In this paper,the co.bined k-out-of-n:G model and reliability block diagram model is used to analyze the reliability of a switched reluctance starter/generator ***,the different operational modes of a switched reluctance motor starter/generator are analyzed,and the fault states of the system are briefly *** the fault criteria of the system in different operational states are put ***,a relia-bility block diagram model is established to calculate the system-level reliability,and the k-out-of-n:G model is adopted to analyze the reliability of each part of the switched reluctance starter/generator *** verify effectiveness,the first-order Markov model is also used to analyze the reliability of each part of the switched reluc-tance starter/generator *** the co.pu-tational co.plexity and accuracy of the system,the k-out-of-n:G model is more suitable for system co.ponent level reliability ***,a 6/4 switched reluctance motor is used as the simulated and experimental platform *** final results verify the effectiveness of the reliability analysis model.

Large eddy simulation of cavitating flows with dynamic adaptive mesh refinement using OpenFOAM

Cavitating flows are dominated by large gradients of physical properties and quantities co.taining co.plicated interfacial structures and lots of multi-scale eddies that need to be accurately characterized using a high-resolution *** present work,within OpenFOAM,proposes an effective modeling framework using the large eddy simulation(LES)approach along with the volume of fluid(VOF)method to simulate the two-phase flow system and applies the Schnerr-Sauer model to calculate the mass-transfer rate between water and *** adaptive mesh refinement(AMR)which is a powerful tool for allocating high-resolution grids only to the region of the greatest co.cern is adopted for improving the solution of interfacial *** effect of grid size is firstly investigated and the time-averaged quantities are verified against the experimental data,and then simulations of cavitating flows are successfully achieved to precisely characterize the features of cavitation with automatically and dynamically refining the *** the refinement only takes place in the interfacial region,high-precision simulations can be achieved with limited co.putational resources,and the method shows promising prospects for modeling of the multi-scale,time-critical and co.putationally intensive cavitating flows.

Recent advances of graphene-based materials for high-performance and new-co.cept supercapacitors

Supercapacitors, with ultrahigh power density, superior rate capability, long-term cyclability, and exceptional safety, are regarded as one highly co.petitive candidate of electrochemical energy storage devices,filling the gap between batteries and co.ventional capacitors. Despite of tremendous effort, elaborated screening of high-performance electrode materials, e.g., graphene, is still intensively required. In this review, we describe the most recent progress in the research and development of graphene-based materials for high-performance and new-co.cept supercapacitors for the targeted applications in next-generation and smart electronics. First, the design and fabrication of high-performance supercapacitors, including electrical double layer capacitors, pseudocapacitors and hybrid supercapacitors, were summarized in term of the charge storage mechanism. Seco.d, new-co.cept supercapacitors with multiple functionalities of high-voltage, fiber-shape, microscale and shape-diversity in order to fulfill the requirements of future electronics are reviewed. Acco.dingly, special emphasis is given to the structure-dependent-performance effects of pores, hybridization, dimensionalities of graphene-based materials on performance of supercapacitors, and tremendous potential of graphene-based planar micro-supercapacitors for the direct seamlessly integration with versatile micro-electronics. Finally, perspectives and challenges of graphene-based supercapacitors are briefly discussed.
