Photocatalytic oxygen reduction for hydrogen peroxide （H2O2） synthesis presents a green and costeffective production ***,achieving highly selective H2O2synthesis remains challenging,necessitating precise control over free radical reaction pathways and minimizing undesirable oxidative ***,we report for the visible light-driven simultaneous co-photocatalytic reduction of O2to H2O2and oxidation of biomass using the atomic rubidium-nitride modified carbon nitride（CNRb）.The optimized CNRb catalyst demonstrates a record photoreduction rate of 8.01 mM h-1for H2O2generation and photooxidation rate of 3.75 mM h-1for furfuryl alcohol to furoic acid,achieving a remarkable solar-to-chemical conversion （SCC） efficiency of up to 2.27%.Experimental characterizations and DFT calculation disclosed that the introducing atomic Rb–N configurations allows for the high-selective generation of superoxide radicals while suppressing hydroxyl free radical *** is because the Rb–N serves as the new alternative site to perceive a stronger connection position for O2adsorption and reinforce the capability to extract protons,thereby triggering a high selective redox product *** study holds great potential in precisely regulating reactive radical processes at the atomic level,thereby paving the way for efficient synthesis of H2O2coupled with biomass valorization.

Objective To verify the optimal cut-off points for overweight and obesity in Chinese adults based on the relationship of baseline body mass index (BMI) to all-cause mortality, and incidence of cardiovascular diseases from pooled data of Chinese cohorts. Methods The prospective study data of existing cohort studies in China were collected, and the age-adjusted all-cause mortality stratified by BMI were estimated. The similar analysis was repeated after excluding deaths within the first three years of follow-up and after excluding smokers. The incidence of age-adjusted coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke stratified by BMI were also analyzed. Multiple Cox regression coefficients of BMI for the incidence of CHD and stroke after controlling other risk factors were pooled utilizing the methods of weighting by inverse of variance to reveal whether BMI had independent effect and its strength on the incidence of CHD and stroke. Results The data of 4 cohorts including 76 227 persons, with 745 346 person-years of follow-up were collected and analyzed. The age-adjusted all-cause mortality stratified by BMI showed a U-shaped curve, even after excluding deaths within the first three years of follow-up and excluding smokers. Age-adjusted all-cause mortality increased when BMI was lower than 18.5 and higher than 28. The incidence of CHD and stroke, especially ishemic stroke increased with increasing BMI, this was consistent with parallel increasing of risk factors. Cox regression analysis showed that BMI was an independent risk factor for both CHD and stroke. Each amount of 2 kg/m2 increase in baseline BMI might cause 15.4%, 6.1% and 18.8 % increase in relative risk of CHD, total stroke and ischemic stroke. Reduction of BMI to under 24 might prevent the incidence of CHD by 11% and that of stroke by 15 % for men, and 22 % of both diseases for women. Objective For prevention of obesity in Chinese population, it is necessary to definethe optimal range of healthy weight and the appropriate cut-off points of BMI and waistcircumference for Chinese adults. The Working group on Obesity in China under the supportof International Life Sciences Institute Focal Point in China organized a meta-analysis on therelation between BMI, waist circumference and risk factors of related chronic diseases (e. g.,high diabetes, diabetes mellitus, and lipoprotein disorders). Methods 13 population studiesin all met the criteria for enrollment, with data of 239 972 adults (20-70 year) surveyed inthe 1990s. Data on waist circumference was available for 111411 persons and data on serumlipids and glucose were available for more than 80 000. The study populations located in21provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China's Mainland as well as inTaiwan. Each enrolled study provided data according to a common protocol and uniformformat. The Center for data management in Department of Epidemiology, Fu Wai Hospitalwas responsible for statistical analysis. Results and conclusion The prevalence ofhypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and clustering of risk factors all increased withincreasing levels of BMI or waist circumference. BMI at 24 with best sensitivity andspecificity for identification of the risk factors, was recommended as the cut-off point foroverweight, BMI at 28 which may identify the risk factors with specificity around 90 % wasrecommended as the cut-off point for obesity. Waist circumference beyond 85 cm for menand beyond 80 cm for women were recommended as the cut-off points for central *** of population attributable risk percent illustrated that reducing BMI to normalrange (<24) could prevent 45%-50% clustering of risk factors. By metalloscopy,scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,electron probe,salt water erosion and hot steam erosion,the microstructures and the aging resistance of zinc alloy ZA-27 with different contents of yttrium were studied. The results show that with optimum addition of yttrium in the alloy ZA-27 the fine YAl_3 phase forms. The fine YAl_3 granules can act as the condensation nuclei of α phase and the number of the α phase′s nuclei increases greatly and the growth of the nuclei comes in for restrict during the crystallization and the alloy′s grains become fine and the segregation reduces. In addition,yttrium also combines with zinc and the fine dispersion Y-Zn phase forms which improves grain boundary conditions and the alloy′s aging resistance. But when the content of yttrium is overmuch some YAl_3 granules grow to be lumpy,so the fine and close texture of the alloy′s boundaries is damaged and the proportion of the interface among the phases increase which brings a decline in the alloy′s resistance to corrosion.

An iron film percolation system is fabricated by vapour-phase deposition on fracture surfaces of α-Al2O3 ceramics. The zero-field-cooled （ZFC） and field-cooled （FC） magnetization measurement reveals that the magnetic phase of the film samples evolve from a high-temperature ferromagnetic state to a low-temperature spin-glass-like state, which is also demonstrated by the temperature-dependent ac susceptibility of the iron films. The temperature dependence of the exchange bias field He of the iron film exhibits a minimum peak around the temperature T=5 K, which is independent of the magnitude of the cooling field Hcf. However, for T 〉 10K, （1） He is always negative when Hcf=2kOe and （2） for Hcf= 20 kOe （1Oe≈80 A/m）, He changes from negative to positive values as T increases. Our experimental results show that the anomalous hysteresis properties mainly result from the oxide surfaces of the films with spin-glass-like phase.

Ce x Ti 1- x O 2 mixed oxides of different mole ratios ( x =0, 0.1, 0.2～0.9, 1.0) were prepared by co precipitation of TiCl 4 with Ce(NO 3) 3 and then loaded with different amounts of CuO. The effects of CuO on NO+CO reaction were investigated, and the structure and reductive properties of various CuO/Ce x Ti 1- x O 2 were characterized by the methodologies of BET, TPR and XRD. The results show that different Ce/Ti mole ratios and calcination temperatures induce changes of structure and reductive properties of the Ce x Ti 1- x O 2 mixed oxides. When x =0.1～0.5, amorphous CeTi 2O 6 phase mainly forms at 650 ℃ compared to the formation of CeTi 2O 6 which crystallizes at 800 ℃. When x >0.6, some TiO 2 enters the CeO 2 lattice and a CeO 2 TiO 2 solid solution is formed. The activity of 6%CuO/Ce x Ti 1- x O 2 calcined at 650 ℃ is largely affected by the x values, which is the highest when x =0.3, 0.4 and 0.9. The NO conversion reaches 70% at a reaction temperature of 150 ℃. By comparison, the x values have little effect on the activity of 6%CuO/Ce x Ti 1- x O 2 calcined at 800 ℃ . There are strong interactions between CuO and CeTi 2O 6, i.e., formation of the CeTi 2O 6 phase shifts the CuO reduction peak temperature from 380 to 200 ℃, and CuO, in turn, shifts the CeTi 2O 6 reduction peak temperature from 600 to 300 ℃.

The oxidative properties and characterization of CuO, CeO 2 and CuO/CeO 2 cata lysts were examined by means of a CO micro-reactor GC system, TPR, XPS and X-r ay diffraction Rietveld methods. The results show that either CuO or CeO 2 ac tivity is quite low for CO oxidation. However, when CuO and CeO 2 are mixed, the oxidative activity of the catalyst increases significantly, probably owing to the valency status of copper species (Cu 2+ and Cu+) on the CeO 2 surfa ce, the dispersion and reducibility. XPS surface analysis shows that CuO loading is very important in forming of either Cu 2+ or Cu+. Rietveld analysis s hows that some CuO, which has smaller ion radius than Ce 4+, enters the Ce O 2 lattice after CuO and CeO 2 are mixed. When the CuO loading reaches 5.0%, the size of CuO crystals is a minimum (6.1 nm) and the micro-strain value i s a maximum (2.86×10 -3), resulting in high surface energy and the best ac tivity for CO oxidation.

A series of soy protein isolate(SPI)films plasticized by glycerol(Gly)were studied using attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR/FTIR).Perturbation-correlation movingwindow two-dimensional(PCMW2D)and two-dimensional correlation(2DCOS)analyses were applied to the amideⅠband and thus the hydrogen bond interaction between SPI and Gly was systematically *** Gly concentrations were in the range 0~35%,the hydrogen bond amongβ-sheets was replaced by the one between SPI chain and Gly molecule,which caused these protein chains being changed toα-***,the transformation ofβ-sheet toα-helix was saturated and both of them tend to change to random coil when Gly concentrations were in the range 35%~60%.

Bacterial endotoxin (a type of lipopolysaccharide,LPS) that acts as the strongest immune stimulant exhibits high toxicity to human *** golden standard detection methods rely heavily on the use of a large amount of tachypleus amebocyte lysate (TAL) reagents,extracted from the unique blue blood of legally protected horseshoe ***,a cost-effective distance-based lateral flow (D-LAF) sensor is demonstrated for the first time based on the coagulation cascade process of TAL induced by endotoxin,which causes the generation of gel-state *** gelation process can increase the amount of trapped water molecules and shorten the lateral flow distance of the remaining free water on the pH *** water flow distance is directly correlated to the concentration of ***,the D-LAF sensor allows the detection of endotoxin with the reduced dosage of TAL reagents than the golden standard detection *** detection limit of endotoxin is calculated to be 0.0742 EU/*** method can be applied to the detection of endotoxin in real samples such as household water and clinical injection solution with excellent performance comparable to the commercial ELISA kit.

The (Et_4N)_2[Fe_4(SPh)_10] stimulated reaction of α-bromonaphthalene with pinacolone carbanion in DMSO leads to the formation of 1-(α-naphthyl)pinacolone. The reaction is suggested in terms of SRN1 mechanism of aromatic nucleophillic substitution and has potential value in synthesis to obtain (-substituted naphthalene derivaties.
