As image manipulation technology advances rapidly,the malicious use of image tampering has alarmingly escalated,posing a significant threat to social *** the realm of image tampering localization,accurately localizing limited samples,multiple types,and various sizes of regions remains a multitude of *** issues impede the model’s universality and generalization capability and detrimentally affect its *** tackle these issues,we propose FL-MobileViT-an improved MobileViT model devised for image tampering *** proposed model utilizes a dual-stream architecture that independently processes the RGB and noise domain,and captures richer traces of tampering through dual-stream ***,the model incorporating the Focused Linear Attention mechanism within the lightweight network(MobileViT).This substitution significantly diminishes computational complexity and resolves homogeneity problems associated with traditional Transformer attention mechanisms,enhancing feature extraction diversity and improving the model’s localization *** comprehensively fuse the generated results from both feature extractors,we introduce the ASPP architecture for multi-scale feature *** facilitates a more precise localization of tampered regions of various ***,to bolster the model’s generalization ability,we adopt a contrastive learning method and devise a joint optimization training strategy that leverages fused features and captures the disparities in feature distribution in tampered *** strategy enables the learning of contrastive loss at various stages of the feature extractor and employs it as an additional constraint condition in conjunction with cross-entropy *** a result,overfitting issues are effectively alleviated,and the differentiation between tampered and untampered regions is *** evaluations on five benchmark datasets(IMD-20,CASIA,NIST-16,Columbia and Coverage)validat

Reconfigurable paper-based metamaterial antenna: Structural transition from 2D to 3.

Paper-based electronics offer a simple and cost-effective means to fabricate reconfigurable devices. In response to the problem of fixed shape and single function of most antennas, which limits their applications, a reconfigurable paper-based metamaterial antenna with 2D and 3. forms is presented for tunable operating frequency. The proposed antenna consists of two square split resonant rings fed by a coplanar waveguide. The working frequency of the 2D antenna is adjusted by the length, width, and opening size of the internal open resonant ring. While the folding angle of the antenna turns from 0° to 90°, the operating frequency of the paper-based metamaterial antenna changes from 2.759 to 4.223.GHz. In terms of 3. form, an additional resonant peak is generated by bending the paper-based metamaterial antenna, thus further realizing dual-band antenna *** a simple process flow, a series of proposed antennas are fabricated and evaluated. The simulated and measured results both demonstrate that the proposed antenna has a good performance in turning the working band. The environment-friendly nature and pliability of paper, as well as simple fabrication procedures, make paper-based metamaterial promising candidates for future green electronics.

Single-step-etched ultra-compact metamaterial grating coupler enabled by a hierarchical inverse design approach

With the concept of metamaterials introduced into integrated photonics,subwavelength structures have gained popularity for their ability to create devices with ultra-compact size,high performance,and versatile ***,traditional metamaterial design methods are usually based on empirical templates and physical approximations,lacking the ability to design free-form metamaterial structures and optimize entire devices *** this work,we propose a hierarchical inverse design approach that combines a conventional effective refractive index based metamaterial structures design with a follow-up global topology *** empirical metamaterial grating coupler design based on effective refractive index engineering faces inaccurate index extraction and insufficient approximation of wavevector matching conditions,which deteriorates coupling efficiency,especially for fully-etched devices with the decreased tapering ***,a subsequent overall topology optimization step can well compensate for the negative effect of the shrinking device footprint to increase the efficiency of the metamaterial grating *** demonstrate a 23.m×10μm ultra-compact metamaterial grating coupler with single-stepetched to couple light between a fiber and a 500 nm single-mode silicon waveguide in the *** measurement shows an insertion loss of 3.17 dB and a 3.dB bandwidth of 77 nm,making it the smallest footprint device ever reported.

In this study,a Ni-Fe metal-organic framework modified by-NH_(2)and-SH was synthesized using a sim-ple hydrothermal process for enhancing photocatalytic CO_(2)*** expected,the N2S-NiFe(NH_(2)-BDC/H_(4)DSBDC,2:1)displayed excellent photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction activity and high CO selectivity(12,412.23.mol g^(−1)h^(−1))under visible light irradiation(λ≥420 nm),which is 5 times that of ***,the excellent photocatalytic performance of N2S-NiFe can benefit from the rich defect trap site caused by the introduction of amino and sulfhydryl groups,accelerating charge transfer and promoting space charge separation,as supported by the photo-electrochemical *** better understand the CO_(2)adsorption mechanism,density functional theory calculations were performed,which revealed that the Niov site has more negative adsorption energy compared with the Feov *** study provides a simple strategy to establish efficient photocatalysts for CO_(2)reduction through the modification of organic ligands.

A novel integrated microfluidic chip for on-demand electrostatic droplet charging and sorting

On-demand droplet sorting is extensively applied for the efficient manipulation and genome-wide analysis of individual ***,state-of-the-art microfluidic chips for droplet sorting still suffer from low sorting speeds,sample loss,and labor-intensive preparation ***,we demonstrate the development of a novel microfluidic chip that integrates droplet generation,on-demand electrostatic droplet charging,and high-throughput *** charging electrode is a copper wire buried above the nozzle of the microchannel,and the deflecting electrode is the phosphate buffered saline in the microchannel,which greatly simplifies the structure and fabrication process of the ***,this chip is capable of high-frequency droplet generation and sorting,with a frequency of 11.757 kHz in the drop *** chip completes the selective charging process via electrostatic induction during droplet ***-demand charged microdroplets can arbitrarilymove to specific exit channels in a three-dimensional(3.)-deflected electric field,which can be controlled according to user requirements,and the flux of droplet deflection is thereby significantly ***,a lossless modification strategy is presented to improve the accuracy of droplet deflection or harvest rate from 97.49% to 99.3.% by monitoring the frequency of droplet generation in real time and feeding it back to the charging *** chip has great potential for quantitative processing and analysis of single cells for elucidating cell-to-cell variations.

Artificial intelligence(AI) systems surpass certain human intelligence abilities in a statistical sense as a whole, but are not yet the true realization of these human intelligence abilities and behaviors. There are differences, and even contradictions, between the cognition and behavior of AI systems and humans. With the goal of achieving general AI, this study contains a review of the role of cognitive science in inspiring the development of the three mainstream academic branches of AI based on the three-layer framework proposed by David Marr, and the limitations of the current development of AI are explored and analyzed. The differences and inconsistencies between the cognition mechanisms of the human brain and the computation mechanisms of AI systems are analyzed. They are found to be the cause of the differences and contradictions between the cognition and behavior of AI systems and humans. Additionally, eight important research directions and their scientific issues that need to focus on braininspired AI research are proposed: highly imitated bionic information processing, a large-scale deep learning model that balances structure and function, multi-granularity joint problem solving bidirectionally driven by data and knowledge, AI models that simulate specific brain structures, a collaborative processing mechanism with the physical separation of perceptual processing and interpretive analysis, embodied intelligence that integrates the brain cognitive mechanism and AI computation mechanisms,intelligence simulation from individual intelligence to group intelligence(social intelligence), and AI-assisted brain cognitive intelligence.

Reference-frame-independent quantum key distribution with two-way classical communication

The data post-processing scheme based on two-way classical communication(TWCC)can improve the tolerable bit error rate and extend the maximal transmission distance when used in a quantum key distribution(QKD)*** this study,we apply the TWCC method to improve the performance of reference-frame-independent quantum key distribution(RFI-QKD),and analyze the influence of the TWCC method on the performance of decoy-state RFI-QKD in both asymptotic and non-asymptotic *** numerical simulation results show that the TWCC method is able to extend the maximal transmission distance from 175 km to 198 km and improve the tolerable bit error rate from 10.48%to 16.75%.At the same time,the performance of RFI-QKD in terms of the secret key rate and maximum transmission distance are still greatly improved when statistical fluctuations are *** conclude that RFI-QKD with the TWCC method is of practical interest.
