Global analysis of basic leucine zipper transcription factors in trifoliate orange and the function identification of PtbZiP49 in salt tolerance

As one of the most widely distributed and highly conserved transcription factors in eukaryotes,basic leucine zipper proteins(bZiPs)are involved in a variety of biological processes in plants,but they are largely unknown in *** this study,56 bZiP family members were identified genome-wide from an important citrus rootstock,namely trifoliate orange(Poncirus trifoliata ***.),and these putative bZiPs were named PtbZiP1—*** PtbZiPs were classified into 13 subgroups by phylogenetic comparison with Arabidopsis thaliana bZiPs(AtbZiPs),and they were randomly distributed on nine known(50 genes)chromosomes and one unknown(6 genes)*** analysis revealed the detailed characteristics of PtPZiPs,including their amino acid length,isoelectric point(pi),molecular weight(MW),predicted subcellular localization,gene structure,and conserved *** of promoter elements suggested the presence of drought,low-temperature,wound,and defense and stress responsive elements,as well as multiple hormone-responsive cis-acting *** expression analysis showed the transcriptional patterns of PtbZiPs in different tissues and under dehydration,high salt,ABA,and iAA *** addition,21 PtbZiPs were predicted to have direct or indirect protein—protein *** these,PtbZiP49 was experimentally proven to interact with PtbZiP1 or PtbZiP11 by using a yeast two-hybrid assay and bimolecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC).Subcellular localization analysis further revealed that PtbZiP1,PtbZiP11,and PtbZiP49 were localized in the ***,PtbZiP49 was functionally identified as having an important role in salt stress via ectopic expression in *** and silenced in trifoliate orange using virus-induced gene silencing(ViGS).This study provided comprehensive information on PtbZiP transcription factors in citrus and highlights their potential functions in abiotic stress.

Constructal design of printed circuit recuperator for S-CO_(2)cycle via multi-objective optimization algorithm

Based on a constructal theory,the structure design of a printed circuit recuperator with a semicircular heat transfer channel for supercritical CO_(2)cycle is carried ***,a complex function composed of weighted sum of the reciprocal of total heat transfer rate and total pumping power consumption is regarded as an optimization objective,and total volumes of the recuperator and heat transfer channel are regarded as *** optimal heat transfer channel radius and minimum complex function of the recuperator are *** turns out that heat transfer rate,pumping power consumption,and complex function under the optimal construct of recuperator are reduced by 15.10%,82.44%,and 32.33%,*** exists the optimal single plate channel number which results in the double minimum complex ***,for the purpose of minimizing the reciprocal of heat transfer rate and pumping power consumption,NSGA-ii algorithm is used to achieve multi-objective optimization,and the minimum deviation index derived by the decision-making methods is 0.076,which can be taken as multi-objective optimal design scheme for printed circuit recuperator with semicircular heat transfer *** findings presented here can serve as theoretical recommendations for the structure design of printed circuit recuperator.

A survey of decision making in adversarial games

in many practical applications, such as poker, chess, drug interdiction, cybersecurity, and national defense, players often have adversarial stances, i.e., the selfish actions of each player inevitably or intentionally inflict loss or wreak havoc on other players. Therefore, adversarial games are important in realworld applications. However, only special adversarial games, such as Bayesian games, are reviewed in the literature. in this respect, this study aims to provide a systematic survey of three main game models widely employed in adversarial games, i.e., zero-sum normal-form and extensive-form games, Stackelberg(security) games, and zero-sum differential games, from an array of perspectives, including basic knowledge of game models,(approximate) equilibrium concepts, problem classifications, research frontiers,(approximate) optimal strategy-seeking techniques, prevailing algorithms, and practical applications. Finally, promising future research directions are also discussed for relevant adversarial games.

Preparation and characterization of Rb-doped TiO_(2) powders for photocatalytic applications

TiO_(2)nanoparticles doped with different concentrations of Rb were prepared by sol–gel *** crystal structures of samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).it was confirmed by the Rietveld refinement method that the as-prepared samples crystallize in anatase phase and Rb doping induces expansion and distortion of the crystal *** with the pure TiO_(2),the Rb-doped nanoparticles have smaller crystal size and better *** rate of methylene blue was used to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of Rb–TiO_(2).it indicated that doping Rb into TiO_(2)can effectively improve the photocatalytic activity of TiO_(2)and the mechanisms were discussed in *** using the sample doped with 0.20%Rb,methylene blue degraded with the fastest rate(97%within 60 min).

The behaviors of gas-liquid two-phase flow under gas kick during horizontal drilling with oil-based muds

Natural gas is easily soluble in oil-based muds(OBM), leading to complex flow behavior in wellbores,especially in horizontal wells. in this study, a new transient flow model considering wellbore-formation coupling and gas solubility on flow behavior is developed to simulate gas kicks during horizontal drilling with OBM. Furthermore, the effect of gas solubility on parameters such as bottom-hole pressure(BHP),gas void fraction and mixture velocity in the flow behavior is analyzed. Finally, several critical factors affecting flow behavior are investigated and compared to gas kicks in water-based muds(WBM) where the effect of solubility is neglected. The results show that the invading gas exists as dissolved gas in the OBM and as free gas in the WBM. Before the gas escapes from the OBM, the pit gain is zero and there is barely any change in the BHP, annulus return flow rate and mixture velocity, which means that detecting gas kicks through these warning signs can be challenging until they get very close to the surface and develop rapidly. However, in WBM drilling, these parameters change quickly with the increasing gas kick time. Additionally, for both cases, the longer the horizontal length and the greater reservoir permeability,the greater the decrease in BHP, and the shorter the time for gas to migrate from the bottom-hole to the wellhead. A larger flow rate contributes to a greater initial BHP and a lesser BHP reduction. This research is of value in characterizing gas kick behavior and identifying novel ways for early gas kick detection during horizontal drilling with OBM.

A novel matrix topology-based analysis method of thermal circuits for reliability optimization of HSER

Hermetically Sealed Electromagnetic Relay(HSER), used in aviation and aerospace,demands high reliability due to its critical applications. Given its complex operating conditions, efficient thermal analysis is essential for optimizing reliability. The commonly used Finite Element Method(FEM) is often time-consuming and may not be efficient or adaptable for complex multi-dimensional system calculations and design processes. This paper introduces an analysis method for thermal networks based on matrix perspective technology, encompassing matrix transformation, backpropagation of the heat path model, temperature rise calculation, solution comparison, and product implementation. Using the similarity theory of heat circuits, a basic thermal unit is established. Based on the fundamental connection between key components, a thermal network for a typical HSER is designed. An experimental system is set up, and the thermal network model's accuracy is confirmed using test data. Employing the topology analysis method, the topology of the thermal network is analyzed under both coil-energized and de-energized states. Potential thermal paths are identified, leading to optimized solutions for the HSER. Utilizing these solutions, the thermal path matrix topology model is backpropagated to the thermal path for temperature rise calculations. When compared to prototype HSER test data, the efficiency and accuracy of this matrix topology-based analysis method are confirmed.

Synthesis of boron nitride nanorod and its performance as a metalfree catalyst for oxidative desulfurization of diesel fuel

in order to reduce the sulfur compounds in diesel fuel,boron nitride(BN)has been used as a novel metal-free catalyst in the present *** nanocatalyst was synthesized via template-free approach followed by heating treatment at 900℃ in nitrogen atmosphere that the characteristics of the sample were identified by the X-ray diffraction,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,field emission scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,atomic force microscopy,and N2 adsorption-desorption *** results of structural and morphological analysis represented that BN has been successfully *** efficacy of the main operating parameters on the process was studied by using response surface methodology based on the Box-Behnken design *** prepared catalyst showed high efficiency in oxidative desulfurization of diesel fuel with initial sulfur content of 8040 mg·kg^(-1)*** statistical analysis,a significant quadratic model was obtained to predict the sulfur removal as a function of efficient *** maximum efficiency of 72.4%was achieved under optimized conditions at oxidant/sulfur molar ratio of 10.2,temperature of 71℃,reaction time of 113 min,and catalyst dosage of 0.36 ***,the reusability of the BN was studied,and the result showed little reduction in activity of the catalyst after 10 times ***,a plausible mechanism was proposed for oxidation of sulfur compounds on the surface of the *** present study shows that BN materials can be selected as promising metal-free catalysts for desulfurization process.

A compact route for efficient production of high-purity β-Ga2O3 powder

The present study has proposed a compact process for the production of high-purity β-Ga2O3powder by simply using gallium metal and water as the raw materials. The process basically consists of two essential steps including hydrothermal synthesis of Ga OOH and calcination of Ga OOH for the production of the target product of β-Ga2O3. Thermodynamic evaluation and systematic experiments were conducted for process parameter optimization. X-ray diffractometer（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, thermogravimetryDdifferential scanning calorimetry（TG-DSC） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） were utilized to clarify the reaction mechanisms of the hydrothermal synthesis and transformation of Ga OOH to β-Ga2O3by calcination. Chemical analysis of the final product of β-Ga2O3obtained under the optimal conditions was carried out with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry（iCP-MS）, and the results showed that the contents of the representative impurities such as Ni, Cu, in, Mn, Co, Zn and Cr are obviously lower than the requirement of 5N β-Ga2O3standard, exhibiting excellent application prospect of the proposed process to produce high-purity β-Ga2O3.
