Proton exchange membrane fuel cells （PEMFCs） provide an appealing sustainable energy system,with the solid-electrolyte membrane playing a crucial role in its overall ***,sulfonated poly（1,4-phenylene ether-ether sulfone）(SPEES),an aromatic hydrocarbon polymer,has garnered considerable attention as an alternative to Nafion ***,the long-term durability and stability of SPEES present a significant *** this context,we introduce a potential solution in the form of an additive,specifically a core–shell-based amine-functionalized iron titanate （A–Fe2TiO5）,which holds promise for improving the lifetime,proton conductivity,and power density of SPEES in *** modified SPEES/A–Fe2TiO5composite membranes exhibited notable characteristics,including high water uptake,enhanced thermomechanical stability,and oxidative ***,the SPEES membrane loaded with 1.2 wt%of A–Fe2TiO5demonstrates a maximum proton conductivity of 155 mS cm-1,a twofold increase compared to the SPEES membrane,at 80°C under 100%relative humidity （rH）.Furthermore,the 1.2 wt%of A–Fe2TiO5/SPEES composite membranes exhibited a maximum power density of 397.37 mW cm-2and a current density of 1148 mA cm-2at 60°C under 100%rH,with an opencircuit voltage decay of 0.05 m V/h during 103 h of continuous *** study offers significant insights into the development and understanding of innovative SPEES nanocomposite membranes for PEMFC applications.

In this study,a triple spark ignition scheme was first designed on a three-cylinder 1.5-L dedicated hybrid engine（dHE）.On this basis,the effect of different ignition modes on engine combustion and emission characteristics was studied,especially under high dilution *** results tested at 2000 r/min and 0.8 MPa BMEP（brake mean effective pressure） show that with highly increased in-cylinder flow intensity,using only passive prechamber（PPC） has a lower lean limit than that with single central spark plug（CSP）,thereby leading to slightly higher minimum fuel consumption and nitrogen oxides（NOx） *** side spark plugs（SSP）based on PPC can result in improved capability of lean limit extension and engine performance than ***,the improvement level is lower than that with triple spark plugs（TSP）.As the excess air ratio λincreases,the advantage of PPC and PPC with SSP in improving the combustion phasing compared with CSP gradually ***,the increasing tendency of their ignition delay and combustion duration is more *** added SSP based on PPC can effectively shorten the ignition delay of leaner mixture,but the combustion duration can be only slightly *** a result,under extremely lean condition,the advantage of PPC and PPC with SSP in terms of combustion characteristics over CSP becomes much *** contrast,the TSP ignition can achieve much shorter ignition delay and combustion duration simultaneously under this *** to the highest available dilution level,the TSP ignition achieves the lowest raw ***,it can also reduce the raw carbon monoxide（CO） and hydrocarbons（HC） emissions compared to CSP due to a more thorough combustion of the end gas *** on the excellent performance of TSP,the highest engine brake thermal efficiency（BTE） was further *** results show that with normal rON 92 fuel,the engine finally achieved 43.69% and 45.02% BTE under stochiometric mode with exhaust

Because of the current depletion of high grade reserves, beneficiation of low grade ore, tailings produced and tailings stored in tailing ponds is needed to fulfill the market demand. Selective flocculation is one alternative process that could be used for the beneficiation of ultra-fine material. This process has not been extensively used commercially because of its complex dependency on process parameters. In this paper, a selective flocculation process, using synthetic mixtures of hematite and kaolinite in different ratios, was attempted, and the ad-sorption mechanism was investigated by Fourier transform infrared （FTIr） spectroscopy. A three-layer artificial neural network （ANN） model （4？4？3） was used to predict the separation performance of the process in terms of grade, Fe recovery, and separation efficiency. The model values were in good agreement with experimental values.

The Mechanism of Heating rate on the Secondary recrystallization Evolution in Grain Oriented Silicon Steel

Grain-oriented silicon steels were prepared at different heating rates during high temperature annealing, in which the evolution of magnetic properties, grain orientations and precipitates were studied. To illustrate the Zener factor, the diameter and number density of precipitates of interrupted testing samples were statistically calculated. The effect of precipitate ripening on the Goss texture and magnetic property was investigated. data indicated that the trend of Zener factor was similar under different heating rates, first increasing and then decreasing, and that the precipitate maturing was greatly inhibited as the heating rate increased. Secondary recrystallization was developed at the temperature of 1 010 ℃ when a heating rate of 5 ℃/h was used, resulting in Goss, Brass and {110} oriented grains growing abnormally and a magnetic induction intensity of 1.90T. Furthermore, increasing the heating rate to 20 ℃/h would inhibit the development of undesirable oriented grains and obtain a sharp Goss texture. However, when the heating rate was extremely fast, such as 40 ℃/h, poor secondary recrystallization was developed with many island grains, corresponding to a decrease in magnetic induction intensity to 1.87 T. At a suitable heating rate of 20 ℃/h, the sharpest Goss texture and the highest magnetic induction of 1.94 T with an onset secondary recrystallization temperature of 1 020 ℃ were found among the experimental variables in this study. The heating rate affected the initial temperature of secondary recrystallization by controlling the maturation of precipitates, leading to the deviation and dispersion of Goss texture, thereby reducing the magnetic properties.

Aqueous 1,8-diamino-p-menthane （KIEr-C3） and commercially available amine solutions were tested for CO2 absorption. A 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol （AMP） solution with an addition of KIEr-C3 showed 9.3% and 31.6% higher absorption rate for CO2 than the AMP solution with an addition of monoethanolamine （MEA） and ammonia （NH3）, respectively. The reaction rate constant for CO2 absorption by the AMP/KIEr-C3 solution was determined by the following equation： k2,AMP/C3 = 7.702×106 exp （-2248.03/T）. A CO2 loading ratio of the AMP/KIEr-C3 solution was also 2 and 3.4-times higher than that of the AMP/NH3 solution and the AMP/MEA solution, respectively. Based on the experimental results, KIEr-C3 may be used as an excellent additive to increase CO2 absorption capability of AMP.

Validation of the NATO Armaments Ballistic Kernel for use in small-arms fire control systems

In support for the development of a new small-arm ballistic computer based on the NATO Armaments Ballistic Kernel(NABK) for the Canadian snipers, drdC Valcartier research Centre was asked to carry out high-fidelity 6 degree-of-freedom(6-dOF) trajectory simulations for a set of relevant vignettes for the snipers, and to compare the direct fire 6-dOF simulation results with those obtained with the 4-dOF NATO Armaments Ballistic Kernel(NABK) adapted to simulate small-arm ammunition trajectories. To conduct this study, drdC Valcartier research Centre used BALCO v1.0b. This paper presents(1) the process and the methodology employed to carry out the sniper direct fire solution study,(2) the modeling and the simulation of the sniper projectile, the approach used in calculating the firing solutions, and the results of direct fire simulations for the sniper vignettes, and(3) an analysis of firing solutions obtained with the BALCO engine versus those of NABK. The work presented in this paper serves to validate the use of NABK for the new sniper ballistic computer.
