Probabilistic analysis of tunnel face seismic stability in layered rock masses using Polynomial Chaos Kriging metamodel

Face stability is an essential issue in tunnel design and *** rock masses are typical and ubiquitous;uncertainties in rock properties always *** view of this,a comprehensive method,which combines the Upper bound Limit analysis of Tunnel face stability,the Polynomial Chaos Kriging,the Monte-Carlo Simulation and Analysis of Covariance method(ULT-PCK-MA),is proposed to investigate the seismic stability of tunnel faces.A two-dimensional analytical model of ULT is developed to evaluate the virtual support force based on the upper bound limit *** efficient probabilistic analysis method PCK-MA based on the adaptive Polynomial Chaos Kriging metamodel is then implemented to investigate the parameter uncertainty *** input parameters,including geological strength indices,uniaxial compressive strengths and constants for three rock formations,and the horizontal seismic coefficients,are treated as random *** effects of these parameter uncertainties on the failure probability and sensitivity indices are *** addition,the effects of weak layer position,the middle layer thickness and quality,the tunnel diameter,the parameters correlation,and the seismic loadings are investigated,*** results show that the layer distributions significantly influence the tunnel face probabilistic stability,particularly when the weak rock is present in the bottom *** efficiency of the proposed ULT-PCK-MA is validated,which is expected to facilitate the engineering design and construction.

In recent years,frequent network attacks have highlighted the importance of efficient detection methods for ensuring cyberspace *** paper presents a novel intrusion detection system consisting of a data prepro-cessing stage and a deep learning model for accurately identifying network *** have proposed four deep neural network models,which are constructed using architectures such as Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN),Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM),Bidirectional Gate Recurrent Unit(BiGRU),and Attention *** models have been evaluated for their detection performance on the NSL-KDD *** enhance the compatibility between the data and the models,we apply various preprocessing techniques and employ the particle swarm optimization algorithm to perform feature selection on the NSL-KDD dataset,resulting in an optimized feature ***,we address class imbalance in the dataset using focal ***,we employ the BO-TPE algorithm to optimize the hyperparameters of the four models,maximizing their detection *** test results demonstrate that the proposed model is capable of extracting the spatiotemporal features of network traffic data *** binary and multiclass experiments,it achieved accuracy rates of 0.999158 and 0.999091,respectively,surpassing other state-of-the-art methods.

A new portable open-path instrument for ambient NH_(3) and on-road emission measurements

Increased attentions to vehicle emission of NH_(3)have been paid since it is generally regarded as an important source in urban ***,we developed a movable instrument based on Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy(DOAS)principle for detecting on-road NH_(3),which can avoid the losses in the sampling process attributed to the non-sampling *** this mobile DOAS,the temporal resolution,detection limit and relative error for NH_(3)were 1 min,2.29 ppbv and 4.57%±2.44%,*** employed to the on-road measurements along the arterial highway in Shanghai,the spatial distributions of NH_(3)and NO were obtained,and their dependence of traffic and road conditions were *** slopes of linear regression between NH_(3)and NO were 0.40,0.02 and 0.07 on the Middle Ring Road,Outer Ring Road and Chongming Island Ring *** indicates that light gasoline vehicles(LGVs)were found to be the main contributor to NH_(3)emissions,while heavy-duty diesel vehicles(HDVs)mainly emitted *** on the measured NH_(3)in the tunnel,the mileagebased NH_(3)emission factor per vehicle was estimated to be 17.9±6.3 mg/*** reported open-path instrument can be broadly used in on-road pollutant monitoring or vehicle emissions,and the measurements can reveal the real situation of emission characteristics,even find the abnormal operations of vehicle catalyst system.

Wind power prediction interval(WPPI)models in the literature have predominantly been developed for and tested on specific case ***,wind behavior and characteristics can vary significantly across ***,a prediction model that performs well in one case might underperform in *** address this shortcoming,this paper proposes an ensemble WPPI framework that integrates multiple WPPI models with distinct characteristics to improve *** important and often overlooked factor is the role of probabilistic wind power prediction(WPP)in quantifying wind power uncertainty,which should be handled by operating *** reserve in WPPI frameworks enhances the efficacy of *** this regard,the proposed framework employs a novel bi-layer optimization approach that takes both WPPI quality and reserve requirements into *** analysis with different real-world datasets and various benchmark models validates the quality of the obtained WPPIs while resulting in more optimal reserve requirements.

Feature Matching via Topology-Aware Graph Interaction Model

Feature matching plays a key role in computer vision. However, due to the limitations of the descriptors, the putative matches are inevitably contaminated by massive *** paper attempts to tackle the outlier filtering problem from two aspects. First, a robust and efficient graph interaction model,is proposed, with the assumption that matches are correlated with each other rather than independently distributed. To this end, we construct a graph based on the local relationships of matches and formulate the outlier filtering task as a binary labeling energy minimization problem, where the pairwise term encodes the interaction between matches. We further show that this formulation can be solved globally by graph cut algorithm. Our new formulation always improves the performance of previous localitybased method without noticeable deterioration in processing time,adding a few milliseconds. Second, to construct a better graph structure, a robust and geometrically meaningful topology-aware relationship is developed to capture the topology relationship between matches. The two components in sum lead to topology interaction matching(TIM), an effective and efficient method for outlier filtering. Extensive experiments on several large and diverse datasets for multiple vision tasks including general feature matching, as well as relative pose estimation, homography and fundamental matrix estimation, loop-closure detection, and multi-modal image matching, demonstrate that our TIM is more competitive than current state-of-the-art methods, in terms of generality, efficiency, and effectiveness. Life Review the Impact of Combined Watson Care Theory Intervention on Psychological Status and Quality of Life in Patients with Terminal Lung Cancer

Objective: To analyze the impact of combined Watson care theory intervention on the psychological state and quality of life in patients with terminal lung cancer. Methods: 72 patients with terminal lung cancer admitted from March 2021 to January 2024 were selected, which were divided into research group (life review combined with Watson care theory intervention) and control group (conventional intervention), with 36 cases each. Compare the nursing effect between the two groups. Results: The anxiety self-rating scale (SAS) and depression self-rating scale (SDS) scores were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the quality of life score was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Life review combined with Watson care theory intervention can improve the psychological state and improve the quality of life of patients with terminal lung cancer.

Cluster Analysis of the Roma-BZCAT Blazars

Based on the collected multiwavelength data, namely in the radio(NVSS, FIRST, RATAN-600), IR(WISE),optical(Pan-STARRS), UV(GALEX), and X-ray(ROSAT, Swift-XRT) ranges, we have performed a cluster analysis for the blazars of the Roma-BZCAT catalog. Using two machine learning methods, namely a combination of PCA with k-means clustering and Kohonen's self-organizing maps(SOMs), we have constructed an independent classification of the blazars(five classes) and compared the classes with the known Roma-BZCAT classification(FSRQs, BL Lacs, galaxy-dominated BL Lacs, and blazars of an uncertain type) as well as with the high synchrotron peaked(HSP) blazars from the 3HSP catalog and blazars from the TeVCat catalog. The obtained groups demonstrate concordance with the BL Lac/FSRQ classification along with a continuous character of the change in the properties. The group of HSP blazars stands out against the overall distribution. We examine the characteristics of the five groups and demonstrate distinctions in their spectral energy distribution shapes. The effectiveness of the clustering technique for objective analysis of multiparametric arrays of experimental data is demonstrated.

Hydroxyl radical production by abiotic oxidation of pyrite under estuarine conditions:The effects of aging,seawater anions and illumination

Pyrite is widely distributed in estuarine sediments as an inexpensive natural Fenton-like reagent,however,the mechanism on the hydroxyl radical(HO^(·))production by pyrite under estuarine environmental conditions is still poorly *** batch experiments were performed to investigate the effects of estuarine conditions including aging(in air,in water),seawater anions(Cl^(-),Br^(-)and HCO_(3)^(-))and light on the HO^(·)production by pyrite *** one-electron transfer dominated the process from O_(2) to HO^(·)induced by oxidation of *** Fe(oxyhydr)oxide coatings on the surface of pyrite aged in air and water consumed hydrogen peroxide while mediating the electron transfer,and the combined effect of the two resulted in a suppression of HO^(·)production in the early stage of aging and a promotion of HO^(·)production in the later stage of *** of the surface oxide layers by aggressive anions was the main reason for the inhibition of HO^(·)production by Cl^(-)and Br^(-),and the generation of Cl^(·)and Br^(·)may also play a role in the scavenging of HO^(·).HCO_(3)^(-)increased the average rate of HO^(·)production through surface-CO_(2) complexes formed by adsorption on the surface of *** significant enhancement of HO^(·)production under light was attributed to the formation of photoelectrons induced by photochemical reactions on pyrite and its surface oxide *** findings provide new insights into the environmental chemical behavior of pyrite in the estuary and enrich the understanding of natural remediation of estuarine environments.
