Recreational Ecosystem Services(RES)are among the most frequently evaluated ecosystem *** are seen as a major opportunity for sustainable development in areas of high ecological value resulting from the presence of emblematic species,habitats or scenery,often integrated in conservation areas,in particular in mountain areas affected by depopulation,rising environmental risks and ***,the assessment of RES has been based on Contingent Valuation and Choice Experiments,methods with limitations related to their ***,input-Output(iO)models provide a very accurate and effective way of valuation of RES with regional information regarding interindustry *** data on nature tourist expenditure may be only available annually,tourism inflows have a strong seasonal behavior,which impacts the profitability of several local economic *** this paper,we firstly constructed a novel regionalized iO-model based on Cross-industry Location Quotients using employment data and,secondly,based on Monte Carlo simulation,we estimated nature tourist expenditure monthly using data on nature tourism *** method allowed for a more precise RES evaluation,estimating direct,indirect and induced monthly economic impacts of nature-based *** method was applied to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido(OMP)National Park in the Spanish *** estimate the average tourist expenditure,we collected and analyzed spending on commerce,hospitality and restaurants,leisure,and transport of 385 *** suggest that using a regionalized iO model leads to a considerable reduction of over-estimation of the economic impact of tourist expenditure estimated by conventional *** into consideration the direct,indirect and induced effects of tourist expenditure in 2016-2018,the total annual output effect in the OMP National Park amounted to€208.8 million,while the total income effect amounted to€86.29 ***,a total of

Chemical synthesis of a structural gene coding for trichosanthin

A structural gene (750 bp), which codes for a type i ribosome inactivating protein, trichosanthin, has been designed according to the codon usage of highly expressed gene in E. coli and chemically synthesized. in the synthesized gene, twenty-seven unique restriction sites were evenly dispersed with an average distance between two adjacent sites less than 50 bp to facilitate a systematic investigation on structure-functional relationship of this protein by site-directed mutagenesis. To synthesize it, the whole gene was divided into three large fragments (EP, PN and NH) which were assembled from several chemical synthetic oligonucleotides by enzymatic method. The assembly of both the fragment EP from six oligonucleotides (A-F) and the fragment PN from four oligomers (G-J) was catalyzed by T-4 DNA ligase in using the single stranded DNA method [Chen, H.-B. et al., Nucl. Acids Res., 18, 871(1990)]. And fragment NH was formed from three duplexes K, L and M by the classical double stranded DNA method. Finally, each fragment was cloned into vector pUC18 in succession to form the plasmid, pC0TCS, to complete the whole gene synthesis, The sequencing data for the synthetic gene coincides with the designed one.

Complications of modern pancreaticoduodenectomy:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Background:in the past decades,the perioperative management of patients undergoing pancreaticoduo-denectomy(PD)has undergone major changes *** review aimed to systematically determine the burden of complications of PD performed in the last 10 *** sources:A systematic review was conducted in PubMed for randomized controlled trials and ob-servational studies reporting postoperative complications in at least 100 PDs from January 2010 to April *** of bias was assessed using the Cochrane RoB2 tool for randomized studies and the method-ological index for non-randomized studies(MiNORS).Pooled complication rates were estimated using random-effects *** was investigated by subgroup analysis and ***:A total of 20 randomized and 49 observational studies reporting 63229 PDs were *** MiNORS score showed a high risk of bias in non-randomized studies,while one quarter of the ran-domized studies were assessed to have high risk of *** incidences of 30-day mortality,overall complications and serious complications were 1.7%(95%Ci:0.9%-2.9%;i 2=95.4%),54.7%(95%Ci:46.4%-62.8%;i 2=99.4%)and 25.5%(95%Ci:21.8%-29.4%;i 2=92.9%),***-relevant postopera-tive pancreatic fistula risk was 14.3%(95%Ci:12.4%-16.3%;i 2=92.0%)and mean length of stay was 14.8 days(95%Ci:13.6-16.1;i 2=99.3%).Meta-regression partially attributed the observed heterogeneity to the country of origin of the study,the study design and the American Society of Anesthesiologists ***:Pooled complication rates estimated in this study may be used to counsel patients scheduled to undergo a PD and to set benchmarks against which centers can audit their ***,cautious interpretation is necessary due to substantial heterogeneity.

Detecting Dynamics of Hot Topics with Alluvial Diagrams:A Timeline Visualization

Purpose： in this paper, we combined the method of co-word analysis and alluvial diagram to detect hot topics and illustrate their dynamics. Design/methodology/approach： Articles in the field of scientometrics were chosen as research cases in this study. A time-sliced co-word network was generated and then clustered. Afterwards, we generated an alluvial diagram to show dynamic changes of hot topics, including their merges and splits over time. Findings： After analyzing the dynamic changes in the field of scientometrics from 2011 to 2015, we found that two clusters being merged did not mean that the old topics had disappeared and a totally new one had emerged. The topics were possibly still active the following year, but the newer topics had drawn more attention. The changes of hot topics reflected the shift in researchers＇ interests. subdivided and re-merged. For example, several topics as research progressed. Research topics in scientometrics were constantly a cluster involving ＂industry＂ was divided into Research limitations： When examining longer time periods, we encounter the problem of dealing with bigger data sets. Analyzing data year by year would be tedious, but if we combine, e.g. two years into one time slice, important details would be missed. Practical implications： This method can be applied to any research field to illustrate the dynamics of hot topics. it can indicate the promising directions for researchers and provide guidance to decision makers. Originality/value： The use of alluvial diagrams is a distinctive and meaningful approach to detecting hot topics and especially to illustrating their dynamics.

Superconducting State Parameters of NbxTayMoz Superconductors

We present screening dependence theoretical investigations of the superconducting state parameters, i.e. electron-phonon coupling strength λ, Coulomb pseudopotential μ＊, transition temperature TC, isotope effect exponent α, and effective interaction strength N0V, of some BMG superconductors, namely Nb0.45Ta0.45Mo0.10, Nb0.30Ta0.40Mo0.30, Nb0.40Ta0.30Mo0.30, Nb0.30Ta0.30Mo0.40 and Nb0.15Ta0.15Mo0.70 by employing the well-known empty core model potential of Ashcroft for the first time. Five local field correction functions proposed by Hartree, Taylor, ichimaru-Utsumi, Farid et al. and Sarkar et al. are used in the present investigation to study the screening influence on the aforesaid superconducting properties. The transition temperature TC obtained from the H-local field correction function is found to be in an excellent agreement with the available theoretical data. Also, the present results are found to be in qualitative agreement with other such earlier reported data, which confirms the superconducting phase in the superconductors.

Association of polymorphisms in the vascular endothelial growth factor gene and its serum levels with diabetic retinopathy in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes： A cross-sectional study

Background Vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） is a major mediator of angiogenesis,and plays a key role in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy （DR）.This study was designed to identify the possible role of VEGF gene polymorphisms in the development of DR in type 2 diabetic patients in Chinese and clarify the relationship between VEGF serum levels and the risk of *** This cross-sectional study included 1 040 Chinese subjects with type 2 diabetes *** were 372 patients diagnosed with DR in the case group and 668 patients without DR in the control *** from each patient was analyzed for VEGF polymorphisms of-2578A/C （rs699947）,-1154G/A （rs1570360）,-460C/T （rs833061）,＋405C/G （rs2010963）,and ＋936C/T （rs3025039） using MassARRAY compact *** VEGF serum levels were quantified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELiSA）.Results No evidence of association was observed between-2578 A/C （rs699947）,＋405C/G （rs2010963）,＋936C/T （rs3025039）,and DR risk under stringent Bonferroni＆#39;s ***,VEGF serum levels were significantly higher in DR patients than those of control *** genetic variation of VEGF polymorphisms influenced VEGF serum levels; subjects carrying the VEGF-2578 C/C （rs699947） genotype had greater VEGF serum levels than those carrying the C/A genotype and VEGF serum levels were significantly higher in CC genotype of the ＋405C/G （rs2010963） compared with those of the other *** The data did not suggest significant association between the VEGF polymorphisms and DR risk under stringent Bonferroni＆#39;s ***,our study indicated that DR patients have higher VEGF levels than diabetic patients without retinopathy,and-2578A/C （rs699947） and ＋405C/G （rs2010963） may be important factors in determining serum VEGF levels.
