The taiga vegetation in Western Siberia has been seriously threatened by climate warming in recent ***,how vegetation in different growing states and climate conditions responds to climate changes differently is still *** we explore the vegetation activity trends in Western Siberia taiga forests using the annual rate of change in leaf area index(LAI)during 1982–2018 so as to answer two questions:(1)how did climate warming affect taiga vegetation activity in the recent last decades?(2)Did the growing state of taiga forest affect its response to climate warming?Our results revealed that climate warming promoted taiga vegetation activity in Western Siberia before ***,continuous warming caused excessive evapotranspiration and led to decreased vegetation activity after ***,the intensity of vegetation growth response to warming was positively related to canopy height and LAI,indicating that both the positive and negative effects of warming were more significant in taiga forests in better growing *** these forests generally have higher productivity and play more important roles in ecosystem functioning(e.g.,carbon sink and biodiversity conservation),our results highlight their vulnerability to future climate change that need more research attention.

Weather conditions play a pivotal role in embryo development and parental incubation costs,potentially impacting the clutch size and incubation behavior of *** these effects is crucial for bird ***’ s Pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii) is a threatened species endemic to China,which is characterized by female-only ***,there is a lack of information regarding the impact of weather conditions on clutch size and incubation behavior in this *** satellite tracking,we tracked 27 wild female Reeves’ s Pheasants from 2020 to 2023.in Hubei Province,*** explored their clutch size and incubation behavior,as well as their responses to ambient temperature and *** size averaged 7.75 ±1.3.,had an association with average ambient temperature and average daily precipitation during the egglaying period,and was potentially linked to female breeding *** the incubation period,females took an average of 0.73.±0.46 recesses every 24 h,with an average recess duration of 100.80 ±73.3. min and an average nest attendance of 92.98 ±5.27%.They showed a unimodal recess pattern in which nest departures peaked primarily between 13.00 and 16:***,females rarely left nests when daily precipitation was *** duration and nest attendance were influenced by the interaction between daily mean ambient temperature and daily precipitation,as well as day of ***,there was a positive correlation between clutch size and recess *** results contribute valuable insights into the lifehistory features of this endangered species.

Trace elements in atmospheric particulate matter play a significant role in air quality,human health,and biogeochemical *** this study,the trace elements(Ca,Al,K,Fe,Na,Mg,Zn,Pb,Mn,Ti,Cu,Cr,Sr,Ni)in PM2.5samples collected at the summit of *** were analyzed to quantify their abundance,source,transport,and health *** the whole sampling period,the major trace elements was Ca,Al,and *** the trace metals with the lowest concentrations were Sr,Ni,Rb,and *** trace elements were influenced by air mass transport routes,exhibiting an increasing trend of crustal elements in the northwesterly airmass and anthropogenic elements(Zn,Mn,Cu,and Ni)in the easterly air *** dust,coal+biomass burning,vehicle emission,urban nitrate-rich+urban waste incineration emissions,and soil dust+industry emissions were common sources of PM2.5on *** air mass transport routes had various source contribution *** results indicate that trace elements at *** are influenced by regional anthropogenic emissions and monsoon-dominated trace element *** total resulting cancer risk value that these elements posed were below the acceptable risk value of 1×10^(-6),while the non-carcinogenic risk value(1.72)was higher than the safety level,suggesting that non-carcinogenic effects due to these trace elements inhalation were likely to *** emission and coal+biomass burning were the common dominant sources of non-cancer risks posed by trace elements at ***.

Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate(DEHP),a complex structure with high toxicity,is a common organic *** study investigated the effects of fresh biochar(FBC),and freeze-thaw cycled aged biochar(FTC-BC)on DEHP-contaminated soils using a pot *** specific surface area of FBC increased from 145.20 to 3.3.50 m~2/g,and oxygen-containing functional groups increased from 1.26 to 1.48 mol/g after freeze-thaw cycles,greatly enhancing the adsorption of DEHP by biochar in the *** comprehensive radar chart evaluation showed that FBC and FTC-BC reduced DEHP growth stress and improved the soil *** with FBC,FTC-BC performed better in protecting the normal growth of pakchoi and improving soil *** addition,the application of biochar increased the diversity and abundance of bacteria in the DEHP-contaminated soil and changed the composition of the soil bacterial *** partial least squares path model(PLS-PM)showed that adding biochar as a soil remediation agent significantly positively impacted soil nutrients and indirectly reduced the DEHP levels in soil and plants by increasing soil microbial *** with FBC,FTC-BC creates a more satisfactory living environment for microorganisms and has a better effect on the degradation of DEHP in the *** study provides a theoretical basis for future biochar remediation of DEHP-contaminated soils in cold high-latitude regions.

Efficient separation of palladium (Pd（II）) from high-level liquid waste （HLLW） not only helps the safe disposal of nuclear waste,but also is a vital importan supplement to Pd（II） ***,16 kinds of nove Amberlite XAD resins-based adsorbents were prepared by vacuum impregnation method for the separation of Pd（II）from simulated HLLW,and the MMBT/XAD7HP prepared using 4-methyl-2-mercaptobenzothiazole （MMBT） as ligand and Amberlite XAD7HP resin （XAD7HP） as the carrier was selected as the optimal research *** analysis experiments proved the successful preparation of MMBT/XAD7HP,which exhibited ultrahigh adsorption selectivity for Pd（II）(distribution coefficient （Kd）≥12584.5 ml·g-1,separation factor (SFPd/M)≥2818.4) and superior adsorption capacity(Q≥13..1 mg·g-1).The adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherms for Pd（II） matched with pseudo-secondorder （PSO） kinetics model and Langmuir model,indicating that the adsorption mode for Pd（II） by MMBT/XAD7 HP was monolayer chemical *** dynamic column experiments showed that MMBT/XAD7 HP achieved efficiently separation of Pd（II） from simulated HLLW,and the recovery rate was nearly 100% The adsorption mechanism was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） and density functional theory（DFT）,and the ultrahigh selectivity of MMBT/XAD7 HP is attributed to the preferred affinity of the soft-N,S donor atoms in MMBT for Pd（II）.MMBT has the shortest frontline molecular orbital energy band gap （HOMO–LUMO） among the four ligands,which makes it easier to become an electron donor to attract Pd2+to participate in ***3.participates in the adsorption to keep charge *** summary,MMBT/XAD7 HP has broad application prospects for the treatment of Pd（II） in HLLW

Migration time prediction and assessment of toxic fumes under forced ventilation in underground mines

This study aims to predict the migration time of toxic fumes induced by excavation blasting in underground *** reduce numerical simulation time and optimize ventilation design,several back propagation neural network(BPNN)models optimized by honey badger algorithm(HBA)with four chaos mapping(CM)functions(i.e.,Chebyshev(Che)map,Circle(Cir)map,Logistic(Log)map,and Piecewise(Pie)map)are developed to predict the migration time.125 simulations by the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method are used to train and test the developed *** determination coefficient(R2),the variance accounted for(VAF),the Willmott’s index(WI),the root mean square error(RMSE),the mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),and the sum of squares error(SSE)are utilized to evaluate the model *** evaluation results indicate that the CirHBA-BPNN model has achieved the most satisfactory performance by reaching the highest values of R2(0.9945),WI(0.9986),VAF(99.4811%),and the lowest values of RMSE(15.7600),MAPE(0.03.3.and SSE(6209.4),*** wind velocity in roadway(Wv)is the most important feature for predicting the migration time of toxic ***,the intrinsic response characteristic of the optimal model is implemented to enhance the model interpretability and provide reference for the relationship between features and migration time of toxic fumes in ventilation design.

During the production,the fluid in the vicinity of the directional well enters the wellbore with different rates,leading to non-uniform flux distribution along the directional ***,in all existing studies,it is oversimplified to a uniform flux distribution,which can result in inaccurate results for field ***,this paper proposes a semi-analytical model of a directional well based on the assumption of non-uniform flux ***,the direction well is discretized into a carefully chosen series of linear sources,such that the complex well trajectory can be captured and the nonuniform flux distribution along the wellbore can be considered to model the three-dimensional flow *** using the finite difference method,we can obtain the numerical solutions of the transient flow within the *** the aid of Green's function method,we can obtain the analytical solutions of the transient flow from the matrix to the *** complete flow behavior of a directional well is perfectly represented by coupling the above two types of transient ***,on the basis of the proposed model,we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the pressure transient behavior of a directional *** computation results show that the flux variation along the direction well has a significant effect on pressure *** addition,the directional well in an infinite reservoir may exhibit the following flow regimes:wellbore afterflow,transition flow,inclined radial flow,elliptical flow,horizontal linear flow,and horizontal radial *** horizontal linear flow can be observed only if the formation thickness is much smaller than the well ***,a dip region that appears on the pressure derivative curve indicates the three-dimensional flow behavior near the wellbore.
