Distribution of licensed acupuncturists and educational institutions in the United States at the start of 2023,during the late stage of the COVID-19 pandemic

This study was conducted to identify the number and density of active licensed acupuncturists(LAcs),as well as the number of accredited schools in acupuncture and Oriental medicine(AOM),as of January 1,2023,in the United States(U.S.).The number of active LAcs as of January 1,2023 was 34,524,potentially33,364 after removing license duplication in multiple states,among which the largest three states were California(with 7317 LAcs[21.19%of the total]),New York(5024[14.55%])and Florida(2644[7.66%]).The total number of LAcs decreased by 8.87%from 2018,and fell short of our projected number of LAcs in 2023 by 9037,or 20.75%.The overall LAc density in the *** as the number of LAcs per 100,000 populationDwas 10.36,less than in *** were 56 active,accredited AOM schools which offered a total of 147 programs(121 at the level necessary for licensing[entry-level],12 for an advanced practicing degree[advanced-level],and 14 for certifications).Broken down further,offerings included 50 master's degrees in acupuncture,40 master's degrees in Oriental medicine,31 entry-level doctorate degrees(10 in acupuncture and 21 in acupuncture plus Chinese herbal medicine),and 12advanced-level doctorate degrees in *** certification programs included one in East-Asian medical Bodywork and 13 in *** these schools in 2023,institutions in the West and East Coast states comprised 67.86%(decreased from 77.42%in 2018)of the national ***,Florida and Illinois represented 39.29%.There were 48 jurisdictions with acupuncture practice laws in *** data suggests that the acupuncture profession in the *** been significantly impacted during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

As chronic antigenic stimulation from infection and autoimmunity is a feature of primary antibody deficiency(PAD),analysis of affected patients could yield insights into T-cell differentiation and explain how environmental exposures modify clinical phenotypes conferred by single-gene ***57 marks dysfunctional T cells that have differentiated after antigenic ***,while circulating CD57^(+)CD4^(+)T cells are normally rare,we found that they are increased in patients with PAD and markedly increased with CTLA4 haploinsufficiency or *** performed single-cell RNA-seq analysis of matched CD57^(+)CD4^(+)T cells from blood and tonsil *** CD57^(+)CD4^(+)T cells(CD4cyt)exhibited a cytotoxic transcriptome similar to that of CD8^(+)effector cells,could kill B cells,and inhibited B-cell ***4 restrained the formation of *** CD57 also marked an abundant subset of follicular helper T cells,which is consistent with their antigen-driven differentiation,this subset had a preexhaustion transcriptomic signature marked by TCF7,TOX,and ID3 expression and constitutive expression of CTLA4 and did not become cytotoxic even after CTLA4 ***,CD57^(+)CD4^(+)T-cell cytotoxicity and exhaustion phenotypes are compartmentalised between blood and germinal ***4 is a key modifier of CD4^(+)T-cell cytotoxicity,and the pathological CD4cyt phenotype is accentuated by infection.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is a devastating disease with a poor prognosis regardless of stage. To date the mainstay of therapy for advanced disease has been chemotherapy with little incremental im-provements in outcome. Despite extensive research investigating new treatment options the current practices continue to utilise fluorouracil or gemcitabine containing combinations. The need for novel the-rapeutic approaches is mandated by the ongoing poor survival rates associated with this disease. One such approach may include manipulation of ribosome biogenesis and the nucleolar stress response, which has recently been applied to haematological malignancies such as lymphoma and prostate cancer with promising results. This review will focus on the current therapeutic options for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and the complexities associated with developing novel treatments, with a particular emphasis on the role of the nucleolus as a treatment strategy.

Graphs are used in various disciplines such as telecommunication,biological networks,as well as social *** large-scale networks,it is challenging to detect the communities by learning the distinct properties of the *** deep learning hasmade contributions in a variety of domains,we try to use deep learning techniques to mine the knowledge from large-scale graph *** this paper,we aim to provide a strategy for detecting communities using deep autoencoders and obtain generic neural attention to *** advantages of neural attention are widely seen in the field of NLP and computer vision,which has low computational complexity for large-scale *** contributions of the paper are summarized as ***,a transformer is utilized to downsample the first-order proximities of the graph into a latent space,which can result in the structural properties and eventually assist in detecting the ***,the fine-tuning task is conducted by tuning variant hyperparameters cautiously,which is applied to multiple social networks(Facebook and Twitch).Furthermore,the objective function(crossentropy)is tuned by L0 ***,the reconstructed model forms communities that present the relationship between the *** proposed robust model provides good generalization and is applicable to obtaining not only the community structures in social networks but also the node *** proposed graph-transformer shows advanced performance on the social networks with the average NMIs of 0.67±0.04,0.198±0.02,0.228±0.02,and 0.68±0.03 on Wikipedia crocodiles,Github Developers,Twitch England,and Facebook Page-Page networks,respectively.

Rational design and synthesis of catalytically active two-dimensional(2D) materials with an abundance of atomically precise active sites in their basal planes remains a great ***,we report a ligand exchange strategy to exfoliate bulk [Cu4(OH)6] [O3S(CH2)4SO3] cuprate crystals into atomically thin 2D cuprate layers([Cu2(OH)3]+).The basal plane of 2D cuprate layers contains periodic arrays of accessible unsaturated Cu(Ⅱ) single sites(2D-CuSSs),which are found to promote efficient oxidative Chan-Lam *** me chanistic studies reveal that the reactions proceed via coordinatively unsaturated CuO4(Ⅰ) single sites with the formation of Cu(Ⅰ) species in the rate-limiting step,as corroborated by both operando experimental and theoretical *** robust stability of 2D-CuSSs in both batch and continuous flow reactions,coupled with their recyclability and good performance in complex molecule derivatization,render 2D-CuSSs attractive catalyst candidates for broad utility in fine chemical synthesis.

Purpose:The study aimed to describe youth time-use compositions,focusing on time spent in shorter and longer bouts of sedentary behavior and physical activity(PA),and to examine associations of these time-use compositions with cardiometabolic ***:Accelerometer and cardiometabolic biomarker data from 2 Australian studies involving youths 7-13 years old were pooled(complete cases with accelerometry and adiposity marker data,n=782).A 9-component time-use composition was formed using compositional data analysis:time in shorter and longer bouts of sedentary behavior;time in shorter and longer bouts of light-,moderate-,or vigorous-intensity PA;and"other time"(i.e.,non-wear/sleep).Shorter and longer bouts of sedentary time were defined as5 min,*** bouts of light-,moderate-,and vigorous-intensity PA were defined as<1 min;longer bouts were defined as≥1 *** models examined associations between overall time-use composition and cardiometabolic ***,associations were derived between ratios of longer activity patterns relative to shorter activity patterns,and of each intensity level relative to the other intensity levels and"other time",and cardiometabolic ***:Confounder-adjusted models showed that the overall time-use composition was associated with adiposity,blood pressure,lipids,and the summary ***,more time in longer bouts of light-intensity PA relative to shorter bouts of light-intensity PA was significantly associated with greater body mass index z-score(zBMI)(β=1.79;SE=0.68)and waist circumference(β=18.35,SE=4.78).When each activity intensity was considered relative to all higher intensities and"other time",more time in light-and vigorous-intensity PA,and less time in sedentary behavior and moderate-intensity PA,were associated with lower waist ***:Accumulating PA,particularly light-intensity PA,in frequent short bursts may be more beneficial for limiting adi

Systematics of the Artiodactyla of China in the 21st century

In this paper, I have introduced the concept of the Evolutionary Species, and shown how it affects the taxonomy of the Artiodactyla of China. The ＂traditional＂ taxonomy of the Artiodactyla, which has remained almost unchanged for 100 years, relies on ill-formulated notions of species and subspecies, only slightly modified by the population-thinking of the 1930s. Species are populations （or metapopu- lations） differentiated by the possession of fixed heritable differences from other such populations （or metapopulations）. In the Artiodactyla, there are many more species than ＂traditionally＂ recognised; this is by no means a drawback, as it enables the units of biodiversity to be identified in a testable fashion, and brings the taxonomy of large mammals into line with that long practised for small mammals. Species are likely to differentiate where there are natural gaps in the distribution of a genus, such as mountain blocks （for example in the genus Budorcas） or otherwise dissected habitat （for example in the genus Cervus）. Natural hybridisation between distinct species is not an uncommon phenomenon, again illustrated well in the genus Cervus, where hybridisation between the elaphus and nippon groups occurs today and evidently occurred in the past, as shown by the distribution of mtDNA.

Research and Reflections on Zhang Taiyan

Historians generally describe Zhang Taiyan 章太炎（Binglin 炳麟, 1869-1936） as an anti-Manchu revolutionary and treat his Buddhism as subordinate to this larger political project. Far less commonly understood is Zhang＇s role in preparing the groundwork for the establishment of Chinese philosophy as an academic discipline. Against the backdrop of an intellectual climate in Japan and China during the decades either side of 1900, in which a premium had come to be placed on logic as a precondition for the development of philosophy, Zhang was one of the first Chinese intellectuals to follow the lead of Japanese scholars in maintaining that classical Chinese philosophers had developed indigenous forms of logic. Significantly, he further argued that Chinese versions ofYogac^ratexts on Buddhist logic and epistemology （yinming ~t~; Skt. hetu-vidya） made it possible once again to gain a proper understanding of China＇s earliest writings on logic. In this paper I argue that Zhang sought to establish that early Chinese texts ＂bear witness＂ to insights into realities that transcend individual cultures but are most fully and systematically articulated in ~og^c^ra systems of learning; and that classical Chinese philosopher-sages had attained an awareness of the highest truths, evidence of which can be found in their writings. In short, I will show that Zhang used Yogac^ra to affirm the value of ＂Chinese philosophy＂ and, in doing so, helped shape its early definition.
