Rationale:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a highly infectious disease due to the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2(SARS-CoV2).Vertical transmission and clinical presentation of COVID-19 in pregnancy is still ***,the potential hazard of COVID-19 in pregnancy on the fetus and post-delivery risk for the neonate remain under *** concern:A young-aged Asian pregnant woman with 28 weeks of gestation presented with fever,dyspnoea,headache,and joint pain with decreased fetal movement for about one ***:The patient was diagnosed with COVID-19 ***:The patient was referred to the quarantine sector and was treated with chloroquine orally,intravenous fluid and other supportive ***:After one week of treatment,the patient *** days after admission to hospital and at 30 weeks of gestation,she started vaginal preterm delivery of a viable healthy neonate with negative COVID-19 test for two ***:COVID-19 pneumonia during pregnancy presents with similar clinical presentation of non-pregnant ***-19 pneumonia during pregnancy increases the risk of preterm labour without evidence of vertical transmission.

Background: Male infertility is a common problem and needs a minimally invasive method to arrive at the appropriate diagnosis. alternative to open testicular biopsy the fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of the testis is being increasingly used?as a minimally invasive method of evaluating testicular function. Aim: To determine the causes of azoospermia and evaluate the efficacy of FNAC as compared to open testicular biopsy in evaluating azoosparmic men by correlating diagnosis from testis FNAC with biopsy histology. Patients and Methods: We prospectively studied 67 consecutive infertile patients who referred to andrology department of al-Yarmouk Teaching hospital, Baghdad, Iraq between (January 2010-January 2014). all patients were azoospermic. They underwent bilateral testicular fine needle aspiration for cytological evaluation as well as bilateral testicular biopsy for histopathological correlation. Results: The morphological diagnosis revealed normal spermatogenesis in 12 patients (17.9%), hyposparmatogenesis in 4 (5.9%), spermatogenic arrest in 39 (58.2%), Sertoli cell only in 7 (10.4%), and complete tubular hyalinization in 5 patients (7.4%). Good correlation between the 2 methods was found in 120 (91.6%) testes which was identical in the right and left testis. Discrepancies between cytology and histology were mainly the result of insufficient and scanty smears. Conclusion: Testicular FNAC is a simple and minimally invasive alternative method to open testicular biopsy in the investigation and assessment of patients with azoospermia.

Water is a strategically limited natural resource, and currently Iraq is in the grip of an extended drought period. It is needed to look for alternative water sources and work towards achieving high level of sustainability. Measurements for gray water samples were carried out including pH, EC (electrical conductivity), TDS (total dissolved solids), TS (total solids), TSS (total suspended solids), DO (dissolved oxygen), BOD5 (biochemical oxygen demand), COD (chemical oxygen demand), alkalinity, chlorides (Cl-), calcium (Ca), sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), lead (Pb), TC (total coliforms), TF (total fecal coliforms), and nitrate (NO3 -). The goals of this study are to estimate quantities of fresh water consumption and gray water generated in typical Baghdadian households, and to investigate gray water quality (physical, chemical and biological). The major results can be summarized as follows: (1) The daily water consumption in Baghdad ranged from 75 Lpcd to 176 Lpcd with an average of 116 Lpcd; (2) the maximum daily consumption in Baghdad ranged from 124 Lpcd to 327 Lpcd with an average of 186 Lpcd; (3) the maximum hourly consumption in Baghdad ranged from 154 Lpcd to 900 Lpcd with an average of 308 Lpcd; (4) gray water generation in Baghdad ranged from 34 Lpcd to 139 Lpcd with an average of 68 Lpcd, and that gray water generated constituted 58% to 72% of total consumption.

Dried anaerobic granular sludge (DAGS) for removing phenol (organic) and lead (inorganic) pollutants from synthetic wastewater was examined in a fixed bed system. A general rate multi-component model has been built to predict the fixed bed breakthrough curves for single and dual-component system. This model considers both external and internal mass transfer resistances as well as axial dispersion with non-liner multi-component isotherm. The equilibrium isotherm model parameters such as isotherm model constants (qm and b), pore diffusion coefficients (Dp) were obtained from batch experiments, while the external mass transfer coefficients and axial dispersion (kf, Dz) were calculated from empirical correlations. The results show that the general rate multi-component model was found suitable for describing the biosorption process of the dynamic behavior of the DAGS adsorber column and that DAGS can be used efficiently to remove organic and inorganic pollutants.

Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) is common to every communication channel. It is statistically random radio noise characterized by a wide frequency range with regards to a signal in communication channels. In this paper, AWGN signal is generated through design an analogue circuit method, and then the multiple recursive method is also used to generate random data signal that is used for testing by Lyapunov exponent. Furthermore an algorithm for software generating of Additive White Gaussian Noise is presented. Lyapunov exponent test for chaos is used to distinguish between regular and chaotic dynamics of the generated data by the two methods. Simulation results are enhanced with the use of Microcontroller chip, since the hardware of the application is implemented by microcontroller-embedded system to obtain computerized noise generator. The results show that the generated AWGN signal by the analogue method and the multiple recursive method is chaotic which implies the random like-noise behavior.

A new difunctional monomer N,N'-[bis(4,4'-hydroxypropyl methacrylate phenyl ester) pyromellitimide] (BHPMEPM), was synthesized by the reaction of the bis(4-carboxyphenyl)-N,N'-pyromelli- timide acid (diacid-diimide), and two molar equivalents of glycidylmethacrylate (GMA). The reaction was carried out by microwave radiation. The presence of difunctional groups, double bond groups, makes the monomer a potential material for obtaining thermosetting product. The curing and thermal stability of the crosslinked products were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. The difunctional monomer and its thermoset polymer were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-FT-NMR and CHN elemental analysis.

Carbamazepine solubility enhancement in tandem with swellable polymer osmotic pump tablet: A promising approach for extended delivery of poorly water-soluble drugs

Elementary osmotic pump(EOP)is a unique extended release(ER)drug delivery system based on the principle of *** has the ability to minimize the amount of the drug,accumulation and fluctuation in drug level during chronic ***(CBZ),a poorly water-soluble antiepileptic drug,has serious side effects on overdoses and chronic *** aim of the present study was to design a new EOP tablet of CBZ containing a solubility enhancers and swellable polymer to reduce its side effects and enhance the patient ***,a combination of solubilizing carriers was selected to improve the dissolution of the slightly soluble ***,designing the new EOP tablet and investigating the effect of different variables of core and coat formulations on drug release behavior by single parameter optimization and by Taguchi orthogonal design with analysis of variance(ANOVA),*** results showed that CBZ solubility was successfully enhanced by a minimum amount of combined polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP K30)and sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS).The plasticizer amount and molecular weight(MW)together with the osmotic agent amount directly affect the release rate whereas the swellable polymer amount and viscosity together with the semi-permeable membrane(SPM)thickness inversely influence the release *** addition,the tendency of following zero order kinetics was mainly affected by the coat components rather than those of the ***,orifice size does not have any significant effect on the release behavior within the range of 0.1 mm to 0.8 *** this study we report the successful formulation of CBZ-EOP tablets,which were similar to the marketed product Tegretol CR 200 and able to satisfy the USP criterion limits and to deliver about 80%of CBZ at a rate of approximately zero order for up to 12 h.

The concept of a fuzzy topology on a fuzzy set has been introduced in [1]. The aim of this work is to introduce fuzzy δ*-continuity and fuzzy δ**-continuity in this in new situation and to show the relationships between fuzzy continuous functions where we confine our study to some of their types such as, fuzzy δ-continuity, fuzzy continuity, after presenting the definition of a fuzzy topology on a fuzzy set and giving some properties related to it.

Experimental Investigation of Environmental Hydraulic Parameters for Dual Mixed Media Biofilter for Greywater Treatment

Laboratory scale model of DMMBF (dual mixed media biofilter) were designed and installed in al-mustansiriya university Environmental Hydraulic Lab. Experiments were conducted using two mixed layers through PVR column-2.2 m height and 300 mm diameter. The first mixed media filter of depth 640mm mixed of sand, rice husk and granular activated carbon. The percentage volume mix is 1:1:1. While the other mixed media of depth 740 mm, consisting of coal, crash porcelinaite, rock and granite with equally percentage volume. Fifty samples were collected during the experiments, which was spread over a period of forty two weeks. The obtained results indicate that when the flow loading raised from 0.15 L/min to 2.7 L/min, the removal efficiency of BOD decreased 8%-11%, and the removal efficiency of COD deceased 3%-4%, while the removal efficiency of turbidity increased with the decreasing of hydraulic loading. The results showed that the removal efficiency of turbidity is more than 95% at the lower discharge (0.15 L/min). Therefore, infiltration should be conservatively designed using low loading rates.
