OBJECTIVE: To establish a standardized framework encompassing the precise locations, manipulations,functions and indications of specific acupoints in the field of paediatric Tuina. METHODS: The development of consensus involved three distinct stages. Initially, a list of paediatric Tuina specific acupoints was compiled based on an extensive literature review, which was subsequently supplemented through expert interviews. In the second stage, the Delphi method was employed to assess the significance of acupoint locations, manipulations, functions, and indications. In situations where the questionnaire survey failed to yield agreement or when the experts held reservations, the nominal group approach was utilized during the expert consensus meeting. The final version of the technical standardized material was ultimately determined during an expert consensus conference. After undergoing external peer review and evaluation, the completed draft was prepared for public dissemination RESULTS: The comprehensive list identified a total of 66 specific acupoints. The location and manipulation questionnaire consisted of 156 items based on the literature database, while the function and indication questionnaire contained 116 items. Two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted for the location and manipulation category, and another two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted for the function and indication category. During the experts consensus meeting The panel of experts conducted in-depth discussions on 61 questions, resulting in the formulation of technical guidelines for the locations, manipulations, functions, and indications of 64 paediatric Tuina acupoints. Subsequently, the research team compiled and edited the draft of the technical guidelines for acupoints of paediatric Tuina, which was finalized after external review and feedback. Bone metastasis,a life-threatening complication of advanced breast cancer,is often accompanied by debilitating pain(cancer-induced bone pain,CIBP)that severely impairs life quality and *** concurrent treatment of bone metastases and CIBP remains a clinical challenge because the therapeutic options are *** this study,we construct a near-infrared light-activated nano-therapeutic system to meet this *** detail,sorafenib(SRF)and photosensitizer(chlorin e6,Ce6)are encapsulated into mesoporous hydroxyapatite nanoparticles(HANPs),which are further functionalized with hyaluronic acid(HA)to obtain HA-SRF/Ce6@HANPs *** designed nanoplatform destroys tumor cells in vitro and in vivo via the synergism of SRF(interrupting the exchange of cystine/glutamate by inhibiting SLC7A11)and photodynamic therapy(PDT,inducing reactive oxygen species generation).The decrease in tumor burden and reduction of extracellular glutamate significantly attenuate CIBP in mice model with developing bone ***,the combination of HA-SRF/Ce6@HANPs and PDT inhibit osteoclasts activation,promote osteoblast differentiation and accelerate bone ***,the nanoagent with good biocompatibility may provide an effective therapy method for the concurrent treatment of breast cancer bone metastasis and CIBP.

Laser speckle contrast imaging to predict the effect of temporary spinal cord stimulation in postherpetic neuralgia patients: A prospective observational study

Temporary spinal cord stimulation(tSCS)can effectively reduce the pain and severity of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).However,there are no effective and objective methods for predicting the effects of tSCS on *** speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)is frequently used in neurology to evaluate the effectiveness of *** assess the accuracy of LSCI in predicting the impact of tSCS on PHN,14 adult patients receiving tSCS treatments for spinal nerve-innervated(C6-T2)PHN participated in this observational *** analog scale(VAS)assessments and LSCI bloodflow images of the-ngers were recorded after the tSCS *** results showed that the VAS scores of all patients decreased ***,the bloodflow index(BFI)values were signi-cantly higher than they were before the *** bloodflow and pain alleviation were positively ***-ndings indicated that spinal nerve PHN(C6-T2)was signi-cantly reduced by *** alleviation by tSCS was positively correlated with increased bloodflow in the *** effect of tSCS on PHN may thus be predicted using an independent and consistent indicator such as LSCI.

Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide,with percutaneous coronary interventions(PCI)using drug-eluting stents(DES)as the standard treatment for coronary artery *** advancements in DES technology,challenges such as restenosis and stent thrombosis still necessitate further interventions and carry considerable risks,highlighting an urgent need for a novel therapeutic approach with lower restenosis rates and reduced reintervention *** balloons(DEBs)coated with anti-proliferative agents offer a novel method of local drug delivery for reducing restenosis by directly administering drugs to the lesion ***,efficient delivery of drugs within the brief procedural window while minimizing drug loss during maneuvering to the target site remains a ***,we developed a pressure-responsive and pH-triggered,paclitaxel(PTX)coated DEB catheter for rapid and high-dose delivery of paclitaxel to the lesion sites,overcoming the limitations of drug dispersion and inefficiencies associated with conventional *** the charge reversion of albumin around its isoelectric point,paclitaxel-loaded human serum albumin nanoparticles(PTX-HSA-NPs)and heparin were coated using a layer-by-layer deposition method at pH *** exposure to physiological pH(i.e.,7.4),the coating is rapidly released from the balloon *** with a protective shellac coating,the DEB achieved controlled release of high-dose paclitaxel to the arterial tissue in vivo(up to 400μg per gram tissue),exceeding current DEBs in the *** results suggest the pH-responsive,multi-layer coated DEB’s potential for superior procedural outcomes,addressing a critical unmet need in PCI.

Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder accompanied by movement disorders and neuroinflammatory ***-inflammatory intervention to regulate oxidative stress in the brain is beneficial for managing ***,traditional natural antioxidants have failed to meet the clinical treatment demands due to insufficient activity and ***,Cu-doping zeolite imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)nanozyme is designed to simulate Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase(SOD)by biomimetic *** nanozyme composite is then integrated into thermosensitive hydrogel(poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA-PEG-PLGA))to form an effective antioxidant system(Cu-ZIF@Hydrogel).The thermosensitive hydrogel incorporating nanozymes demonstrate distinct viscoelastic properties aimed at enhancing local nanozyme adhesion,prolonging nanozyme retention time,and modulating antioxidant activity,thus significantly improving the bioavailability of *** the cellular and animal levels of PD,we find that Cu-ZIF@Hydrogel bypass the blood-brain barrier and efficiently accumulate in the nerve ***,the Cu-ZIF@Hydrogel significantly alleviate the PD’s behavioral and pathological symptoms by reducing the neuroinflammatory levels in the lesion ***,the hydrogel-incorporating nanozyme system holds great potential as a simple and reliable avenue for managing PD.
