This paper presents a distributed and scalable admission control scheme to provideend-to-end statistical QoS guarantees in IP network. The basic idea of the scheme is that the ingressrouters make admission control decisions according to the network status information obtained bysending probing packets along the selected routing path. Each router passively monitors thearriving traffic and marks the probing packets with its network status. The performance of thepresented scheme is evaluated with a variety of traffic models, QoS metrics and network *** simulation results show that the proposed scheme can accurately control the admissible regionand effectively improve the utilization of network resource.

An improved partial oxidation of 1,4-dimethoxypillar[5]arene(DMP[5])was described,through which selected pillar[n]arene[5−n]quinones,such as pillar[4]arene[1]quinone,pillar[3]arene[2]quinone,pillar[2]arene[3]quinone and pillar[1]arene[4]quinone,were synthesized by manipulating the ratio of oxidative reagent(NH4)2[Ce(NO3)6]to DMP[5].

Two-dimensional （2D） layered materials, transition-metal dichalcogenides, and black phosphorus have attracted considerable interest from the viewpoints of fundamental physics and device applications. The establishment of new functionalities in anisotropic layered 2D materials is a challenging but rewarding frontier, owing to the remarkable optical properties of these materials and their prospects for new devices. Herein, we report the anisotropic and thickness- dependent optical properties of a 2D layered monochalcogenide of germanium sulfide （GeS）. Three Raman-scattering peaks corresponding to the B3g,, A1g, and A2g modes with a strong polarization dependence are demonstrated in the GeS flakes, which validates polarized Raman spectroscopy as an effective method for identifying the crystal orientation of anisotropic layered GeS. Photoluminescence （PL） is observed with a peak at -1.66 eV that originates from the direct optical transition in GeS at room temperature. The polarization-dependent characteristics of the PL, which are revealed for the first time, along with the demonstration of anisotropic absorption, indicate an obvious anisotropic optical transition near the band edge of GeS, which is supported by density functional theory calculations. The significantly thickness-dependent PL is observed and discussed. This anisotropic layered GeS presents opportunities for the discovery of new physical phenomena and will find applications that exploit its anisotropic properties, such as polarization-sensitive photodetectors.

The evolution of the fifth-generation(5G) new radio(NR) has progressed swiftly since the third generation partnership project(3GPP) standardized the first NR version(Release 15) in mid-2018. Nowadays, the world’s leading carriers are competing to provide various commercial services over 5G *** ahead to 2025 and beyond, it is expected that over 6.5 million 5G base stations will be installed to offer services to over 58% of the world’s population via over 100 billion 5G connections. Following the rapid development of 5G, an increasing number of commercialization use cases will drive the 5G network to continuously improve performance and expand capabilities. Hence, it is the right time to consider a welldefined framework and standardization for 5G NR evolution(5G-advanced) to support commercialization between 2025 and 2030. First, this study addresses the key driving forces, requirements, usage scenarios,and capabilities of 5G-advanced; then, it highlights the main technological challenges and introduces the top 10 promising technological directions in detail. Finally, other fascinating technological directions in5G-advanced are shortly mentioned.

The single-carrier block transmission（SCBT）,a.k.a.,single-carrier frequency-domain equalization（SC-FDE）,is being considered as an option technique for the wireless personal area network（WPAN） operating at 60 *** is found that for residential environment,in non-line-of-sight（NLOS） multi-path channels,the SCBT is much more effective to combat the inter-symbol interference（ISI） compared with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing（OFDM）.Low-density parity-check（LDPC） codes are a class of linear block codes which provide near capacity performance on a large collection of data transmission and storage channels while simultaneously admitting implementable *** facilitate using LDPC codes for SCBT system,a new log-likelihood ratio（LLR） calculation method is proposed based on pilot symbols（PS）.Golay Sequences whose sum autocorrelation has a unique peak and zero sidelobe are used for creating the *** position and length of the PS are not fixed in the data *** simulation results show that the proposed method can significantly improve the LDPC decoding performance in SCBT *** is very promising to support ultra high-data-rate wireless transmission.

A novel electroplating indium bumping process is described,as a result of which indium bump arrays with a pitch of 100μm and a diameter of 40μm were successfully ***（under bump metallization） for indium bumping was investigated with an XRD *** experimental results indicate that Ti/Pt（300（？）/200（？）） has an excellent barrier effect both at room temperature and at 200℃.The bonding reliability of the indium bumps was evaluated by a shear *** show that the shear strength of the indium bump significantly increases after the first reflow and then changes slowly with increasing reflow *** a phenomenon may be caused by the change in textures of the indium after *** corresponding flip-chip process is also discussed in this paper.

Various materials have been found to“catalyze”carbon nanotube growth in chemical vapor deposition(CVD)when they become nano-sized *** involve not only metals,such as Pd,Pt,Au,Ag,and Cu,but also semiconductors,such as Si,Ge,and *** and diamond nanoparticles also produce carbon ***“catalysts”,which are better called“seeds”,can be categorized into two types:one type forms a eutectic liquid or highly-mobile alloy with carbon,and carbon atoms precipitate from the eutectic alloy;the other type remains as a solid phase and form a carbon surface layer during CVD *** this paper,we review recent studies of SWCNT growth with these non-iron-group materials and highlight the mechanisms involved.
