Uncertainties are common in the dating of *** improve the credibility of the dating of paleoearthquakes,analysis was done on fault activity,sedimentary environment and seismo-geomorphology to investigate paleoearthquakes along the Zemuhe active fault *** trenches were excavated near Daqingliangzi,which revealed three palaeoearthquake events aged 160a,3100a and 5500a～8900a,respectively,including recurrence intervals of about *** processes related to strike-slip fault type earthquakes were discussed,and a sedimentary model was put forward for strike-slip faults at hillsides where drumlin and reverse scarp developed.

Seamless Healthcare System for the Elderly Based on RFID Technology

Purpose: To design a seamless healthcare system to provide the elderly in the community of Wuhan city with active, real-time and seamless health services. Method: All of the health services for the elderly in the community of Wuhan city, such as chronic disease management, first aid, and diagnosis have been systematically integrated based on the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology combined with the existing high-tech, such as nano-sensor, network, information system technology, wireless technology, Bluetooth and Area Position System (APS) positioning. Results: The system has been constructed and put into use, initially achieving seamless health services for the elderly. The majority of both the elderly and healthcare workers are satisfied with the system. Conclusion: The study initially proposes the use of RFID technology to plan and design the elderly healthcare system, and has successfully carried the system out and got positive outcomes. It provides a new direction in the relevant research fields.

research on Deformation Mode of the Longmenshan-Longriba Region Using GPS and Leveling Data

The Longmenshan-Longriba region is located on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, and is an ideal place to study the eastward extrusion and uplift mechanism of the plateau. Previous studies on this area mainly focused on tectonic activity and seismic hazard, with few studies giving its overall deformation characteristics and dynamic mechanism. This paper uses the latest dense GPS data, combined with precise Leveling data to analyze the kinematic characteristics and deformation mode of the Longmenshan fault zone (LMSF) and the Longriba fault zone (LRBF). The results show that both the Longmenshan fault zone and the Longriba fault zone have certain right-lateral strike-slip and thrusting, indicating that they play an important role in adjusting strain distribution and absorbing tectonic deformation;The strain-rate field on the Longriba fault zone is broadly distributed, suggesting that the deformation field is at least partially coupled;while the strain-rate field on the Longmenshan fault zone presents a non-uniform distribution, indicating different dynamic sources acting on segments. The high strain rate areas revealed in this study points us to the high-risk area for future earthquakes. The present-day vertical motion velocity field in the region obtained from Leveling and GPS data shows a mismatch between the regional deformation field and active tectonics, which can be explained by the incomplete coupling of deformation between the lower and upper crust.

Current Activity Characteristics of the fault Zone Along the Northern Margin of West Qinling Range Revealed by GPS Measurement

The fault zone along the northern margin of West Qinling Range is a major active fault zone in the key seismic monitoring area in the southeastern part of Gansu Province. In order to study the current activity characteristics of this fault, GPS monitoring network has been arranged along both sides of the fault and 3 measurements have been made from 1996 to 1998. The result indicates that obvious differential movement exists along the north and south sides of the fault and the eastward movement on the south side is 3.8 mm/a larger than that on the north side. In the GPS network, the shortened side is generally in the trend of EW and the extended side is basically NW to SE. The principal compressional stress trend in this area is about EW and the sinistral motion is obvious in the eastern part of the fault (near Wushan). The measured results also indicate that the displacement rate has decreased by 50% and the compressional strain has increased by 100% as compared the data of 1997 -1998 with those of 1996-1997, which shows that the compressional stress field in this region is intensifying and the next earthquake might be developing at present.

Dimensional Characteristics of Children and Adolescents with Mood Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders

Objective: We sought to identify clinical discriminators between predominantly mood disordered and predominantly autism spectrum disordered research subjects that may reflect phenotypic state and treatment response characteristics. Method: Participants were 26 boys and 4 girls aged 2 to 18 years (Mean Age = 7.70). Subjects with DSM-IV diagnoses of Major depression (N = 2), Bipolar Disorder (N = 4) and Mood Disorder not otherwise specified (NOS) (N = 11) represented the mood disorder group (MD) (N = 17, Mean Age = 8.2) and those with diagnoses of Autistic Disorder (N = 1), Asperger’s Disorder (7) or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (NOS) (N = 3) comprised the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) group (N = 9, Mean Age = 6.8). Primary outcome measurements were continuous actigraphic measurements collected over one to three week periods. Secondary outcomes included personality and observational measurements. Personality characteristics reflected significant cross-group impairments related to self-control and self-discipline and differed relative to intellectual measures. Observational measurements reflected greater general impairments among the ASD group. Results: Predominantly mood disordered children demonstrated greater impairments related to sleep (P = 0.000) and sleep onset latency (P = 0.000) and were more active than ASD children during evening periods (P = 0.000). ASD children had lower verbal functioning and greater deviations from the norm on measures of cognitive development (P = 0.003) and psychosis (P = 0.047). Conclusions: Sleep disturbances, evening activity levels and phase delayed sleep appear to differentiate predominant mood and autism spectrum disordered children suggesting future areas for further exploration of neurological and phenotypic treatment response characteristics.

Effects of Nitrogen Application Rate to Late Rice on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Soil Carbon Pool During the Growing Season of Winter Chinese Milk vetch

It is of important referential values for the further understanding of the effects of fertilization on greenhouse gas emissions and the effects of winter green manure on soil carbon pool to study the effects of fertilization on the greenhouse gas emissions and soil carbon pool during the growing season of winter Chinese milk vetch in the process of rice *** study investigated the effects of nitrogen application in late rice season on the yield of the succeeding Chinese milk vetch and greenhouse gas emissions as well as the soil carbon pool characteristics after the winter planting of Chinese milk vetch with the winter idling of no nitrogen application as the *** results showed that the yield of Chinese milk vetch was the highest under the nitrogen application of 225 kg/hm^2 in the late rice season,reaching up to 18 388.97 kg/hm^2,which was significantly different from other treatments( P active organic carbon,and carbon pool management index( P < 0.01).Nitrogen application in the late rice season increased the emissions of N_2 O,CH_4,CO_2,and enhanced the greenhouse gas emission potential during the growing season of Chinese milk ***,without reducing the yield of rice,reducing the amount of nitrogen fertilizer in rice could reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in the growing season of succeeding Chinese milk vetch.

Nickel-nitrogen-carbon single-atom catalysts have attracted widespread interest for CO_(2)electroreduction but they suffer from poor ***,we report on the preparation of Cl-and N-doped porous carbon nanosheets with atomically dispersed NiN_(4)Cl active sites(NiN_(4)Cl-ClNC)through a molten-salt-assisted pyrolysis *** optimized NiN_(4)Cl-ClNC catalyst delivers exceptional CO_(2)conversion activity with outstanding stability for over 220 h at−0.7 V versus RHE and a high CO Faradaic efficiency of 98.7%at a CO partial current density of 12.4 mA cm^(−2).Moreover,NiN_(4)Cl-ClNC displays a remarkable CO partial current density of approximately 349.4 mA cm^(−2)in flow-cell,meeting the requirements of industrial *** attenuated total reflectance surface-enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations are used to understand the outstanding activity and *** reveal that the introduced axial Ni-Cl bond on the Ni center and Cl─C bond on the carbon support synergetically induce electronic delocalization,which not only stabilizes Ni against leaching but also facilitates the formation of the COOH*intermediate that is found to be the rate-determining step.
