Background:One of the pathological hallmarks distinguishing Alzheimer’s disease from other dementias is the accumulation of amyloid beta(Aβ).Higher physical activity is associated with decreased dementia risk,and one potential path could be through Aβlevels *** aimed to explore the relationship between physical activity and Aβin middle-aged and older ***:A systematic search of PubMed,Web of Science,PsyciNFO,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,and SPORTDiscus was performed from inception to April 28,*** were eligible if they included physical activity and Aβdata in adults aged 45 years or ***-level metaanalyses of intervention and observational studies were performed to examine the role of physical activity in modulating Aβ***:in total,37 articles were included(8 randomized controlled trials,3 non-randomized controlled trials,4 prospective longitudinal studies,and 22 cross-sectional studies).The overall effect size of physical activity interventions on changes in blood Aβwas medium(pooled standardized mean difference=-0.69,95%confidence interval(95%Ci):-1.41 to 0.03;i^(2)=74.6%).However,these results were not statistically significant,and there were not enough studies to explore the effects of physical activity on cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)and brain Aβ.data from observational studies were examined based on measurements of Aβin the brain using positron emission tomography scans,CSF,and *** physical activity was positively associated with Aβonly in the CSF(Estimate r=0.12;95%Ci:0.05-0.18;i^(2)=38.00%).Conclusion:Physical activity might moderately reduce blood Aβin middle-aged and older ***,results were only near statistical significance and might be interpreted with caution given the methodological limitations observed in some of the included *** observational studies,higher levels of physical activity were positively associated with Aβonly in ***,further research is needed t

Emergency services and utilities need appropriate planning tools to analyze and improve infrastructure and community resilience to *** as a key metric of community resilience is the social well-being of a community during a disaster,which is made up of mental and physical social *** factors influencing community resilience directly or indirectly are emotional health,emergency services,and the availability of critical infrastructures services,such as food,agriculture,water,transportation,electric power,and communications *** turns out that in computational social science literature dealing with community resilience,the role of these critical infrastructures along with some important social characteristics is not *** address these weaknesses,we develop a new multi-agent based stochastic dynamical model,standardized by overview,design concepts,details,and decision(ODD+D)protocol and derived from neuro-science,psychological and social sciences,to measure community resilience in terms of mental and physical *** this model,we analyze the micro-macro level dependence between the emergency services and power systems and social characteristics such as fear,risk perception,informationseeking behaviour,cooperation,flexibility,empathy,and experience,in an artificial ***,we simulate this model in two case studies and show that a high level of flexibility,experience,and cooperation enhances community *** for both theory and practice are discussed.

introduction: Urogenital prolapse is the descent of one or more elements of the abdominal-pelvic contents into the vaginal cavity. The anterior, middle and posterior anatomical compartments may be involved giving rise to several types of genital prolapse. However, there are various therapeutic modalities ranging from observational procedures to surgery. in Yaounde, urogenital prolapse appears to be a rare clinical entity, and its treatment has not been clearly stated. There is limited data about this subject in our context. Our aim was to study the clinical and therapeutic aspects of urogenital prolapse in Yaounde. Methods: We conducted a descriptive cross-sectional study with retrospective data collection at the Yaounde Gynaecological Obstetric and Pediatric Hospital (YGOPH) and the Yaounde Central Hospital (YCH) over a period of 05 months (from February 2022 to June 2022). All women aged ≥30 years and all women with documented urogenital prolapse admitted to the maternity and urology departments of these two health facilities were included. data were collected using a structured questionnaire. data was analyzed using iBM SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) software version 23.0 and the data were reported as mean, standard deviation, frequencies and percentages. Results: A total of 50 patients were recruited;the mean age was 45.8 ± 17 years. The age range was from 21 to 72 years. Majority of the patients were aged more than 55 years (32%). Most of the patients attended primary education (48%). Forty percent of the patients were housewives. The majority of the patients were from West Cameroon (26%). The most common reason for consultation was pelvic heaviness (54%). The most prevalent clinical sign was cystocele (56%), followed by hysterocele (54%). According to the Baden Walker classification, one-third of the patients were classified as first degree (36%). More than half (58%) of patients had the condition located at the first stage. Most studies on influence maximization focus on one-shot propagation, i.e., the influence is propagated from seed users only once following a probabilistic diffusion model and users’ activation are determined via single cascade. in reality it is often the case that a user needs to be cumulatively impacted by receiving enough pieces of information propagated to her before she makes the final purchase decision. in this paper we model such cumulative activation as the following process: first multiple pieces of information are propagated independently in the social network following the classical independent cascade model, then the user will be activated(and adopt the product) if the cumulative pieces of information she received reaches her cumulative activation threshold. Two optimization problems are investigated under this framework: seed minimization with cumulative activation(SM-CA), which asks how to select a seed set with minimum size such that the number of cumulatively active nodes reaches a given requirement η; influence maximization with cumulative activation(iM-CA), which asks how to choose a seed set with fixed budget to maximize the number of cumulatively active nodes. For SM-CA problem, we design a greedy algorithm that yields a bicriteria O(ln n)-approximation when η = n, where n is the number of nodes in the network. For both SM-CA problem with η iM-CA problem, we prove strong inapproximability results. Despite the hardness results, we propose two efficient heuristic algorithms for SM-CA and iM-CA respectively based on the reverse reachable set approach. Experimental results on different real-world social networks show that our algorithms significantly outperform baseline algorithms.

The performance optimization of database systems has been widely studied for years. From the perspective of the operation and maintenance personnel, it mainly includes three topics: prediction, diagnosis,and tuning. The prediction of future performance can guide the adjustment of configurations and *** diagnosis of anomalies can determine the root cause of performance regression. Tuning operations improve performance by adjusting influencing factors, e.g., knobs, indexes, views, resources, and structured query language(SQL) design. in this review, we focus on the performance optimization of database systems and review notable research work on the topics of prediction, diagnosis, and tuning. For prediction, we summarize the techniques, strengths, and limitations of several proposed systems for single and concurrent queries. For diagnosis, we categorize the techniques by the input data, i.e., monitoring metrics, logs, or time metrics, and analyze their abilities. For tuning, we focus on the approaches commonly adopted by the operation and maintenance personnel, i.e., knob tuning, index selection, view materialization, elastic resource, storage management, and SQL antipattern detection. Finally, we discuss some challenges and future work.
