The efficien. copolymeriza.ion.of olefin.with pola. mon.mers usin. n.ckel-ba.ed ca.a.ysts presen.s a.lon.sta.din. cha.len.e. In.this con.ribution. three phosphin.-ben.ocyclon. liga.ds a.d correspon.in. n.utra. n.ckel ca.a.ysts(n.1: a. = Ph;n.2: a. = 2-(C_(6)H_(5))C_(6)H_(4);n.3: a. = 2-[2',6'-(Me O)_(2)-C_(6)H3]C_(6)H_(4)) were prepa.ed a.d a.plied for the ethylen. polymeriza.ion.a.d copolymeriza.ion.with pola. mon.mers without a.y coca.a.yst. The bulky substituen. groups in.complexes n.2 a.d n.3 con.ributed to high ca.a.ytic a.tivities(up to 7.24×10^(6) a.d 9.04×10^(6)g·mol n.^(-1)·h^(-1), respectively), a.d produced high-molecula.-weight polyethylen.(Mw up to 545.7 k Da.. Complex n.3 exhibited high a.tivities for ethylen. polymeriza.ion.a. the level of 10^(6) g·mol n.^(-1)·h^(-1) a.ross a.wide ra.ge from 30 ℃ to 120 ℃, exhibitin. excellen. high tempera.ure tolera.ce. These n.ckel complexes were a.so effectively employed in.the copolymeriza.ion.of ethylen. with methyl a.ryla.e, ethyl a.ryla.e, butyl a.ryla.e a.d la.ryl a.ryla.e, producin. copolymers with high molecula. weights(Mw up to 80.5 k Da. a.d high pola. mon.mer in.orpora.ion.up to 8.2 mol%). Microstructure a.a.yses revea.ed tha. the in.roduction.of la.ge sterica.ly hin.ered substituen.s fa.ilita.ed the in.orpora.ion.of pola. fun.tion.0} un.ts in.o the polymer ba.kbon..
