Characteristic of red eye related diseases of Han and Uygur population in Urumchi compared with Shanghai, China

AIM: To study the characteristics, relative distribution and to compare causes of red eye in ophthalmic clinics in Urumchi and Shanghai, ***: Data on continuous cases of red-eye patients admitted to the Ophthalmology center of Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the First Affiliated Hospital of xinjiang Medical University were collected between November 2018 and September 2019. Demographic data, the incidence of red eye and related disease distribution of all cases were obtained. The independent t-test method was used for age comparison, while the Chi-square test was used to compare classified data ***: The information on 335 and 415 patients with red eyes in Shanghai and Urumchi were collected, respectively. The main causes of red eye were conjunctival disease and dry eye. The age of female patients with red eyes was significantly higher than that of males, and the proportion of female patients with dry eyes was also ***-eye-related diseases occurred more frequently in patients over 46 years old than in those under 18, and dry eye was more common with increasing age. The incidence of infectious conjunctivitis in Urumchi was significantly higher than that in Shanghai, and allergic conjunctivitis occurred more frequently in spring, summer, or autumn than in winter(all Pregions of China, and distribution varies with age and season, the latter being an important feature of allergic conjunctivitis.

Patterns in species geographic range size are relatively well-known for vertebrates,but still poorly known for *** of these patterns between groups have rarely been *** a detailed flora and fauna distribution database of xinjiang,China,we used regression methods,redundancy analysis and random forests to explore the relationship of environment and body size with the geographic range size of plants,mammals and birds in xinjiang and contrast these patterns between plants and *** found positive correlations between species range size and body *** range size of plants was more influenced by water variables,while that of mammals and birds was largely influenced by temperature *** productivity variable,i.e.,Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI)was far more correlated with range size than climatic variables for both plants and animals,suggesting that vegetation productivity inferred from remote sensing data may be a good predictor of species range size for both plants and animals.

Analysis of EGFR gene mutations in lung adenocarcinoma in Karamay,xinjiang,China

Background:To investigate the mutation types and mutation rate of the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)gene in patients with lung adenocarcinoma and the clinical features of lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR gene mutations in Karamay,xinjiang,***:Paraffin-embedded tissue samples of adenocarcinoma patients were collected in the Karamay Central Hospital from March 2016 to June 2019,and mutations in exon 18–21 of the EGFR gene were detected by the allele-specific amplification polymerase chain reaction(Amplification RefractoryMutation System–PCR)*** relationships between themutation types,mutation incidence,and clinical features were ***:Of the 170 patients with lung adenocarcinoma,83 had EGFR *** total mutation rate of EGFR in patients with lung adenocarcinoma was 48.8%,which included mutations in exons 18(1.2%[2/170]),19(19.4%[33/170]),20(2.4%[4/170]),and 21(20.6%[35/170]).Intriguingly,there was a case with 9 mutations in exons 20 and *** mutations in exon 19 of EGFR resulted in the deletion of codons 746 to *** main mutation in exon 21 was L858R(91.4%[32/35]).There was no significant difference in exons 19 and 21 mutation rates(P>0.05).The mutation rate of EGFR in female patients was significantly higher than that in male patients(P0.05).The EGFR mutation rate may be related to the degree of tumor ***:Among patients with lung adenocarcinoma in Kelamayi(city in xinjiang),EGFR mutations were more frequently detected in female patients,and the main sites of mutations were exons 19 and 21.

Voluminous granitoids are widely distributed in the Langshan region,northeast of the Alxa block,and record the evolutionary processes of the southern Central Asian Orogenic *** Dabashan pluton was emplaced into the Paleoproterozoic Diebusige *** Carboniferous zircon LA-ICP MS U-Pb ages were from 327 Ma to 346 *** Dabashan pluton can be classified as monzogranite and syenogranite,and exhibits high K2 O contents and K2 O/Na2 O ratios,which reveal a high-K calc-alkaline *** samples display strongly fractionated REE patterns,and are enriched in large ion lithophile elements(LILE)relative to high field strength elements(HFSE).The Dabashan plutons display unusually high Ba(823–2817 ppm)and Sr(166–520 ppm)contents and K/Rb ratios(315–627),but low Rb/Ba ratios(0.02–0.14),and exhibit fertile zircon Hf isotopic compositions[εHf(t)=-14 to-20],which are comparable to those of typical high Ba–Sr *** on the geochemical compositions of the samples,we suggest that subducted sediments and ancient crustal materials both played important roles in their *** melts were derived from partial melting of subcontinental lithophile mantle metasomatized by subducted sediment-related melts with residual garnet in the source,which caused partial melting of ancient lower *** derived from underplating ascended and emplaced in the middle–upper crust at different *** resultant magmas experienced some degree of fractional crystallization during their *** these geochemical characteristics,together with regional tectonic,magmatic,and structure analysis data,an active continental margin environment is proposed for the generation of these rocks.

The shrinkage of the Aral Sea,which is closely related to the Amu Darya River,strongly affects the sustainability of the local natural ecosystem,agricultural production,and human *** this study,we used the Bayesian Estimator of Abrupt change,Seasonal change,and Trend(BEAST)model to detect the historical change points in the variation of the Aral Sea and the Amu Darya River and analyse the causes of the Aral Sea shrinkage during the 1950–2016 ***,we applied multifractal detrend cross-correlation analysis(MF-DCCA)and quantitative analysis to investigate the responses of the Aral Sea to the runoff in the Amu Darya River,which is the main source of recharge to the Aral *** results showed that two significant trend change points in the water volume change of the Aral Sea occurred,in 1961 and *** 1961,the water volume in the Aral Sea was stable,after which it began to shrink,with a shrinkage rate fluctuating around 15.21 km3/*** 1974,the water volume of the Aral Sea decreased substantially at a rate of up to 48.97 km3/a,which was the highest value recorded in this *** addition,although the response of the Aral Sea's water volume to its recharge runoff demonstrated a complex non-linear relationship,the replenishment of the Aral Sea by the runoff in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River was identified as the dominant factor affecting the Aral Sea *** on the scenario analyses,we concluded that it is possible to slow down the retreat of the Aral Sea and restore its ecosystem by increasing the efficiency of agricultural water use,decreasing agricultural water use in the middle and lower reaches,reducing ineffective evaporation from reservoirs and wetlands,and increasing the water coming from the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River to the 1961–1973 *** measures would maintain and stabilise the water area and water volume of the Aral Sea in a state of ecological ***,this study focuses on how huma

Development and Validation of a Nomogram for Predicting the Probability of Live Birth in Infertile Women

Objective:To develop a nomogram to predict the probability of live birth on the basis of the association of patient characteristics in subfertile individuals or ***:A retrospective study was conducted from January 2014 to December 2015.A nomogram was built from a training cohort and tested on an independent validation cohort.A total of 2,257 patients who had undergone their first nondonor cycle of in vitro fertilization(IVF)(including intracytoplasmic sperm injection)were randomly split 2:1 into training(n=1,527)and validation(n=730)***:There were no statistically significant differences in the patients’baseline and cycle characteristics between the training and validation *** multiple logistic regression analysis,female age,antral follicle count,tubal factor,anovulation,ethnicity,unexplained fertility,and male factor were significantly associated with live *** nomogram had a C-index of 0.700(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.698-0.701)in the training cohort and 0.684(95%CI:0.681-0.687)in the validation ***:Our nomogram can predict the probability of live birth for infertile women and can be used to guide clinicians and couples to decide on an IVF treatment option.

Spatiotemporal variations of aridity index over the Belt and Road region under the 1.5℃ and 2.0℃ warming scenarios

Aridity index reflects the exchanges of energy and water between the land surface and the atmosphere,and its variation can be used to forecast drought and flood patterns,which makes it of great significance for agricultural *** ratio of potential evapotranspiration and precipitation is applied to analyse the spatial and temporal distributions of the aridity index in the Belt and Road region under the 1.5℃and 2.0℃global warming scenarios on the basis of outputs from four downscaled global climate *** results show that:(1)Under the 1.5℃warming scenario,the area-averaged aridity index will be similar to that in 1986-2005(around 1.58),but the changes vary *** aridity index will increase by more than 5%in Central-Eastern Europe,north of West Asia,the monsoon region of East Asia and northwest of Southeast Asia,while it is projected to decrease obviously in the southeast of West *** the seasonal scale,spring and winter will be more arid in South Asia,and the monsoon region of East Asia will be slightly drier in summer compared with the reference ***,West Asia will be wetter in all seasons,except winter.(2)Relative to 1986-2005,both areal averaged annual potential evapotranspiration and precipitation are projected to increase,and the spatial variation of aridity index will become more obvious as well at the 2.0℃warming *** the aridity index over the entire region will be maintained at approximately 1.57 as that in 1.5℃,the index in Central-Eastern Europe,north of West Asia and Central Asia will grow rapidly at a rate of more than 20%,while that in West Siberia,northwest of China,the southern part of South Asia and West Asia will show a declining *** the seasonal scale,the increase of the aridity index in Central-Eastern Europe,Central Asia,West Asia,South Asia and the northern part of Siberia in winter will be obvious,and the monsoon region in East Asia will be drier in both summer and autumn.(3)Under the scena

Cotton stalk restitution coefficient determination tests based on the binocular high-speed camera technology

The restitution coefficient(RC)of cotton stalks is an important elementary physical parameter that is required to establish the crushing mechanical model and research the film residue separation *** this study,the calculation method of restitution coefficient considering the rotation motion of stalk-shaped agricultural materials was derived based on the principle of kinematics and the energy restitution coefficient method,and a test bench for measuring the RC was designed and *** effects of collision material,moisture content,length,diameter,release height,and collision angle respectively on the RC were investigated by single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiments,and the regression models between influence factors and the RC were *** results showed that Q235 showed the highest value of the RC,and it was followed by cotton stalks and soil lumps,*** RC of cotton stalks decreased with the increase of moisture content and diameter,while it increased at first and then decreased with the increase of *** the release height was less than 500 mm,the RC increased with the increased release *** the collision angle was less than 40°,the RC showed a linear increasing *** significance of the effects of factors on RC decreased with the following sequence:collision angle,length,release height,diameter,and moisture ***,collision angle,and release height were extremely *** contrast test results showed that the values based on Newton’s restitution coefficient method were smaller than that based on the energy restitution coefficient *** verification test showed that the predicted rebound height of cotton stalks calculated based on the energy restitution coefficient method was closer to the actual rebound height,and the relative error was less than 5%.
