Silicone rubber(SR)is widely used for cable insulation and operates in multi-stress coupling *** dielectric properties and ageing performance are the essential factors affecting cable *** this study,the frequency domain spectroscopy of unaged SR and SR aged under various conditions is *** dielectric responses before and after ageing are analysed in depth by the conjoint analysis via multiple complex planes(permittivity,conductivity,and modulus).Typical conductivity and interfacial polarisation properties,as well as property changes resulting from thermal and tensile ageing,are *** results show that tensile ageing promotes conductance and interfacial polarisation,while thermal ageing shows the opposite *** on the multi-core model and charge carrier hopping transport model,thermal and tensile ageing mechanisms on the conductance and interfacial polarisation behaviours of SR are *** behaviours exhibit positively correlated changing characteristics,suggesting that the two behaviours may originate from a common *** carrier transport process,promoted by the tensile effect and slightly suppressed by the thermal effect,is the primary factor and considered an important indicator to evaluate the dielectric properties of SR insulation.

Group IV element Pb has been selected as the dopant to dope at the Sr site of Sr2IrO4. It is exciting to find that the single-phase crystal structure could be maintained with a high Pb doping level of up to x=0.3.in Sr2-xPbxIrO4. The mapping data obtained from energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy analyses give solid evidence that the Pb ions are uniformly distributed in the Sr2IrO4matrix. The incorporation of Pb leads to a moderate depression of the canted antiferromagnetic ordering state. The electrical conductivity could be greatly enhanced when the Pb doping content is higher than x=*** present results give a fresh material base to explore new physics in doped Sr2IrO4systems.

Implementing a signal-switching mechanism for the selective use of integrated sensors and actuators plays a crucial role in streamlining the functionality of miniaturized ***,a liquid metal droplet(LMD)-based signal-switching mechanism is introduced to achieve such *** modulation with a 100-μm spatial resolution enabled precise control of the position of the LMDs within a *** integrating the channel with asymmetrically structured electrodes,the effect of the shuttle-like movement of LMD on the temporal changes in the overall capacitance was ***,analysis of the capacitive peaks revealed the directional movement of the LMDs,enabling estimation of the position of the LMDs without direct *** addition,we achieved successful signal extraction from the capacitive sensor that was linked to the activated electrodes,thereby enabling selective data *** proposed signal-switching mechanism method achieved a detection accuracy of~0.1 *** sensor’s ability to simultaneously detect the LMD position and generate a signal underscores its significant potential for multiplexing in multisensing systems,particularly in concealed environments,such as in vivo settings.

Narrowband photodetection is an important measurement technique for material analysis and sensing, for example, nondispersive infrared sensing technique. Both photoactive material engineering and nanophotonic filtering schemes have been explored to realize wavelength-selective photodetection,while most devices have a responsive bandwidth larger than 2% of the operating wavelength, limiting sensing performance. Near-infrared photodetection with a bandwidth of less than 0.2% of the operating wavelength was demonstrated experimentally in Au/Si Schottky nanojunctions. A minimum linewidth of photoelectric response down to 2.6 nm was obtained at a wavelength of 1550 nm by carefully tailing the absorptive and radiative loss in the nanostructures. Multiple functions were achieved on chip with the corrugated Au film, including narrowband resonance, light harvesting for sensing and photodetection, and electrodes for hot electron emission. Benefiting from such a unity integration with in situ photoelectric conversion of the optical sensing signal and the ultranarrowband resonance, self-contained on-chip biosensing via simple intensity interrogation was demonstrated with a limit of detection down to 0.0047%in concentration for glucose solution and 150 ng∕m L for rabbit IgG. Promising potential of this technique is expected for the applications in on-site sensing, spectroscopy, spectral imaging, etc.

An integrated photonic circuit architecture to perform a modified-convolution operation based on the discrete fractional Fourier transform(DFrFT) is introduced. This is accomplished by utilizing two nonuniformly coupled waveguide lattices with equally spaced eigenmode spectra, the lengths of which are chosen so that the DFrFT and its inverse operations are achieved. A programmable modulator array is interlaced so that the required fractional convolution operation is performed. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed architecture can effectively perform smoothing and edge detection tasks even for noisy input signals, which is further verified by electromagnetic wave simulations. Notably, mild lattice defects do not jeopardize the architecture performance, showing its resilience to manufacturing errors.

This study focused on producing metal matrix composite(MMC)coatings on Ti–6Al–4V alloy through laser surface alloying using a novel combination of Inconel 625 and SiC precursor *** ratios of alloying powders were examined to evaluate surface properties such as microhardness,wear resistance,and friction coefficient,along with analyzing the phase composition and microstructure of the *** in situ synthesized MMC coatings exhibited the presence ofα-Ti,NiTi,NiTi_(2),and TiC ***,Ti_(5)Si_(3.andα-Ti/Ti_(5)Si_(3.eutectic structures were observed when the SiC content exceeded 20%.In comparison to the titanium substrate,the MMC coating significantly enhanced microhardness by over threefold and reduced wear by 95%.However,it was crucial to carefully select the appropriate combination of alloying powders to avoid a substantial decrease in friction performance and excessive formation of *** a comparative analysis of experimental results,the optimal precursor material composition was identified as 85%Inconel 625 and 15%*** study demonstrated the effective utilization of Inconel 625 and SiC alloying materials to enhance the surface properties of titanium alloys,thereby expanding their application in challenging environments.
