Two-dimensional investigation of characteristic parameters and their gradients for the self-generated electric and magnetic fields of laser-induced zirconium plasma

Two-dimensional diagnosis of laser-induced zirconium(Zr)plasma has been experimentally performed using the time-of-flight method by employing Faraday cups in addition to electric and magnetic *** characteristic parameters of laser-induced Zr plasma have been evaluated as a function of different laser irradiances ranging from 4.5 to 11.7 GW cm-2 at different axial positions of 1–4.cm with a fixed radial distance of 2 cm.A well-supporting correlation between the plume parameters and the laser-plasma-produced spontaneous electric and magnetic(E and B)fields was *** measurements of the characteristic parameters and spontaneously induced fields were observed to have an increasing trend with the increasing laser ***,when increasing the spatial distance in both the axial and radial directions,the plasma parameters(electron/ion number density,temperature and kinetic energy)did not show either continuously increasing or decreasing trends due to various kinetic and dynamic processes during the spatial evolution of the ***,the E and B fields were observed to be always diffusing away from the *** radial component of electron number densities remained higher than the axial number density component,whereas the axial ion number density at all laser irradiances and axial distances remained higher than the radial ion number *** higher axial self-generated electric field(SGEF)values than radial SGEF values are correlated with the effective charge-separation mechanism of electrons and *** generation of a self-generated magnetic field is observed dominantly in the radial direction at increasing laser irradiance as compared to the axial one due to the deflection of fast-moving electrons and the persistence of two-electron temperature on the radial axis.

Long-Cycle Lithium Batteries with LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2) Cathodes above 4.5 V Enabled by Uniform Coating of Nanosized Garnet Electrolytes

The pursuit of high-energy cathode materials has been focused on raising the charging cutoff voltage of nickel (Ni)-rich layered oxide cathode such as LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O2 (NCM811). However, the NCM811 suffers from rapid capacity fading upon cycling at cutoff voltage higher than 4.5 V, owing to their structural degradation and labile surface reactivity. Surface-coating with solid electrolytes has been recognized as an effective method to mitigate the performance failure of NCM811 at high voltage. Herein, the nano-sized Li_(6.4.La_(3)Ta_(0.6)Zr_(1.4.O_(12) (LLZTO) is uniformly coated on the surface of single-crystal NCM811 particles, accompanied with the long-range Ta^(5+) diffusion into the transition metal layer of NCM811 lattice. It is revealed that the LLZTO coating can not only inhibit the surface reactions of NCM811 with liquid electrolytes but also play an important role in suppressing the bulk microcracking within the NCM811 particles. The incorporation of Ta^(5+) ion expands the lattice spacing and thereby improves the homogeneity of the Li^(+) diffusion in the single-crystal NCM811, which alleviates the mechanical strain and intragranular cracks caused by nonuniform phases-transformation at high charging voltage. The synergy of surface protection and structural stabilization realized by LLZTO coating enables the NCM811-based lithium batteries to achieve a remarkable electrochemical performance. Typically, LLZTO coated NCM811 delivers a high reversible specific capacity of 202.1 mAh⋅g^(−1) with an excellent capacity retention as high as 70% over 1000 cycles upon charging to 4.5 V at 1 C.

Observational appearances of hairy black holes in the framework of gravitational decoupling

We investigate the observational appearance of static and spherically symmetric hairy black holes in the framework of gravitational decoupling with the weak energy condition(WEC). Two types of thin illumination conditions are studied: spherical accretion and disk accretion. As the hairy parameter increases, the size of the photon sphere and photon rings in both models decreases, and the overall luminosity attenuation becomes more pronounced. In spherical accretion, the luminosity of infalling accretion is significantly lower than that of stationary accretion. In disk accretion the luminosity of the black hole is contributed by direct emission, the lensing ring and the photon ring. Employing four types of astrophysical disk luminosity model,we investigate the appearance of halos and note that their luminosities do not superimpose when the source is on or beyond the innermost stable circular orbit.

Distinguishing the observational signatures of hot spots orbiting Reissner-Nordström spacetime

This paper investigates observable signatures of hot spots orbiting Reissner-Nordström(RN)black holes and naked *** an RN black hole,we find two discernible lensing image tracks in time integrated images,capturing a complete orbit of hot spots and a image shadow within the critical curve where photons with a small impact parameter fall into the event ***,in RN singularities,additional image tracks can be found within the critical curve,originating from photons reflected by the infinitely high effective potential ***,we find incomplete and converging tracks from the time integrated images of hot spot orbiting RN singularities that have no photon *** presence of these additional image tracks significantly influences temporal magnitudes at their local maxima,enabling us to differentiate between RN black holes and RN naked singularities.

Cr-induced fusion reactions to synthesize superheavy elements

We investigated ^(50,52-54.Cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104.Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54.Cr projectiles were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 4.fb at 236 MeV for ^(53)Cr+^(24.)Am,23.2 fb at 236 MeV for ^(54.Cr+^(24.)Cm,95.6 fb at 24. MeV for ^(53)Cr+24.Bk,and 1.33 fb at 24. MeV for ^(53)Cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future Cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

First-principles study of structural and electronic properties of multiferroic oxide Mn_(3)TeO_(6) under high pressure

Mn_(3)TeO_(6)(MTO) has been experimentally found to adopt a P2_(1)/In structure under high pressure,which exhibits a significantly smaller band gap compared to the atmospheric R3 *** this study,we systematically investigate the magnetism,structural phase transition,and electronic properties of MTO under high pressure through first-principles *** R3 and P2_(1)/n phases of MTO are antiferromagnetic at zero *** R3 phase transforms to the P2_(1)/n phase at 7.5 8 GPa,accompanied by a considerable volume collapse of about 6.4.%.Employing the accurate method that combines DFT+U/and GW,the calculated band gap of R3 phase at zero pressure is very close to the experimental values,while that of the P2_(1)/n phase is significantly *** main reason for this difference is that the experimental study incorrectly used the Kubelka-Munk plot for the indirect band gap to obtain the band gap of the P2_(1)/n phase instead of the Kubelka-Munk plot for the direct band ***,our study reveals that the transition from the R3 phase to the P2_(1)/n phase is accompanied by a slight reduction in the band gap.

Kármán vortex street in a spin–orbit-coupled Bose–Einstein condensate with PT symmetry

The dynamics of spin–orbit-coupled Bose–Einstein condensate with parity-time symmetry through a moving obstacle potential is simulated numerically. In the miscible two-component condensate, the formation of the Kármán vortex street is observed in one component, while ‘the half-quantum vortex street' is observed in the other component. Other patterns of vortex shedding, such as oblique vortex dipoles, V-shaped vortex pairs, irregular turbulence, and combined modes of various wakes, can also be found. The ratio of inter-vortex spacing in one row to the distance between vortex rows is approximately0.18, which is less than the stability condition 0.28 of classical fluid. The drag force acting on the obstacle potential is simulated. The parametric regions of Kármán vortex street and other vortex patterns are calculated. The range of Kármán vortex street is surrounded by the region of combined modes. In addition, spin–orbit coupling disrupts the symmetry of the system and the gain-loss affects the local particle distribution of the system, which leads to the local symmetry breaking of the system, and finally influences the stability of the Kármán vortex street. Finally, we propose an experimental protocol to realize the Kármán vortex street in a system.

Black hole evaporation and its remnants with the generalized uncertainty principle including a linear term

In recent years,researchers have investigated the evaporation of Schwarzschild black holes using various forms of the generalized uncertainty principle(GUP),metric quantum correction,and noncommutative geometry,***,there are differences between the GUP correction and the other two methods in terms of describing the later stages of black hole ***,some studies argue that the GUP with a negative parameter cannot effectively correct black hole evaporation,while others contend that the positivity or negativity of the GUP parameters should not affect the correction *** the above into consideration,we reconsider black hole evaporation with the generalized uncertainty principle including a linear term(LGUP),and examine the case of negative *** results indicate that the evaporation behavior of both Schwarzschild black holes and Reissner–Nordstr?m black holes,under LGUP correction,is consistent with the results of metric quantum correction and non-commutative ***,the negative parameter LGUP can also effectively correct for black hole evaporation.
