A problem of quadrotor’s autonomous flight control system based on Beagle Bone Black(BBB) high-performance embedded computer is investigated in this paper. BBB is chosen as the main control computer equipped with Wi-Fi receiver, GPS, and camera, while STMS320F28335 is used as the attitude control processer equipped with IMU, optical flow sensor, and infrared range finder. The software system is made up of a cascaded(inner-outer loop) attitude control based on optical flow sensor and ground station control system based on robot operating system(ROS) network. This system enhances quadrotor’s ability of performing complex tasks and enables it autonomy. Indoor hovering tests prove that attitude control algorithm has a stable performance.

Fuzzy Control Based on Neural Networks for armored Vehicle Electric Drive System

In order to meet rigorous demands of control of electric motors in armored vehicle electric drive system and make the system of strong robustness and antijamming capability, a fuzzy control method based on neural networks is put forward. The simulation model of the armored vehicle electric drive system is built up to test the validity of the control. Simulation experiments show that when load is increased or decreased suddenly, the system adopting fuzzy control based on neural networks is insensitive to parameter change and has little overshooting and oscillation compared with PID control.

Graded finite elements(GFEs) provide a promising way for simulating functionally graded materials. Nevertheless, the existing GFE method takes the conventional isoparametric transform functions as a unified representation for the material non-homogeneity in each element regardless of the practical global distribution forms of material properties. This inevitably leads to a certain difference between the local formulation of material property variation in the elements and the corresponding global gradation patterns. In order to eliminate this difference, an improved GFE algorithm is proposed in the present article. The property distribution in the element is formulated by substituting the isoparametric transform of the coordinates directly into the corresponding global gradation functions. Therefore, the local property distribution is always consistent with the global one. Both the improved six-node triangular elements(T6) and eight-node quadrilateral elements(Q8) are developed for non-homogeneous elastic, piezoelectric and magneto-electro-elastic materials, respectively. Exact solutions in three special cases are presented to make comparison with the numerical results, and the accuracy of the proposed algorithm is verified. It is demonstrated that the improved GFE is an effective method for the numerical simulation of functionally graded materials.

Background, Motivation and Objective Sliding is a typical failure mode of composite interfaces under shear loading. According to traditional theory, interfacial sliding can be represented by the linear shear-spring model(LSSM). Although the required driving interfacial shear stress has been characterized by LSSM, the relation between interfacial normal stress and sliding is not yet reflected by it. The present paper proposes an interfacial sliding-prevention/promotion model to represent this relation, and then make fracture analysis to investigate its effect on the intra-layer fracture behavior of a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite. Statement of Contribution/Methods An interfacial sliding-prevention/promotion model is proposed to represent the relation between interfacial normal stress and sliding. The localized sliding-prevention/promotion mechanism of intra-layer fracture is revealed for a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite. The methods of Green’s functions and Cauchy singular integral equations are combined together to make the fracture analysis. Results An interfacial sliding-prevention/promotion model is constructed, which generalizes the conventional LSSM by considering the relation between interfacial normal stress and sliding. The intra-layer fracture problem of a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite is analyzed. Numerical results of mechanical strain energy release rate(MSERR) and interfacial normal stress are provided to reveal the fracture behavior and its underlying physical mechanism. Discussion and Conclusions(a) When the cracks are only subjected to equivalent shear traction, non-zero normal stress may occur in local interfacial regions near to the intra-layer crack tips.(b) Positive interfacial normal stress gives rise to local sliding-promotion effect, while negative interfacial normal stress leads to local sliding-prevention effect.(c) Larger sliding-promotion coefficient reduces interfacial constraint and thus enhances MSERRs of the intra

Study on Modeling and Control Strategy for Electric Drive Motor of Tracked Vehicles

Aimed at the requirements for electric transmission system of a military tracked vehicle, the motor's design indexes were analysed and calculated. A model based on saturate inductance parameter of interior permanent magnet (IPM) synchronous motor was brought forward by using finite element analysis. And its control strategy based on the largest running capability was studied also. The experiment results for a scale model show that the modelling method improves the model's accuracy, and the motor's control strategy is effective.

Numerical simulation and experimental study of hybrid laser-electric arc welding between dissimilar Mg alloys

This work aims to establish a suitable numerical simulation model for hybrid laser-electric arc heat source welding of dissimilar Mg alloys between AZ31 and AZ80. Based on the energy conservation law and Fourier’s law of heat conduction, the differential equations of the three-dimensional temperature field for nonlinear transient heat conduction are built. According to the analysis of nonlinear transient heat transfer, the equations representing initial conditions and boundary conditions are obtained. The “double ellipsoidal heat source + 3D Gaussian heat source”combination was chosen to construct the laser-electric arc hybrid heat source. The weld bead morphologies and the distribution of temperature, stress, displacement and plastic strains are numerically simulated. The actual welding experiments were performed by a hybrid laser-electric arc welding machine. The interaction mechanism between laser and electric arc in the hybrid welding of Mg alloys is discussed in detail. The hybrid heat source can promote the absorption of laser energy and electric arc in the molten pool, resulting in more uniform energy distribution in the molten pool and the corresponding improvement of welding parameters. This work can provide theoretical guidance and data supports for the optimization of the hybrid laser-electric arc welding processes for Mg alloys.

In order to prepare special MRFs to satisfy the demands of tracked vehicle,two different carrier fluids were used to prepare *** of MRF,which are based on carrier of special shock absorption fluid and 45 transformer oil,was *** characteristics of these samples were tested and *** results show that Tween-80 and Span-80 can improve the sedimentary stability,and the larger mass fraction can also increase the sedimentary *** 45 transformer oil instead of special shock absorption fluid as a carrier of MRF,the shear yield stress remains nearly constant but the viscosity and the sedimentary stability are *** MRF with diameter of 2.73 μm shows better sedimentary stability than that of the MRF with diameter of 2.30 μm,or 4.02 μ*** acid obviously improves sedimentary stability and off-state viscosity,but has no function on the shear yield *** magnetic field of 237 kA/m,the shear yield stress of MRF based on special shock absorption fluid is 18.34 kPa and the shear yield stress of MRF based on 45 transformer oil is 14.26 kPa.

With the increasing amount of vehicles and traffic accidents, the current situation of transport safety is pessimistic. The research of drivers’ actions is hot spot. It introduces the basic contents of driver’s decision and the utility theory. Dividing the driver’s decision into four layers and using utility theory method to modeling the strategic layer o driver decision. It proposes the formation of safety, efficiency and easy maneuverability to evaluate the plans. It runs the model in the simulation which proves the feasibility of model.
