Prediction of blast furnace gas generation based on data quality improvement strategy

The real-time energy flow data obtained in industrial production processes are usually of low *** is difficult to accurately predict the short-term energy flow profile by using these field data,which diminishes the effect of industrial big data and artificial intelligence in industrial energy *** real-time data of blast furnace gas(BFG)generation collected in iron and steel sites are also of low *** order to tackle this problem,a three-stage data quality improvement strategy was proposed to predict the BFG *** the first stage,correlation principle was used to test the sample *** the second stage,the original sample set was rectified and *** the third stage,Kalman filter was employed to eliminate the noise of the updated sample *** method was verified by autoregressive integrated moving average model,back propagation neural network model and long short-term memory *** results show that the prediction model based on the proposed three-stage data quality improvement method performs *** short-term memory model has the best prediction performance,with a mean absolute error of 17.85 m3/min,a mean absolute percentage error of 0.21%,and an R squared of 95.17%.

Point-of-Interest Recommendation in LocationBased Social Networks with Personalized Geo-Social Influence

Point-of-interest(POI) recommendation is a popular topic on location-based social networks(LBSNs).Geographical proximity,known as a unique feature of LBSNs,significantly affects user check-in ***,most of prior studies characterize the geographical influence based on a universal or personalized distribution of geographic distance,leading to unsatisfactory recommendation *** this paper,the personalized geographical influence in a two-dimensional geographical space is modeled using the data field method,and we propose a semi-supervised probabilistic model based on a factor graph model to integrate different factors such as the geographical ***,a distributed learning algorithm is used to scale up our method to large-scale data *** results based on the data sets from Foursquare and Gowalla show that our method outperforms other competing POI recommendation techniques.

Frictional Heat-Induced Phase Transformation on Train Wheel Surface

By combining thermomechanical coupling finite element analysis with the characteristics of phase transformation [continuous cooling transformation （CCT） curve], the thermal fatigue behavior of train wheel steel under high speed and heavy load conditions was analyzed. The influence of different materials on the formation of the phase transformation zone of the wheel tread was discussed. The result showed that the peak temperature of wheel/track friction zone could be higher than the austenitizing temperature for braking. The depth of the austenitized region could reach a point of 0.9 mm beneath the wheel tread surface. The supercooled austenite is transformed to a hard and brittle martensite layer during the following rapid cooling process, which may lead to cracking and then spalling on the wheel tread surface. The decrease in carbon contents of the train wheel steel helps inhibit the formation of martensite by increasing the austenitizing temperature of the train wheel steel. When the carbon contents decrease from 0.7% to 0.4%, the Ac3 of the wheel steel is increased by 45 ℃, and the thickness of the martensite layer is de creased by 30 %, which is helpful in reducing the thermal cycling fatigue of the train wheel tread such as spalling.

Fracture behavior and mechanism of highly fragmented steel cylindrical shell under explosive loading

An in-depth understanding of the fracture behavior and mechanism of metallic shells under internal explosive loading can help develop material designs for warheads and regulate the quantity and mass distribution of the fragments *** study investigated the fragmentation performance of a new high-carbon silicon-manganese(HCSiMn)steel cylindrical shell through fragment recovery *** with the conventional 45Cr steel shell,the number of small mass fragments produced by the HCSi Mn steel shell was significantly increased with a scale parameter of 0.57 g fitted by the Weibull distribution *** fragmentation process of the HCSi Mn shell exhibited more brittle tensile fracture characteristics,with the microcrack damage zone on the outer surface being the direct cause of its high *** the one hand,the doping of alloy elements resulted in grain refinement by forming metallographic structure of tempered sorbite,so that microscopic intergranular fracture reduces the characteristic mass of the fragments;on the other hand,the distribution of alloy carbides can exert a"pinning"effect on the substrate grains,causing more initial cracks to form and propagate along the brittle carbides,further improving the shell *** the killing power radius for light armored vehicles was slightly reduced by about 6%,the dense killing radius of HCSiMn steel projectile against personnel can be significantly increased by about 26%based on theoretical *** results provided an experimental basis for high fragmentation warhead design,and to some extent,revealed the correlation mechanism between metallographic structure and shell fragmentation.

Improving the sintering performance of blends containing Canadian specularite concentrate by modifying the binding medium

Canadian specularite concentrate（CSC） possesses high total iron grade and low impurity content. However, due to the poor granulating performance and weak reactivity of CSC at high temperature, the proportion of CSC used in sintering blends is restricted. In this research, the effects of fine limonite, slake lime, and bentonite particles on the granulation performance of blends containing a high ratio of CSC were studied through granulation test. Based on the test results, the effects of modification of the binding medium on the sintering performance of blends containing a high ratio of CSC were revealed by the sintering pot test. Both the granulation property and sintering performance of blends with a high proportion of CSC were improved by modifying the binding medium.

Numerical analysis of carbon saving potential in a top gas recycling oxygen blast furnace

Aiming at the current characteristics of blast furnace （BF） process, carbon saving potential of blast furnace was investigated from the perspective of the relationship between degree of direct reduction and carbon consumption. A new relationship chart between carbon consumption and degree of direct reduction, which can reflect more real situation of blast furnace operation, was established. Further- more, the carbon saving potential of hydrogen-rich oxygen blast furnace （OBF） process was ana- lyzed. Then, the policy implications based on this relationship chart established were suggested. On this basis, the method of improving the carbon saving potential of blast furnace was recycling the top gas with removal of CO2 and H2O or increasing hydrogen in BF gas and full oxygen blast. The results show that the carbon saving potential in traditional blast furnace （TBF） is only 38 56 kg · t ^-1 while that in OBF is 138 kg · t ^-1. Theoretically, the lowest carbon consumpt!on of OBF is 261 kg · t ^-1 and the corresponding degree of direct reduction is 0.04. In addition, the theoretical lowest carbon consumption of hydrogen-rich OBF is 257 kg · t ^-1. The modeling analysis can be used to estimate the carbon savings potential in new ironmaking process and its related CO2 emissions.

Mechanical and corrosion properties of 445J2 ultra pure ferritic stainless steel joint

The microstracture, mechanical and corrosion resistance properties of 445J2 ultra pure ferritic stainless steel thin plate joints conducted by the pulsed current gas tungsten arc welding （PCGTAW） were discussed in this paper. In order to avoid weld defects, the appropriate welding process was adjusted. The joints were subjected to optical microscopy, transverse static tensile, plastic deformation, intergranular corrosion and electrochemistry corrosion tests. The results indicated that the weld zone （WZ） is characterized with columnar grains and equiaxed grains and the heat-affected zone （HAZ） shows coarse ferrite grains due to the rapid solidification of thin plate welding. The PCGTAW joint exhibited acceptable mechanical properties and equivalent corrosion resistance properties as the base metal.

Effect of Heat Input on Microstructure and Toughness of Coarse Grain Heat Affected Zone in Nb Microalloyed HSLA steels

The influence of Nb on microstructure, mechanical property and the transformation kinetics of the coarse grain heat affected zone （CGHAZ） in HSLA steels for different heat inputs, has been investigated. When welded at higher heat inputs （100-60 kJ/cm）, impact toughness values of the steel without Nb are much higher than those of the steel with Nb, and the lowest span is 153 J at 60 kJ/cm. But only a little higher values are observed at lower heat inputs （40-30 kJ/cm）, and the highest span is 68 J at 30 kJ/cm. Dilatation studies indicate that continuous cooling transformation starting temperatures （Ts） of CGHAZ for the steel with Nb are approximately 15-30℃ which are lower than those of the steel without Nb at all heat inputs. For higher heat inputs, Nb in solid solution suppresses ferrite transformation and promotes the formation of granular bainite which has detrimental effect on impact toughness. For lower heat inputs higher Charpy impact energy values in the steel with Nb are associated with the formation of low carbon self-tempered martensite.

Discussion on Abnormal Corrosion and Material Selection of Hot Iron Ladles with steel Scrap Addition

The abnormal corrosion of hot iron ladles was *** performance,the composition and the structure of bricks for hot iron ladles were *** results show that(1)compared with the alumina-silicon carbide-carbon bricks for the ladle bottom,those for the ladle wall have more pyrophyllite and the Al2O3 content of 36.32 mass%;their bulk density,apparent porosity and cold compressive strength are lower than the requirement of industry standard;they have poor anti-oxidation performance and are oxidized to form a porous layer during service,which loosens the brick lining structure thus leading to fracture,local wear and structural damage of bricks;(2)without preheating,steel scraps are not completely melted,resulting in slag or steel attachment at the mouth or the bottom of ladles thus increasing damage of ladles;(3)and the residual bricks react with the attached slag to form low melting point phases affecting their hot *** refractories for the lining of hot iron ladles must be improved in combination with process changes,not entirely by raw materials replacement to reduce costs.
