Internet of Things Enabled DDoS Attack Detection Using Pigeon Inspired Optimization algorithm with Deep Learning Approach

Internet of Things (IoTs) provides better solutions in various fields, namely healthcare, smart transportation, home, etc. Recognizing Denial of Service (DoS) outbreaks in IoT platforms is significant in certifying the accessibility and integrity of IoT systems. Deep learning (DL) models outperform in detecting complex, non-linear relationships, allowing them to effectually severe slight deviations from normal IoT activities that may designate a DoS outbreak. The uninterrupted observation and real-time detection actions of DL participate in accurate and rapid detection, permitting proactive reduction events to be executed, hence securing the IoT network's safety and functionality. Subsequently, this study presents pigeon-inspired optimization with a DL-based attack detection and classification (PIODL-ADC) approach in an IoT environment. The PIODL-ADC approach implements a hyperparameter-tuned DL method for Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack detection in an IoT platform. Initially, the PIODLADC model utilizes Z-score normalization to scale input data into a uniform format. For handling the convolutional and adaptive behaviors of IoT, the PIODL-ADC model employs the pigeon-inspired optimization (PIO) method for feature selection to detect the related features, considerably enhancing the recognition's accuracy. also, the Elman Recurrent Neural Network (ERNN) model is utilized to recognize and classify DDoS attacks. Moreover, reptile search algorithm (RSA) based hyperparameter tuning is employed to improve the precision and robustness of the ERNN method. A series of investigational validations is made to ensure the accomplishment of the PIODL-ADC method. The experimental outcome exhibited that the PIODL-ADC method shows greater accomplishment when related to existing models, with a maximum accuracy of 99.81%.

In medical image segmentation, it is often necessary to collect opinions from multiple experts to make the final decision. This clinical routine helps to mitigate individual bias. However, when data is annotated by multiple experts, standard deep learning models are often not applicable. In this paper, we propose a novel neural network framework called Multi-rater Prism (MrPrism) to learn medical image segmentation from multiple labels. Inspired by iterative half-quadratic optimization, MrPrism combines the task of assigning multi-rater confidences and calibrated segmentation in a recurrent manner. During this process, MrPrism learns inter-observer variability while taking into account the image's semantic properties and finally converges to a self-calibrated segmentation result reflecting inter-observer agreement. Specifically, we propose Converging Prism (ConP) and Diverging Prism (DivP) to iteratively process the two tasks. ConP learns calibrated segmentation based on multi-rater confidence maps estimated by DivP, and DivP generates multi-rater confidence maps based on segmentation masks estimated by ConP. Experimental results show that the two tasks can mutually improve each other through this recurrent process. The final converged segmentation result of MrPrism outperforms state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods for a wide range of medical image segmentation tasks. The objective of this investigation is to assess the effect of obstacles on numerical heat transfer and fluid flow momentum in a rectangular microchannel(MC).Two distinct configurations were studied:one without obstacles and the other with alternating obstacles placed on the upper and lower *** research utilized the thermal lattice Boltzmann method(LBM),which solves the energy and momentum equations of fluids with the BGK approximation,implemented in a Python coding *** jump and slip velocity conditions were utilized in the simulation for the MC and extended to all obstacle *** study aims to analyze the rarefaction effect,with Knudsen numbers(Kn)of 0.012,0.02,and *** outcomes indicate that rarefaction has a significant impact on the velocity and temperature *** presence of nine obstacles led to slower fluid movement inside the microchannel MC,resulting in faster cooling at the *** MCs with obstacles,the rarefaction effect plays a crucial role in decreasing the Nusselt number(Nu)and skin friction coefficient(Cf).Furthermore,the study demonstrated that the obstacles played a crucial role in boosting fluid flow and heat transfer in the *** findings suggest that the examined configurations could have potential applications as cooling technologies in micro-electro-mechanical systems and microdevice applications.

Contaminated surfaces play a significant role in the transmission of respiratory infectious *** address this issue,we pre-sented a novel quantitative detection method for droplets on physical surfaces,based on the laser-induced fluorescence *** proposed detection method was demonstrated in a realistic high-speed train compartment scenario by simulating the process of droplet release during passengers’breathing and *** experimental results showed that this method could offer high precision(10-1 mg/m^(2))for detecting minute substance concentrations,and its ease of operation makes it suitable for complex en-gineering *** results also revealed that under the combined effects of the indoor airflow and breathing airflow,the range of droplets released by breathing activity exceeded two rows in front of and behind the release ***,we observed that a large number of droplets settled on the seat surfaces on both sides of the same row as the releaser,with over 36%of these droplets concentrated on the backrest area of the *** the respiratory jet velocity increased,the location with the most sed-iment droplets(accounting for 8%of the total sedimentation)occurred on the seat directly in front of the releaser,and approximately 48% of the droplets were found on the back of this *** proposed method overcomes the shortcomings of existing experimental methods in quantitatively capturing the motion characteristics of droplets in complex flow fields.

Interfacial stress engineering toward enhancement of ferroelectricity in al doped HfO2 thin films

Ferroelectric HfO2 has attracted much attention owing to its superior ferroelectricity at an ultra-thin thickness and good compatibility with Si-based complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology. However, the crystallization of polar orthorhombic phase (o-phase) HfO2 is less competitive, which greatly limits the ferroelectricity of the as-obtained ferroelectric HfO2 thin films. Fortunately, the crystallization of o-phase HfO2 can be thermodynamically modulated via interfacial stress engineering. In this paper, the growth of improved ferroelectric al doped HfO2 (HfO2:al) thin films on (111)-oriented Si substrate has been reported. Structural analysis has suggested that nonpolar monoclinic HfO2:al grown on (111)-oriented Si substrate suffered from a strong compressive strain, which promoted the crystallization of (111)-oriented o-phase HfO2 in the as-grown HfO2:al thin films. In addition, the in-plane lattice of (111)-oriented Si substrate matches well with that of (111)-oriented o-phase HfO2, which further thermally stabilizes the o-phase HfO2. Accordingly, an improved ferroelectricity with a remnant polarization (2P(r)) of 26.7 mu C/cm(2) has been obtained. The results shown in this work provide a simple way toward the preparation of improved ferroelectric HfO2 thin films.

Thermal stable Pt clusters anchored by K/TiO2-al2O3 for efficient cycloalkane dehydrogenation

Catalytic dehydrogenation of cycloalkanes is considered a valuable endothermic process for alleviating the thermal barrier issue of hypersonic vehicles. However, conventional Pt-based catalysts often face the severe problem of metal sintering under high-temperature conditions. Herein, we develop an efficient K2CO3-modified Pt/TiO2-al2O3 (K-Pt/TA) for cycloalkane dehydrogenation. The optimized K-Pt/TA showed a high specific activity above 27.9 mol center dot mol-1 center dot s-1(H2/Pt), with toluene selectivity above 90.0% at 600 degrees C with a high weight hourly space velocity of 266.4 h-1. The introduction of alkali metal ions could generate titanate layers after high-temperature hydrogen reduction treatment, which promotes the generation of oxygen vacancy defects to anchored Pt clusters. In addition, the titanate layers could weaken the surface acidity of catalysts and inhibit side reactions, including pyrolysis, polymerization, and isomerization reactions. Thus, this work provides a modification method to develop efficient and stable dehydrogenation catalysts under high-temperature conditions. Pressure generation under deformation in a large-volume press

Deformation can change the transition pathway of materials under high pressure, thus significantly affects physical and chemical properties of matters. However, accurate pressure calibration under deformation is challenging and thereby causes relatively large pressure uncertainties in deformation experiments, resulting in the synthesis of complex multiphase materials. Here, pressure generations of three types of deformation assemblies were well calibrated in a Walker-type large-volume press (LVP) by electrical resistance measurements combined with finite element simulations (FESs). Hard al2O3 or diamond pistons in shear and uniaxial deformation assemblies significantly increase the efficiency of pressure generation compared with the conventional quasi-hydrostatic assembly. The uniaxial deformation assembly using flat diamond pistons possesses the highest efficiency in these deformation assemblies. This finding is further confirmed by stress distribution analysis based on FESs. With this deformation assembly, we found shear can effectively promote the transformation of C60 into diamond under high pressure and realized the synthesis of phase-pure diamond at relatively moderate pressure and temperature conditions. The present developed techniques will help improve pressure efficiencies in LVP and explore the new physical and chemical properties of materials under deformation in both science and technology.

Effect of samarium oxide on structural,optical and electrical properties of some alumino-borate glasses with constant copper chloride

The glass system under study was prepared and examined using the melt quenching procedures and XRD to emphasize the amorphous nature,*** of the prepared solid glass system was performed by a spectrophotometer in wavelengths from 190 to 1099 *** traditional techniques and standard formulas,the density,molar volume,refractive index,optical band gap and the optical filter characteristics were determined,then the influence of samarium oxide on some properties like the structure and optical,also the electrical properties were dissected.A novel formula was proposed to estimate the refractive index from the optical energy *** obtained samples are good optical filters especially the sample that contains 0.8 mol% of Sm2 *** this sample has the utmost density,the least molar volume,the maximum transmittance,least refractive index,the highest optical band gap and the least dc conductivity.
