On the basis of a molecular mechanics model, an analytical solution of the radial breathing mode （RBM） frequency of single-walled carbon nanotubes （SWCNTs） is obtained. The effects of tube chirality and tube diameter on the RBM frequency are investigated and good agreement between the present results and existing data is found. The present analytical formula indicates that the chirality and size dependent elastic properties are responsible for the effects of the chirality and small size on the RBM frequency of an SWCNT.

In the world, most of the successes are results of longterm efforts. The reward of success is extremely high, but before that, a long-term investment process is required. People who are “myopic” only value short-term rewards and are unwilling to make early-stage investments, so they hardly get the ultimate success and the corresponding high rewards. Similarly, for a reinforcement learning(RL) model with long-delay rewards, the discount rate determines the strength of agent’s “farsightedness”.In order to enable the trained agent to make a chain of correct choices and succeed finally, the feasible region of the discount rate is obtained through mathematical derivation in this paper firstly. It satisfies the “farsightedness” requirement of agent. Afterwards, in order to avoid the complicated problem of solving implicit equations in the process of choosing feasible solutions,a simple method is explored and verified by theoreti cal demonstration and mathematical experiments. Then, a series of RL experiments are designed and implemented to verify the validity of theory. Finally, the model is extended from the finite process to the infinite process. The validity of the extended model is verified by theories and experiments. The whole research not only reveals the significance of the discount rate, but also provides a theoretical basis as well as a practical method for the choice of discount rate in future researches.

Phylogeny of Brucella abortus strains isolated in the Russian Federation

Objective: To study Brucella(B.) abortus strains isolated in the Russian Federation, in order to identify their detailed position in the phylogenetic structure of the species global population as well as to determine genetic relationships for isolates from different geographical ***: Based on Bayesian method, the whole genome singlenucleotide polymorphism(SNP) analysis of 258 B. abortus strains from different geographical areas of the world including 20 B. abortus strains isolated in Russia was carried out. Results: The core genome SNP analysis of the B. abortus isolates allowed describing the main genetic lineages. The Russian strains entered two separate clades, including the basal branch and the C1 branch that is widely spread in Eurasia. The data on the isolation time was used for the dating of phylogenetic tree, and also the estimated time frame for the B. abortus genotype diversification was determined. There were sets of specific SNPs identified, which defined each of the genotypes and ***: A significant genetic diversity of the brucellosis pathogen strains from Russia has been proven. The sets of unique specific SNPs described in our study may become one of the elements within a bio-informational analysis algorithm to be used for epidemiological study of brucellosis outbreaks, including those caused by new(atypical) genetic variants of B. abortus.

Paeoniflorin-6’-O-benzene sulfonate(CP-25)is a novel compound derived from paeoniflorin that has been demonstrated to have therapeutic effects in a rat model of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).However,the underlying mechanism has not been elucidated to *** explored this mechanism in the present study by treating rats with adjuvant arthritis(AA)with *** found that the membrane EP4 protein level was downregulated;whereas,GRK2 was upregulated,in fibroblast-like synoviocyte(FLS)s of AA ***(PGE)2 stimulated FLS proliferation and enhanced the membrane EP4 receptor protein level;the latter was reversed by the administration of an EP4 receptor agonist,whereas the membrane GRK2 protein level gradually *** changes in the EP4 receptor and GRK2 expression were enhanced by TNF-α,and the former was accompanied by an alteration in the cyclic(c)AMP *** EP4 receptor agonist stimulation increased the association between GRK2 and the EP4 ***2 knockdown abrogated the abnormalities in FLS *** CP-25 treatment(100 mg/kg)suppressed joint inflammation with an efficacy that was similar to that of *** finding was associated with EP4 upregulation and GRK2 downregulation in ***,GRK2 plays an important role in the abnormal FLS proliferation observed in AA possibly by promoting EP4 receptor desensitization and decreasing the cAMP *** results demonstrate that CP-25 has therapeutic potential for the treatment of human RA via GRK2 regulation.

A Bam HI cleaved 3.2 Kb fragment from the HBV adr genome was cloned in E. coli, using pBR322 as vector. sixteen restriction sites from the action of Bam HI, Hind Ⅲ, Bgl Ⅰ, Bgl Ⅱ, Ava Ⅰ, Hinc Ⅱ, Sph Ⅰ, Xba Ⅰ, Xho Ⅰ and Sst Ⅱ were determined and mapped. No cleavage sites were found for Eco RI, Pst Ⅰ, Sma Ⅰ, Hpa Ⅰ, Kpn Ⅰ, Pvu Ⅱ and Sst Ⅰ.The restriction map for HBV adr is significantly different from those reported for the subtypes adw, ayw and adyw.
