Abnormal mechanochemical effect in ultraprecision machining of an additively manufactured precipitation-strengthened high-entropy alloy

Recently,researchers have explored the use of precipitation strengthening and finer microstructures with high-density dislocations in additive manufacturing to produce high-entropy alloys(HEAs)with adjustable ***,the inherent surface roughness and lack of machinability research in AMed HEAs limit their engineering *** this study,we systematically investigated the microstructural characteristics,mechanical properties,and machinability of Fe_(29.3.Co_(28.7)Ni_(28.6)Al_(6.8)Ti_(6.6)(at.%)HEAs with three different structures:single FCC phase cellular(SPC),dual precipitation-strengthened(DPS),and single precipitation-strengthened(SPS).These structures were fabricated by selective laser melting and isothermally annealing at 780 and 940℃.Compared to SPC HEA,DPS HEA exhibits a significant increase in yield strength and ultimate tensile strength but with a dramatic sacrifice in *** HEA exhibits similar mechanical properties to SPC HEA due to the pronounced coarsening of L21 *** ultraprecision machining micro-cutting test showed that SPC HEA had a significant mechanochem-ical effect,as evidenced by a sharp drop in cutting force for inked workpieces,but not DPS *** abnormal finding was that the negligible reflection of cutting force for SPS HEAs suggested a negative mechanochemical effect,even though SPS HEA had equally excellent plasticity like SPC *** was found that nanocrystallization-induced strength enhancement and ductility reduction of SPS HEA lead to chips’deformation dominated by shear avalanche rather than chip folding of SPC HEA,which involves the reduction of surface energy and friction of chips’***,these results and our research findings may guide the machining of AMed precipitation-strengthened HEAs and accelerate their engineering ap-plication.

InGaZnO-based photoelectric synaptic devices for neuromorphic computing

Photoelectric synaptic devices could emulate synaptic behaviors utilizing photoelectric effects and offer promising prospects with their high-speed operation and low crosstalk. In this study, we introduced a novel InGaZnO-based photoelectric memristor. Under both electrical and optical stimulation, the device successfully emulated synaptic characteristics including excitatory postsynaptic current (EPSC), paired-pulse facilitation (PPF), long-term potentiation (LTP), and long-term depression (LTD). Furthermore, we demonstrated the practical application of our synaptic devices through the recognition of handwritten digits. The devices have successfully shown their ability to modulate synaptic weights effectively through light pulse stimulation, resulting in a recognition accuracy of up to 93.4%. The results illustrated the potential of IGZO-based memristors in neuromorphic computing, particularly their ability to simulate synaptic functionalities and contribute to image recognition tasks.

EVALUATION　OF　REVERSE　PASSIVE　HEMAGGLUTINATION　（RPHA）　FECAL　OCCULT　BLOOD　TEST　IN　SCREENING　OF　COLORECTAL　NEOPLASIA

A high risk population consisting of 3.3. people with history of rectal polyps or ulcers were screened for colorectal neoplasia with Reverse Passive Hemagglutination Fecal Occult Blood Test (RPHA FOB) and 60 cm fiberoptic colonoscopy. Among 2553.subjects (84.1%)who completed both tests, 11 cases of colorectal malignancies and 465 cases of polyps were *** colonoscopic finding and histopathological examination as the 'gold standard' of diagnosis, results showed that FOB positivity of polyps was related to their size, macroscopic appearance and surface features but no correlation between bleeding of polyps and their location, numbers, pathological types were found. In this study the sensitivity of RPHA in screening of colorectal malignancy was 63.6% (7/11), while that for polyps was only 21.1% (98/465) . For screening of colorectal neoplasia (cancer+polyps) the overall sensitivity and specificity of RPHA FOB were 22.1% and 82.4%, the positive and negative predictive values were 22.3. and 82.2% respectively. Amoug 465 polyps there were 195 adenomas, further analysis showed that villous and tubulovillous adenomas had higher intestinal bleeding rate (FOB positive)than tubular type (45.5%,3..0% and 17.8% respectively, X2=5.8, p=0.05). The results indicate that although the sensitivity of RPHA FOB in screening for colorectal polyps was generally low, but about 40% (8/21) of villous and tubulovillous adenoma which present higher tendency of malignant transformation can be detected by RPHA FOB as a screening Procedure. So the authors suggest that screening of colorectal neoplasia be not only a procedure of secondary prevention but also a measure of primary prevention for colorectal *** March 22, 1994

A total of twenty-three psychiatric pharmaceuticals and illicit drugs were analyzed in tap water covering seven basins in Eastern *** residual concentrations of these substances were detected up to 22.4 ng L^(-1).Among the substances,benzodiazepines were more often detected with higher median concentrations than those of illicit ***,the higher residual levels of psychoactive substances were detected in the upstream of the basins compared with the *** example,the concentrations of diazepam,temazepam,and oxazepam in the downstream were much higher than those in the upstream in *** the basins,YH was the most polluted *** assessment indicated the median exposure doses of diazepam and temazepam were from 85 to 99 and 3.5e4.1 pg kg^(-1) bw d^(-1) in the basins,*** quotient for the nine detected substances was calculated in each basin with the range from 0.0001 to 0.03.9,indicating low risk in the tap water for human health under current concentrations.

Association of CASP9,CASP10 gene polymorphisms and tea drinking with colorectal cancer risk in the Han Chinese population

The initiators caspase-9 （CASP9） and caspase-10 （CASPIO） are two key controllers of apoptosis and play important roles in carcinogenesis. This study aims to explore the association between CASPs gene polymorphisms and colorectal cancer （CRC） susceptibility in a population-based study. A two-stage designed population-based case-control study was carried out, including a testing set with 3.0 cases and 296 controls and a validation set with 206 cases and 845 controls. A total of eight tag selected single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） in CASP9 and CASPIO were chosen based on HapMap and the National Center of Biotechnology Information （NCBI） datasets and genotyped by restriction fragment length polymorphism （RFLP） assay. Multivariate logistic regression models were applied to evaluate the association of SNPs with CRC risk. In the first stage, from eight tag SNPs, three polymorphisms rs4646077 （odds ratio （OR）AA＋AG： 0.654, 95% confidence interval （CI）： 0.406-1.055; P=0.082）, rs423.53. （ORcc： 1.667, 95% CI： 0.967-2.876; Oacm： 1.43., 95% CI： 0.998-2.063. P=0.077）, and rs288193. （ORcc： 0.263. 95% CI： 0.095-0.728, P=0.03.） showed possible association with CRC risk. However, none of the three SNPs, rs4646077 （ORAA＋AG： 1.23., 95% CI： 0.903.1.683., rs423.53. （ORcc： 0.892, 95% CI： 0.640-1.243. ORcT： 1.13., 95% CI： 0.897-1.43.）, and rs288193. （ORcc： 1.096, 95% CI： 0.620-1.93.; ORcT： 1.009, 95% CI： 0.801-1.271）, remained significant with CRC risk in the validation set, even after stratification for different tumor locations （colon or rectum）. In addition, never tea drinking was associated with a significantly increased risk of CRC in testing set together with validation set （OR： 1.755, 95% CI： 1.3.9-2.3.4）. Our results found that polymorphisms of CASP9 and CASPIO genes may not contribute to CRC risk in Chinese population and thereby the large-scale case-control studies might be in consideration. In addition, tea drinking was a protective factor for CRC.

Investigation of transport properties of perovskite single crystals by pulsed and DC bias transient current technique

Time-of-flight(ToF)transient current method is an important technique to study the transport characteristics of ***,both the direct current(DC)and pulsed bias ToF transient current method are employed to investigate the transport properties and electric field distribution inside the MAPbI_(3. single crystal *** to the almost homogeneous electric field built inside the detector during pulsed bias ToF measurement,the free hole mobility can be directly calculated to be about 22 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1),and the hole lifetime is around 6.5μs–17.5μ***,the mobility-lifetime product can be derived to be 1.4×10^(-4)cm^(2)·V^(-1)–3.9×10^(-4)cm^(2)·V^(-1).The transit time measured under the DC bias deviates with increasing voltage compared with that under the pulsed bias,which arises mainly from the inhomogeneous electric field distribution inside the *** positive space charge density can then be deduced to increase from 3.1×10^(10)cm^(-3.to 6.89×10^(10)cm^(-3.in a bias range of 50 V–150 *** ToF measurement can provide us with a facile way to accurately measure the transport properties of the perovskite single crystals,and is also helpful in obtaining a rough picture of the internal electric field distribution.
