Supercritical extracts of forest fuels in Great Xing＇an Mountains

Extracts are important components of fuels. Fatty-extracts with high heating value （HV） are hypothe- sized by researchers as positively related to the HV of fuels. The Soxhlet extractor is typically used to extract fatty-extracts but it has shortcomings, including long processing time （8-10 h） and the requirement for large amounts of organic solvent. Supercritical extraction is an alternate and useful technique for extraction of natural products. However, published studies rarely discuss the relationship between extracts and HV. In this study, we assessed the supercritical extracts （SUE） of forest fuels in the Great Xing＇an Mountains. Our results indicated that the optimum conditions for extraction of SuEs were 40-60 mesh, 40-50 MPa, 45℃, 80 min and a CO2 flow rate of 1.5-2.0 dm3/min. The Soxhlet extracts contents and the SuE contents were all related to HV. However, R2 of the coniferous samples （0.8499） and needle samples （0.9722） demonstrated that the correlation between HV and the SuE content was closer. We conclude that supercritical fatty-extracts provide a useful index of the HV of fuels, especially coniferous fuels. SuE data can be used in fire management, for example to estimate the rate of fire spread or fire intensity.

Background: Heat stroke(HS) is a serious, life-threatening disease. However, there is no scoring system for HS so far. This research is to establish a scoring system that can quantitatively assess the severity of exertional heat stroke(EHS).Methods: Data were collected from a total of 170 exertional heat stroke(EHS) patients between 2005 and 2016 from 52 hospitals in China. Univariate statistical methods and comparison of the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve(AUC) were used to screen exertional heat stroke score(EHSS) parameters, including but not limited body temperature(T), Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS) and others. By comparing the sizes of the AUCs of the APACHE II, SOFA and EHSS assessments, the effectiveness of EHSS in evaluating the prognosis of EHS patients was ***: Through screening with a series of methods, as described above, the present study determined 12 parameters – body temperature(T), GCS, p H, lactate(Lac), platelet count(PLT), prothrombin time(PT), fibrinogen(Fib), troponin I(Tn I), aspartate aminotransferase(AST), total bilirubin(TBIL), creatinine(Cr) and acute gastrointestinal injury(AGI) classification – as EHSS parameters. It is a 0–47 point system designed to reflect increasing severity of heat stroke. Low(EHSS35) showed 100% survival and 100% mortality, respectively. We found that AUCEHSS>AUCSOFA>AUCAPACHE ***: A total of 12 parameters – T, GCS, p H, Lac, PLT, PT, Fib, Tn I, AST, TBIL, Cr and gastrointestinal AGI classification – are the EHSS parameters with the best effectiveness in evaluating the prognosis of EHS patients. As EHSS score increases, the mortality rate of EHS patients gradually increases.

In the present study,we prepared nattokinase-loaded self-double-emulsifying drug delivery system(SDEDDS)and investigated its preliminary *** type and concentration of oil phase,inner aqueous phase and emulsifier were screened to prepare optimum nattokinase-loaded ***,the optimum formulations were characterized based on microstructure,volume-weighted mean droplet size,self-emulsifying rate,yield,storage stability,in vitro release and in vivo pharmacodynamics *** water/oil/watermultiple emulsions exhibited typicalmultiple structure,with relatively small volumeweighted mean droplet size 6.0±0.7μm and high self-emulsifying ability(self-emulsifying time<2 min).Encapsulation of nattokinase was up to 86.8±8.2%.The cumulative release of nattokinase within 8 h was about 30%,exhibiting a sustained release *** pharmacodynamics study indicated that nattokinase-loaded SDEDDS could significantly prolong the whole blood clotting time in mouse and effectively improve the carrageenan-induced tail thrombosis compared with nattokinase ***,we showed that SDEDDS could successfully self-emulsify into water/oil/water multiple emulsions upon dilution in dispersion medium with gentle stirring and effectively protect nattokinase activity in gastric *** findings suggested that SDEDDS could be a promising strategy for peptide and protein drugs by oral administration.

The increasing rate of private car usage in the urban areas as a result of fast-growing economy,derelict policies and subsidies are the main causes making car parking one of the main concerns for transport and traffic management all over the *** coordination between parking policies and traffic management revealed how parking is becoming a barrier to the through-traffic ***,it is responsible for the inefficient use of available resources,even the decisions are made on an ad-hoc basis while making ***,it is necessary to understand the parking choice behaviour and actual demand of parking *** the last three decades,ample studies have been done to evaluate parking characteristics,to estimate the demand for parking and on driver’s behaviour while choosing the parking *** paper integrates all these aspects and presents the state-of-the-art review of models and studies on the parking *** related to and due to the parking,various parking characteristics and their applications,parking choice behaviour of drivers,development of demand models considering various factors and review of parking policies as an integral part of the urban transport system are discussed in *** underdeveloped,authors found the literatures suggest that greater attention should be given to metrics like ease of access,walk time,parking charges,parking guidance and information system,management,etc.,at all stages of planning and policy *** together,mentioned studies demonstrate useful information concerning the entire parking *** also provides useful information to the planners and policy makers for planning,designing and evaluating parking system.
