BACKGROUND To summarize the imaging,morphological and biological characteristics of sarcomatoid carcinoma(SC)of the prostate with bladder invasion not long after *** SUMMARY Our two cases were initially diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the prostate due to ***,prostate SC was diagnosed after transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)and castration after only 5 and 10 mo,*** liver-like tissues appeared in the second TURP procedure in case 1,while a white,fish flesh-like,narrow pedicled soft globe protruded from the prostate to the bladder in case *** The sarcomatoid component of SC may arise from one of the specific groups of cancer cells that are resistant to hormonal *** characteristics of SCs can present as“red hepatization”and“fish flesh”.SCs grow rapidly and have a poor prognosis,and thus,extensive TURP plus radiation may be the treatment of choice.

[Objectives]The demand for ponies has been increasing in recent years,but the stock of Debao ponies is far from enough to supply market *** this context,this paper aims to achieve the purpose of conservation,purification and rejuvenation.[Methods]Under the conditions of same age,semen collection frequency,season,feeding environment,feed nutrition level,etc.,the semen of Debao pony and American pearl pony were collected,respectively,and the quality of the semen collected was analyzed.[Results]There was no significant difference in semen volume between the two breeds of ponies;the sperm vitality of the firstly-collected semen of ponies of which the semen has not been collected for a long time was *** semen quality of American pearl pony was slightly better than that of Debao pony.[Conclusions]When the semen quality of American pearl pony is stable,it can be used for cross-breeding with the Debao pony mare,highlighting the hybrid vigor of the two breeds,thereby achieving the purpose of reducing the size of ponies.

Taro(Colocasia esculenta(L.)Schott)is an important crop in Africa,Southeast Asia,and subtropics and is used as a food and *** purple color pigmentation is an appealing character in *** sampled taro corms of the cultivar‘Lipu Taro’at four developmental stages,including LPYS1(without purple pigment,50 days of development(DOD)),LPYS2(very few purple pigments,75 DOD),LPYS3(moderate purple pigments,115 DOD)and LPYS4(high purple pigments,205 DOD).The purpose of our study was to identify the key genes underpinning the purple pigmentation in taro based on *** RNA-Seq,6453 differentially expressed transcripts(DETs)were identified between purple and non-purple pigmented *** identified 41 and 12 flavonoid and anthocyanin related DETs transcripts,*** DETs were upregulated at LPYS2,LPYS3,and LPYS4 as compared to LPYS1,indicating their positive contribution to the color formation in ***,we identified several DETs encoding for transcription factors,including MYB and bHLH,known to be major regulators of structural genes involved in the flavonoid-anthocyanin ***,we reported several plant hormones(ethylene,auxin,gibberellin,jasmonic acid,and cytokinin)related DETs,which are predicted to play important roles in the corm *** regulation of transcripts representing the flavonoid-anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway,plant hormone transduction pathway,and transcription factors may have key roles in purple pigmentation in *** findings will facilitate future research on improving the quality and appeal of taro.

In the present study, we report the six type specimens and two paratypes of eight lizard species in the Herpetological Museum of the Chengdu institute of Biology（CIB）, Chinese Academy of Sciences（CAS）. Each entry provides the information of the original description, the catalog number of the holotype, sex, type locality, and information of allotype and paratype（if any）, number and distribution of deposited specimens, and comments. Additionally, two invalid species and one invalid subspecies are discussed.

AIM： To compare the optical quality after implantation of implantable collamer lens（ICL） and wavefront-guided laser in situ keratomileusis（WG-LASIK）.METHODS： The study included 40 eyes of 22 patients with myopia who accepted ICL implantation and 40 eyes of 20 patients with myopia who received WG-LASIK. Before surgery and three months after surgery, the objective scattering index（OSI）, the values of modulation transfer function（MTF） cutoff frequency, Strehl ratio, and the Optical Quality Analysis System（OQAS） values（OVs） were accessed. The higher order aberrations（HOAs） data including coma, trefoil, spherical, 2^（nd） astigmatism and tetrafoil were also obtained. For patients with pupil size 〈6 mm, HOAs data were analyzed for 4 mm-pupil diameter. For patients with pupil size ≥6 mm, HOAs data were calculated for 6 mm-pupil diameter. Visual acuity, refraction, pupil size and intraocular pressures were also ***： In both ICL and WG-LASIK group, significant improvements in visual acuities were found postoperatively, with a significant reduction in spherical equivalent（P〈 0.001）. After the ICL implantation, the OSI decreasedslightly from 2.34±1.92 to 2.24±1.18 with no statistical significance（P=0.62）. While in WG-LASIK group, the OSI significantly increased from 0.68±0.43 preoperatively to 0.91±0.53 postoperatively（Wilcoxon signed ranks test, P=0.000）. None of the mean MTF cutoff frequency, Strehl ratio, OVs showed statistically significant changes in both ICL and WG-LASIK groups. In the ICL group, there were no statistical differences in the total HOAs for either 4 mmpupil or 6 mm-pupil. In the WG-LASIK group, the HOA parameters increased significantly at 4 mm-pupil. The total ocular HOAs, coma, spherical and 2^（nd） astigmatism were 0.12±0.06, 0.06±0.03, 0.00±0.03, 0.02±0.01, respectively.
