To ensure safe use of genetically modified organisms(GMOs),since 1993,China has made great efforts to establish and improve the safety regulatory system for ***,we summarize and analyze the regulatory framework of agricultural GMOs,and the progress in regulatory approval of GM crops in *** general,the development of GMO safety regulations underwent four stages:exploration(1993–2000),development(2001–2010),improvement(2011–2020)and current(2021-present)*** first formal regulation was promulgated in 1993,which provided a basis for further development of the regulations,during the exploration stage,when insect-resistant GM cotton,expressing genes from Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt),was approved for *** the development stage,the Chinese government issued a series of administrative measures,which covered almost all the fields relative to GMO safety when the basic regulatory system was *** with the controversy over GMO safety,the regulations have been further,and greatly improved,during improvement *** 2021,a few additional revisions have been made,and meanwhile,the new regulation on gene-edited crops was introduced with the development of biotechnology,forming a relative complete regulation and law system for *** well-developed GMO regulations establishes a firm basis for safe use of GM crops in ***,GM cotton and GM papaya have been widely grown on a large scale in China that have brought great economic and ecological *** addition,12 corn events,3 soybean events,and 2 rice events have also obtained biosafety certification,but presently,these lines have yet to enter commercial ***,several GM soybean and corn events have entered pilot industrialization,and can soon be expected to be commercially grown in *** addition to planting,six GM crops,including soybean,corn,cotton,canola,papaya and sugar beet,with a total of 64 events,have been approved for import as processing material in

The dynamic coupling between the fluttering motions and hydrodynamic characteristics of codend is essential in understanding the trawl selectivity through fish response and the drag force acting on the whole *** study investigated the effect of towing speed,warp length,warp tension,and catch size on the fluttering motions of Antarctic krill trawl codend during net shooting,towing,and hauling by using sea trial *** time-periodicity of codend oscillation was analyzed by the Morlet wavelet transform *** indicated that the period of codend oscillation was between 50 s and 90 s and showed an increasing trend with the warp tension but a decreased value at the towing *** coefficient amplitude of codend oscillation was between 0 and 4 at the net shooting and hauling stages,and between 0.2 and 0.6 at the towing *** amplitude of codend oscillation increased with the warp tension,towing speed,and catch size,but decreased with the increase of the warp *** addition,the period of codend oscillation increased with the towing speed at the net shooting and hauling stages,but decreased at the towing *** results from codend fluttering motions can improve the understanding of fish behavior and gear shape that modify the hydrodynamic force on the codend instantaneously.

It is of great significance to explore the effects of different tillage practices on total nitrogen and its components in rice-wheat rotation *** experiment was carried out in Jiangyan County,Jiangsu Province of China,and a total of four treatments were set up:minimum tillage(MT),rotary tillage(RT),conventional tillage(CT),and conventional tillage without straw retention(CT0).The total nitrogen(TN),light fraction nitrogen(LFN),heavy fraction nitrogen(HFN),particulate nitrogen(PN),and mineral-associated nitrogen(MN)in 0-20 cm soil were *** results show that MT increased TN concentration by2.26%-27.57%compared with the other treatments in 0-5 cm soil,but it lost this advantage in 5-10 cm and 10-20 cm *** altered the concentration of LFN by 6.03%-95.86%,of HFN by 1.68%-20.75%,of PN by 12.58%-96.83%,and of MN by−1.73%-9.83%as compared to RT,CT,and CT0 in 0-5 cm soil,*** the deepened of soil depth,the concentration of TN,LFN,HFN,PN,and MN decreased quickly in MT,which was lower than that in RT and CT at 10-20 cm soil *** return increased the concentration of TN and its components in 0-20 cm *** concentration of TN was extremely significantly positively correlated with that of LFN,HFN,PN,and MN(p<0.01).The variation of TN was significantly positively correlated with that of LFN,HFN,PN,and MN(p<0.01),and LFN showed the highest sensitivity to tillage *** general,minimum tillage combined with straw retention increased the concentration of soil TN and its components in *** was the best indicator to indicate the change in soil total nitrogen affected by tillage practice.

Plastic film mulch in agricultural production becomes essential to maintaining crop yields in arid and semiarid ***,the presence of residual film in farmland soil has also drawn much *** this study,three experiments were *** first two experimental designs included 0,450,1350,and 2700 kg ha^(-1) of residual film pieces of approximately 5 cm side length added to field soil(0-20 cm soil depth)for seven years and added to pots for four *** the third experiment,1350 kg ha^(-1)of the residual film with different side lengths(2-5,5-10,10-15,and 15-20 cm)was added to field soil for six years to explore the effect of residual film fragment size on soil nutrients,soil microorganisms,crop growth and *** residual film had little effect on the soil moisture at a field depth of 0-2(or 0-1.8)*** were no significant effects on organic carbon,total nitrogen,inorganic nitrogen,total phosphorus or available phosphorus in the 0-20 cm soil *** presence of residual film decreased the richness and diversity of the bacterial community of the surface soil of the residual film,but it had no significant effect on the microbial community of the non-surface *** emergence rates of wheat and lentils occasionally decreased significantly with different amounts of residue fragments added to the *** 450-2700 kg ha^(-1),the residual film reduced the plant height and stem diameter of maize and significantly reduced the shoot biomass of harvested maize by 11-19%.The average yields of maize and potato over the seven years decreased,but there were almost no significant statistical differences among the *** results provide important data for a comprehensive scientific understanding of the effects of residual film on soil and crops in dryland farming systems.

Fractional vegetation cover(FVC)is an important parameter to measure crop *** studies of crop growth monitoring,it is very important to extract FVC quickly and *** the most widely used FVC extraction method,the photographic method has the advantages of simple operation and high extraction ***,when soil moisture and acquisition times vary,the extraction results are less *** accommodate various conditions of FVC extraction,this study proposes a new FVC extraction method that extracts FVC from a normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)greyscale image of wheat by using a density peak k-means(DPK-means)*** this study,Yangfumai 4(YF4)planted in pots and Yangmai 16(Y16)planted in the field were used as the research *** a hyperspectral imaging camera mounted on a tripod,ground hyperspectral images of winter wheat under different soil conditions(dry and wet)were collected at 1 m above the potted wheat *** aerial vehicle(UAV)hyperspectral images of winter wheat at various stages were collected at 50 m above the field wheat canopy by a UAV equipped with a hyperspectral *** pixel dichotomy method and DPK-means algorithm were used to classify vegetation pixels and non-vegetation pixels in NDVI greyscale images of wheat,and the extraction effects of the two methods were compared and *** results showed that extraction by pixel dichotomy was influenced by the acquisition conditions and its error distribution was relatively scattered,while the extraction effect of the DPK-means algorithm was less affected by the acquisition conditions and its error distribution was *** absolute values of error were 0.042 and 0.044,the root mean square errors(RMSE)were 0.028 and 0.030,and the fitting accuracy R2 of the FVC was 0.87 and 0.93,under dry and wet soil conditions and under various time conditions,*** study found that the DPK-means algorithm was capable of achieving more accur

Given the public concern over the safety of genetically modified （GM） technology and products, the article elaborated the safety regulatory and administration on agricultural GMOs in China. China has made a set of laws and regulations of GMO safety management and confirmed competent authorities with clear-cut responsibilities. According to the laws and regulations, GMO products before entering markets have to pass through safety evaluation, get production and processing permission and be labeled correctly. For the importation of GM products, China has set up an import approval system. In addition, China has established technical supportive systems, including safety evaluation specifications, trial specifications and criteria specifications. The existing regulatory system supervises and regulates all activities and work related to agri- cultural GMOs in China.
