Diffusion models, a family of generative models based on deep learning, have become increasinglyprominent in cutting-edge machine learning research. With distinguished performance in generating samples thatresemble the observed data, diffusion models are widely used in image, video, and text synthesis nowadays. Inrecent years, the concept of diffusion has been extended to time-series applications, and many powerful models havebeen developed. Considering the deficiency of a methodical summary and discourse on these models, we providethis survey as an elementary resource for new researchers in this area and to provide inspiration to motivate futureresearch. For better understanding, we include an introduction about the basics of diffusion models. Except forthis, we primarily focus on diffusion-based methods for time-series forecasting, imputation, and generation, andpresent them, separately, in three individual sections. We also compare different methods for the same applicationand highlight their connections if applicable. Finally, we conclude with the common limitation of diffusion-basedmethods and highlight potential future research directions.

The four-level active neutral point clamped(ANPC)inverter has become increasingly widely used in the renewable energy indus-try since it offers one more voltage level without increasing the total number of active switches compared to the three-level ANPC *** model predictive current control(MPCC)is a promising control method for multi-level ***,the conven-tional MPCC suffers from high computational complexity and tedious weighting factor tuning in multi-level inverter applications.A low-complexity MPCC without weighting factors for a four-level ANPC inverter is proposed in this *** computational burden and voltage vector candidate set are reduced according to the relationship between voltage vector and neutral point voltage *** proposed MPCC shows excellent steady-state and dynamics performances while ensuring the neutral point voltage *** efficacy of the proposed MPCC is verified by simulation and experimental results.

Face passive failure can severely damage existing structures and underground utilities during shallow shield tunneling,especially in coastal backfill *** this work,a series of laboratory model tests were developed and conducted to investigate such failure,for tunnels located at burial depth ratios for which C/D=0.5,0.8,1,and *** pressures,the evolution of failure processes,the failure modes,and the distribution of velocity fields were examined through model tests and numerical *** support pressure in the tests first rose rapidly to the elastic limit and then gradually increased to the maximum value in all *** maximum support pressure decreased slightly in cases where C/D=0.8,1,and 1.3,but the rebound was insignificant where C/D=*** addition,the configuration of the failure mode with C/D=0.5 showed a wedge-shaped arch,which was determined by the outcropping shear *** configuration of failure modes was composed of an arch and the inverted trapezoid when C/D=0.8,1,and 1.3,in which the mode was divided into lower and upper failure zones.

In 2012, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) practitioners in australia became nationally-registered allied health professionals in three categories: acupuncturist, Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, and Chinese herbal medicine dispenser. australia was the first Western country to introduce national registration for Chinese medicine, followed by Portugal and, recently, New Zealand. The practice of TCM in australia can be traced back to the beginning of Chinese immigration to australia during the Victorian Gold Rush which began in the 1850s. The process which led to national registration commenced in the early 1970s with the establishment of the first acupuncture courses. Decades of gradual development of courses from unaccredited part-time diplomas to accredited bachelor degrees, and the development, by the profession, of national consensus on educational standards were essential elements in the process which led to registration. Professional associations, such as the australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association ltd.(AACMA), also developed a framework of professional selfregulation, including Codes of Ethics, Codes of Conduct, ongoing professional development requirements and Infection Control Guidelines, and provided leadership in the development of the profession. After decades of tribalism and division within the TCM profession, the National Academic Standards Committee brought almost all stakeholders together to reach a consensus on the australian Guidelines for Traditional Chinese Medicine Education which were published by AACMA in 2001. Professional associations also collaborated on joint submissions to the government in support of registration, which was introduced first in the state of Victoria in 2000, and subsequently became national in 2012. Despite national registration, some barriers still remain, and professional associations continue to lobby the federal government for inclusion in Medicare, chronic disease management scheme, and Veterans

A critical challenge of any blast simulation facility is in producing the widest possible pressure-impulse range for matching against equivalent high-explosive *** tubes and blast simulators are often constrained with the lack of effective ways to control blast wave profiles and as a result have a limited performance *** wave shaping techniques employed in some facilities are reviewed but often necessitate extensive geometric modifications,inadvertently cause flow anomalies,and/or are only applicable under very specific *** paper investigates controlled venting as an expedient way for waveforms to be tuned without requiring extensive modifications to the driver or existing geometry and could be widely applied by existing and future blast simulation and shock tube *** use of controlled venting is demonstrated experimentally using the Advanced Blast Simulator(shock tube)at the australian National Facility of Physical Blast Simulation and via numerical flow simulations with Computational Fluid *** venting is determined as an effective method for mitigating the impact of re-reflected waves within the blast *** control method also allows for the adjustment of parameters such as tuning the peak overpressure,the positive phase duration,and modifying the magnitude of the negative phase and the secondary shock of the blast *** paper is concluded with an illustration of the potential expanded performance range of the australian blast simulation facility when controlled venting for blast waveform tailoring as presented in this paper is applied.
