Modulated noble metal/2D MOF heterostructures for improved hydrogen storage of MgH_(2)

The conjugation of external species with twodimensional(2D)materials has broad application *** this study,we have explored the potential of noble metal/2D MOF heterostructures in hydrogen ***,the MgH_(2)-Ni-MOF@Pd system has shown remarkable hydrogen desorption/sorption performances,starting to liberate hydrogen at 1810C,which is 23.0C lower than that of pristine *** the catalytic effect of Ni-MOF@Pd,the dehydrogenation apparent activation energy of MgH2 is noticeably decreased from(13..5±17.5)to(3..58±1.87)kJ·moL^(-1),and the hydrogenation apparent activation energy is reduced from(70.41±7.43.to(25.78±4.64)kJ·moL^(-1),which is lowered by 63.4%.The fully-dehydrogenated MgH2-NiMOF@Pd composite rapidly uptakes hydrogen,with 2.62wt%at 100℃and 6.06 wt%at 150℃within 3.0 s,*** mechanism analysis of MgH2 catalyzed by Ni-MOF@Pd has revealed that the transformation of Mg_2Ni and Mg_2NiH_4 could act as a"hydrogen pump",providing numerous channels for fast diffusion and transport of hydrogen ***,in the dehydrogenation process,the element Pd reacts with MgH_(2)to form the MgPd alloy phase,which makes MgH_(2)take precedence to decompose through the Mg-Pd alloy rather than self-decomposition,further reducing thermal stability and improving de/hydrogenation *** synergistic effect of Mg-Pd,Mg_2Ni,and the special ultra-thin 2D sheet structure of the additive is the main reason for the good hydrogen storage property of MgH_(2)-Ni-MOF@*** findings provide inspiration for designing efficient multifunctional additives with unique morphologies to optimize the hydrogen desorption/sorption behaviors of hydrogen storage materials.

Exploring the Core-shell Structure of BaTiO3.based Dielectric Ceramics Using Machine Learning Models and Interpretability Analysis

A machine learning(ML)-based random forest(RF)classification model algorithm was employed to investigate the main factors affecting the formation of the core-shell structure of BaTiO_(3.-based ceramics and their interpretability was analyzed by using Shapley additive explanations(SHAP).An F1-score changed from 0.8795 to 0.93.0,accuracy from 0.8450 to 0.9070,precision from 0.8714 to 0.9000,recall from 0.8929 to 0.9643.and ROC/AUC value of 0.97±0.03.was achieved by the RF classification with the optimal set of features containing only 5 features,demonstrating the high accuracy of our model and its high *** the interpretability analysis of the model,it was found that the electronegativity,melting point,and sintering temperature of the dopant contribute highly to the formation of the core-shell structure,and based on these characteristics,specific ranges were delineated and twelve elements were finally obtained that met all the requirements,namely Si,Sc,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Pd,Er,Tm,Lu,Pa,and *** the process of exploring the structure of the core-shell,the doping elements can be effectively localized to be selected by choosing the range of features.

Design of narrow bandgap Fe_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. heterostructure for boosting triethylamine sensing performance

To achieve the rapid and real-time detection of triethylamine(TEA)gas,this study synthesized a gas sensor based on heterostructures of Fe_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. using a hydrothermal ***_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. composites with a narrow bandgap(1.1 eV)were successfully synthesized by constructing *** rapid and efficient detection of triethylamine was achieved at 220℃.The response and response/recovery times of the Fe_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. sensor with 50×10^(−6) triethylamine were 13. s and 5 s/10 s,*** Fe_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. sensor maintained a good response to triethylamine gas,even at 80%relative *** sensing mechanism of the Fe_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. sensor can be described in terms of adsorption energy and electronic behavior of the sensing layer using density functional theory(DFT).The results are consistent with the excellent selectivity and rapid response/recovery of the Fe_(2)O_(3./MoO_(3. gas sensor for ***,the construction of heterostructures to facilitate electron transmission is an effective strategy to achieve rapid detection of triethylamine and is worthy of further exploration and investigation.

Unraveling the incompatibility mechanism of ethylene carbonate-based electrolytes in sodium metal anodes

Ethylene carbonate(EC)is widely used in lithium-ion batteries due to its optimal overall performance with satisfactory conductivity,relatively stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),and wide electrochemical *** is also the most widely used electrolyte solvent in sodium ion ***,compared to lithium metal,sodium metal(Na)shows higher activity and reacts violently with EC-based electrolyte(NaPF_(6)as solute),which leads to the failure of sodium metal batteries(SMBs).Herein,we reveal the electrochemical instability mechanism of EC on sodium metal battery,and find that the com-bination of EC and NaPF_(6) is electrically reduced in sodium metal anode during charging,resulting in the reduction of the first coulombic efficiency,and the continuous consumption of electrolyte leads to the cell *** address the above issues,an additive modified linear carbonate-based electrolyte is provided as a substitute for EC based ***,ethyl methyl carbonate(EMC)and dimethyl carbon-ate(DMC)as solvents and fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)as SEI-forming additive have been identified as the optimal solvent for NaFP_(6)based electrolyte and used in Na_(4)Fe_(3.(PO_(4))_(2)(P_(2)O_(7))/Na *** batter-ies exhibit excellent capacity retention rate of about 80%over 1000 cycles at a cut-off voltage of 4.3.V.

Construction of lightweight NiCo-LDH/carbon fiber nanocomposites for broad-band microwave absorption

The rapidly increasing usage of electric technology during the last decades has facilitated the fabrication of high-efficiency microwave absorption(MA)materials(MAMs).In this study,hierarchical NiCo layered double hydroxide(LDH)/carbon fiber(CF)nanocomposites were constructed via simple hydrothermal production,and their MA properties were *** from interfacial polarization,defect-induced polarization,and multiple reflections induced by the hierarchical sheets,the LDH/CF composites delivered a better MA perfor-mance than that by pure CF and *** addition ratio of the LDH also played a vital role in determining the impedance matching and microwave absorption ***,the optimized LDH/CF composites demonstrated an exceptional reflection loss(RL)of-62.47 dB with a thickness of 2.22 mm,and an effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)covering 6.4 GHz(11.6-18.0 GHz)at a 20 wt.%filling ratio,which outperformed the reported CF-based microwave *** to this superior MA,the as-prepared LDH/CF composites demonstrated to be significantly promising for advancing the usage of CF-based MAMs.

Raman signal enhancement for gas detection using a dual near-concentric cavities group

Effective methods are urgently required to optimize Raman spectroscopy technology to ameliorate its low detection ***,we superposed two near-concentric cavities to develop a dual near-concentric cavities group(DNCCG)to assess its effect on gas Raman signal intensity,signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),and limit of detection(LOD).The results showed that DNCCG generally had higher CO_(2) Raman signal intensity than the sum of two near-concentric ***,the noise intensity of DNCCG was not enhanced by the superposition of near-concentric ***,DNCCG increased the *** LOD for CO_(2) was 24.6 parts per *** could be an effective method to improve the detection capability of trace gases and broaden the dynamic detection range,which might aid the future development of innovative technology for multicomponent gas detection.

High thermally stable deep red-emitting Sb3.,Ho3.-codoped Cs2NaScCl6 double perovskite for plant lighting

Lead-free halide double perovskite has received widespread attention due to its excellent optical ***,the lack of deep red light and poor heat quenching resistance severely limit its application in plant lighting *** this work,Ho3.was introduced into the thermally stable Cs2NaScCl6host,exhibiting a deep red emission of 660 *** constructing an energy transfer channel between Sb3.and Ho3.,the photo luminescence quantum yield（PLQY） of Cs2NaScCl6:1%Sb3.,40%Ho3.rises up to53.8%,that is increased by 17 times,and its emission intensity can still be maintained by 80% at 423.K,exhibiting good heat quenching *** obtained Cs2NaScCl6:1%Sb3.,40%Ho3.and Cs2NaScCl6:1%Sb3.with blue light emission were employed for fabricating a light-emitting diode（LED） device with a3.0 nm UV chip,and its emission spectrum matches well the absorption spectra of chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B with the high resemblance of 70% and 75%,making it suitable for use as an artificial light source to control the growth process of plants in the field of plant lighting.

MoS2 as a cocatalyst applied in advanced oxidation processes for enhancing degradation of organic pollutants: a review

Fenton technology,as a typical advanced oxidation processes（AOPs）,can generate reactive oxygen species（ROS） of strong oxidation capacity to degrade organic pollutants,which has attracted wide ***,it is accompanied by the slow Fe3./Fe2+cycle rate,easy to generate iron sludge and so ***,it has been proven that the inorganic cocatalysts represented by MoS2can effectively solve the above ***,MoS2can accelerate the activation of peroxy mono sulfate（PMS） and peroxodisulfate（PDS） by Fe2+.In this paper,MoS2as the cocatalyst in H2O2+Fe2+,PMS+Fe2+and PDS+Fe2+were comprehensively ***,the cycling processes of Fe3./Fe2+in different systems,the cocatalytic effect of MoS2by the exposed active sites,the ROS generation mechanism as well as the microscopic mechanism during the reaction were elaborated *** results indicate that the reductive active sites on the surface of MoS2can promote the regeneration of Fe2+through the cycle between Fe3./Fe2+and Mo4+/Mo5+/Mo6+.Thus,ROS such as ·OH,SO4·-and1O2with strong oxidizing property can be produced to improve the degradation efficiency of organic *** last,the challenges and developments of MoS2cocatalysts in AOPs for practical applications were *** review contributes to a deeper understanding of the cocatalytic effect of two-dimensional metal sulfides in AOPs and facilitates their industrial application.

Manipulating fast Li_(2)S redox via carbon confinement and oxygen defect engineering of In_(2)O_(3.for lithium-sulfur batteries

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries have been considered as promising energy storage systems due to the merits of high energy density and low ***,the lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)diffusion and sluggish redox kinetics hamper the battery *** this work,low-bandgap indium oxide(In_(2)O_(3.)with dense oxygen vacancies(In_(2)O_(3.x),03.confined in nitrogen-doped carbon column(NC)is developed as a desirable LiPSs immobilizer and promoter to address these intractable *** NC confined In_(2)O_(3.x)with rich O vacancies(In_(2)O_(3.x)@NC)lowers the bandgap of 1.78 eV,strengthens the chemical adsorbability to LiPSs,and catalyzes the bidirectional Li_(2)S *** to the structural and chemical cooperativities,the obtained sulfur electrodes exhibit a stable cycling over 550 cycles at 1.0 C and splendid rate capability up to 4.0 *** significantly,when the sulfur-loading reaches as high as 5.5 mg·cm^(−2),the cathodes achieve an areal capacity of 5.12 mAh·cm^(−2)at 0.1 *** strategy of NC confined catalyst with rich defects engineering demonstrates great promise in the development of practical Li-S batteries.

Electrochemical anodic oxidation assisted fabrication of memristors

Owing to the advantages of simple structure,low power consumption and high-density integration,memristors or memristive devices are attracting increasing attention in the fields such as next generation non-volatile memories,neuromorphic computation and data ***,the deposition of memristive films often requires expensive equipment,strict vacuum conditions,high energy consumption,and extended processing *** contrast,electrochemical anodizing can produce metal oxide films quickly(e.g.10 s) under ambient *** means of the anodizing technique,oxide films,oxide nanotubes,nanowires and nanodots can be fabricated to prepare *** film thickness,nanostructures,defect concentrations,etc,can be varied to regulate device performances by adjusting oxidation parameters such as voltage,current and *** memristors fabricated by the anodic oxidation technique can achieve high device consistency,low variation,and ultrahigh yield *** article provides a comprehensive review of the research progress in the field of anodic oxidation assisted fabrication of ***,the principle of anodic oxidation is introduced;then,different types of memristors produced by anodic oxidation and their applications are presented;finally,features and challenges of anodic oxidation for memristor production are elaborated.
