi catalysts was synthesized by wet impregnation with designed 0.05Fe/V, 1.5Ce/V and different S/V molar ratios *** NO_(x) conversion and K resistance of xSFeCeVWTi catalysts increase with the increase of loading amounts of sulfates but no longer further increase as the sulfates load is excessive to block the pores of catalysts and hinder the adsorption of *** optimal modified catalyst in about 2.2S/V actual loading ratio,corresponding to 10.5SFeCeVWTi sample,shows over 99.0%NO_(x) conversion and N_(2) selectivity at 300-400℃ after *** interaction between Fe,Ce and V improves its redox ability but slightly weakens surface acidity,while the proper amount of sulfate species enriches surface Br?nsted acid sites but attenuates its redox ***,a balance of redox capacity and surface acidity,caused by Fe,Ce and sulfate co-modification,contributes to the excellent K resistance of 10.5SFeCeVWTi ***,the change of physicochemical properties influences the reaction mechanism which follows the Eley-Rideal mechanism on *** *** results show that the co-modification with Fe,Ce and sulfates is a good way to improve the alkali tolerance of V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/TiO_(2) catalyst in industrial applications.

Transforming layered 2D mats into multiphasic 3D nanofiber scaffolds with tailored gradient features for tissue regeneration

Multiphasic scaffolds with tailored gradient features hold significant promise for tissue regeneration applications. Herein, this work reports the transformation of two-dimensional (2D) layered fiber mats into three-dimensional (3D) multiphasic scaffolds using a ‘solids-of-revolution’ inspired gas-foaming expansion technology. These scaffolds feature precise control over fiber alignment, pore size, and regional structure. Manipulating nanofiber mat layers and Pluronic F127 concentrations allows further customization of pore size and fiber alignment within different scaffold regions. The cellular response to multiphasic scaffolds demonstrates that the number of cells migrated and proliferated onto the scaffolds is mainly dependent on the pore size rather than fiber alignment. In vivo subcutaneous implantation of multiphasic scaffolds to rats reveals substantial cell infiltration, neo tissue formation, collagen deposition, and new vessel formation within scaffolds, greatly surpassing the capabilities of traditional nanofiber mats. Histological examination indicates the importance of optimizing pore size and fiber alignment for the promotion of cell infiltration and tissue regeneration. Overall, these scaffolds have potential applications in tissue modeling, studying tissue-tissue interactions, interface tissue engineering, and highthroughput screening for optimized tissue regeneration.

Introduction: Lower extremity arterial disease in diabetic patients has distinct characteristics. Objectives: To study the hospital frequency of lower extremity arterial disease and identify associated factors in diabetic patients at the Libreville University Hospital center (CHUL). Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted from July 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024, in the endocrinology department of the CHUL. All patients with type 2 diabetes over the age of 18 admitted to this department, regardless of the reason for hospitalization, who provided informed consent, were included. Socio-demographic data and cardiovascular risk factors were recorded. Personal and family cardiovascular history and functional symptoms were investigated. The physical examination included measuring blood pressure, heart rate, and the ankle-brachial index in all patients. Results: A total of 219 patients were included, of whom 75 had lower extremity arterial disease, representing a prevalence of 34.24%. It was compensated in 28 cases (37.33%) and decompensated in 39 patients (52%). In eight cases (10.67%), there was critical chronic ischemia. Cardiovascular risk factors associated with diabetes were physical inactivity (89.5%), hypertension (55.25%), overweight (49.77%), obesity (22.84%), and smoking (10.04%). In multivariate analysis, only hypertension (OR = 2.09;95% CI: 1.05 - 4.17;p = 0.035) and LDL cholesterol (OR = 2.75;95% CI: 1.10 - 6.85;p = 0.03) were significantly associated with lower extremity arterial disease in diabetics at the University Hospital of Libreville. Conclusion: Lower extremity arterial disease is common in diabetic patients at the University Hospital of Libreville. It is often asymptomatic, thus requiring systematic screening.[-rId11-]

Changes in human settlement environments and their drivers in valley cities located in arid and semi-arid regions:A case study of Lanzhou in Western China

Relevance of medical Imaging in the Pre-Therapeutic Evaluation of Acute Intestinal Obstruction at CIMED

Objective: We initiated this work with the aim of studying the contribution of imaging in the diagnosis of acute intestinal obstruction at CIMED. Patients and methods: This was a prospective, descriptive and analytical study involving 96 patients collected at the radiology and medical imaging department of CIMED, from January 2022 to January 2023. Result: The age of our patients varied between 11 and 86 years with an average age of 36 years. There was a male predominance of 64.6% compared to 35.4% for women, i.e. a sex ratio of 1.82. The notion of previous surgery was found in 61.5% of our patients. Pain was present in all patients. Radiography of the ASP was performed in 89.6% of patients. It showed hydro-aerial levels in 96.5% of patients. Abdominopelvic CT was performed in 12 patients and made it possible to make the diagnosis of occlusion in all patients. The results of the positive diagnosis were concordant with those intraoperatively in 92% of cases. 8% of our patients, compared to the treatment, spontaneously resumed their transit, 91% benefited from surgical treatment and 1% died before surgery. The outcome was favorable in 80 patients or 83.3%, poor with death in 16 patients or 16.7% of cases. Conclusion: Acute intestinal obstruction remains a serious pathology for which ASP radiography often remains the only radiological examination performed urgently. However, abdominopelvic CT seems widely indicated thanks to its contribution both for the positive diagnosis and for the serious and etiological diagnoses. However, this imaging technique is largely underused in our practice due to its high cost and lack of availability.
