Laser-assisted direct roller imprinting of large-area microstructured optical surfaces

In this study,a high-throughput fabrication method called laser-assisted direct roller imprinting(LADRI)was developed to lower the cost of nanoimprinting large-area polymer films and to address problems associated with nanoimprinting,namely,microstructural damage and precision in flatness of entire *** LADRI,the laser directly heats the microstructured surface of the roller mold,which heats and melts the surface of a polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)film to replicate the microstructures on the mold *** this study,the effects of laser power density,scanning speed,size of the microstructures,and contact pressure on the replication speed were investigated *** replication speed increased as the power and scanning speed ***,because the film required heating until it filled the entire depth of the microstructure,an appropriate replication speed was *** result was supported by simulation of the temperature distribution inside the mold and the PMMA using transient heat conduction *** demonstrate the applications of LADRI,two different optical surfaces were replicated:an antireflection(AR)structure with conical structures sized several hundred nanometers and a lightextraction structure with a microlens array(MLA)comprising 10μm lenses,for display and illumination,*** replication degree of the MLA was governed by the contact *** flow simulation indicated that the heat conduction and flow speeds of the melted PMMA surface were comparable within several tens of *** addition,the reflectivity of the AR structure decreased from 4 to 0.5%,and the light intensity of the light-extraction structure increased by a factor of 1.47.

Amorphous high-entropy materials with abundant defects,coordinatively unsaturated sites,and loosely bonded atoms could exhibit excellent electrocatalytic ***,how to fabricate such ma-terials with nanostructure as well as amorphous structure is still full of *** this work,high-entropy metal organic framework(HE-MOF)is employed as the self-sacrificial template to fabricate FeCoNiCuMnP x high-entropy phosphide/carbon(HEP/C)*** obtained composite shows a het-erostructured fusiform morphology,in which the HEP is encapsulated by a carbon layer,revealing high electron conductivity as well as rich catalytic active sites for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Beside,it is found that there is a short-range ordered crystal structure in the amorphous phase,which is bene-ficial for revealing high OER catalytic activity as well as good *** a result,the optimum HEP/C composite shows an overpotential 23. mV@10 mA cm^(−2)with a small Tafel slope of 72.5 mV dec^(−1) for catalyzing OER in alkaline solution.

Hyperspectral image super resolution using deep internal and self-supervised learning

By automatically learning the priors embedded in images with powerful modelling ca-pabilities,deep learning-based algorithms have recently made considerable progress in reconstructing the high-resolution hyperspectral(HR-HS)*** previously collected large-amount of external data,these methods are intuitively realised under the full supervision of the ground-truth ***,the database construction in merging the low-resolution(LR)HS(LR-HS)and HR multispectral(MS)or RGB image research paradigm,commonly named as HSI SR,requires collecting corresponding training triplets:HR-MS(RGB),LR-HS and HR-HS image simultaneously,and often faces dif-ficulties in *** learned models with the training datasets collected simultaneously under controlled conditions may significantly degrade the HSI super-resolved perfor-mance to the real images captured under diverse *** handle the above-mentioned limitations,the authors propose to leverage the deep internal and self-supervised learning to solve the HSI SR *** authors advocate that it is possible to train a specific CNN model at test time,called as deep internal learning(DIL),by on-line preparing the training triplet samples from the observed LR-HS/HR-MS(or RGB)images and the down-sampled LR-HS ***,the number of the training triplets extracted solely from the transformed data of the observation itself is extremely few particularly for the HSI SR tasks with large spatial upscale factors,which would result in limited reconstruction *** solve this problem,the authors further exploit deep self-supervised learning(DSL)by considering the observations as the unlabelled training ***,the degradation modules inside the network were elaborated to realise the spatial and spectral down-sampling procedures for transforming the generated HR-HS estimation to the high-resolution RGB/LR-HS approximation,and then the reconstruction errors of the observations were formulated for mea

This paper presents a novel sequential inverse optimal control(SIOC)method for discrete-time systems,which calculates the unknown weight vectors of the cost function in real time using the input and output of an optimally controlled discrete-time *** proposed method overcomes the limitations of previous approaches by eliminating the need for the invertible Jacobian *** calculates the possible-solution spaces and their intersections sequentially until the dimension of the intersection space decreases to *** remaining one-dimensional vector of the possible-solution space’s intersection represents the SIOC *** paper presents clear conditions for convergence and addresses the issue of noisy data by clarifying the conditions for the singular values of the matrices that relate to the possible-solution *** effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through simulation results.

Non-Kramers doublet ground state in a quaternary cubic compound PrRu_(2)In_(2)Zn_(18) investigated by ultrasonic measurements

We performed ultrasonic measurements on a quaternary cubic compound PrRu_(2)In_(2)Zn_(18) to explore the ground state properties derived from non-Kramers Γ_(3. doublet of Pr^(3.).PrRu_(2)In_(2)Zn_(18) is a quaternary derivative of the ternary compound PrRu_(2)Zn_(20) that exhibits a structural phase transition at T_S=13. *** PrRu_(2)In_(2)Zn_(18),the Zn atoms at the 16c site in PrRu_(2)Zn_(20) are selectively replaced by In atoms.A monotonic increase was observed in the temperature dependence of elastic constants C_L=(C_(11)+2C_(12)+4C_(44))/3.and C_(T)=(C_(11)-C_(12)+C_(44))/3.in the temperature range around T_(S) to which an elastic softening was observed in(C_(11)-C_(12))/2 for PrRu_(2)Zn_(20).The disappearance of the softening indicates that the structural transition in PrRu_(2)Zn_(20) is suppressed by the substitution of Zn ions by In ones with a larger ionic ***,the C_(T) of PrRu_(2)In_(2)Zn_(18) exhibits a precursor Curie-type elastic softening toward low temperatures being responsible for the non-Kramers Γ_(3. ground *** discuss the ground state and the evolution of the elastic properties of the different single-crystal samples of PrRu_(2)In_(2)Zn_(18) grown under different conditions.

LSTM Network-Based Adaptation Approach for Dynamic Integration in Intelligent End-Edge-Cloud Systems

Edge computing, which migrates compute-intensive tasks to run on the storage resources of edge devices, efficiently reduces data transmission loss and protects data privacy. However, due to limited computing resources and storage capacity, edge devices fail to support real-time streaming data query and processing. To address this challenge, first, we propose a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network-based adaptive approach in the intelligent end-edge-cloud system. Specifically, we maximize the Quality of Experience (QoE) of users by automatically adapting their resource requirements to the storage capacity of edge devices through an event mechanism. Second, to reduce the uncertainty and non-complete adaption of the edge device towards the user’s requirements, we use the LSTM network to analyze the storage capacity of the edge device in real time. Finally, the storage features of the edge devices are aggregated to the cloud to re-evaluate the comprehensive capability of the edge devices and ensure the fast response of the user devices during the dynamic adaptation matching process. A series of experimental results show that the proposed approach has superior performance compared with traditional centralized and matrix decomposition based approaches.

Engineering high-performance dielectric chiral shells with enhanced chiral fields for sensitive chiral biosensor

Chiral metamaterials have been a topic of significant research interest in recent years due to their potential for various applications in nanophotonic devices and chiral ***,the intrinsic Ohmic loss in surface plasmonic resonance has limited their practical use,resulting in large light dissipation and weak chiroptical ***,we report on the development of high-performance dielectric chiral shells(DCS)through a two-step Si deposition process on a self-assembled microsphere *** form DCS sample completely oyercomes the cancelation effect originated from the disorder property of the micro-sphere monolayer in macroscale,and at a wavelength of approximately 710 nm,the measured optimal chiral signal(g-factor)and transmittance can reach up to 0.7 and 0.3.*** strong chiroptical effect comes from the asymmetric circular displacement currents(i.e.,magnetic modes)enabled by the specific shell *** chiral shell geometry,electromagnetic properties,sensor sensitivity of chiral molecules and figure of merit are systematically *** DCSs demonstrate highly sensitive detection of chiral biomolecules owing to their easily accessible geometry and enhanced uniform chiral field.

Intranasal administration of stem cell-derived exosomes for central nervous system diseases

Exosomes,lipid bilayer-enclosed small cellular vesicles,are actively secreted by various cells and play crucial roles in intercellular *** nanosized vesicles transport internalized proteins,mRNA,miRNA,and other bioactive *** findings have provided compelling evidence that exosomes derived from stem cells hold great promise as a therapeutic modality for central nervous system *** exosomes exhibit multifaceted properties including antiapoptotic,anti-inflammatory,neurogenic,and vasculogenic ***,exosomes offer several advantages over stem cell therapy,such as high preservation capacity,low immunogenicity,the ability to traverse the blood-brain barrier,and the potential for drug ***,researchers have turned their attention to exosomes as a novel therapeutic ***,akin to the limitations of stem cell treatment,the limited accumulation of exosomes in the injured brain poses a challenge to their clinical *** overcome this hurdle,intranasal administration has emerged as a non-invasive and efficacious route for delivering drugs to the central nervous *** exploiting the olfactory and trigeminal nerve axons,this approach enables the direct transport of therapeutics to the brain while bypassing the blood-brain ***,exosomes,owing to their small size,can readily access the nerve pathways using this *** a result,intranasal administration has gained increasing recognition as an optimal therapeutic strategy for exosomebased *** this comprehensive review,we aim to provide an overview of both basic and clinical research studies investigating the intranasal administration of exosomes for the treatment of central nervous system ***,we elucidate the underlying therapeutic mechanisms and offer insights into the prospect of this approach.

Analysis of spatial distribution characteristics and driving factors of ethnicminority villages in China using geospatial technology and statistical models

This study aims to reveal the spatial structural characteristics of 1,652 Ethnic-Minority Villages(EMV)in China and to analyze the mechanisms driving their spatial *** are a special type of settlement space that preserve a large number of historical traces of the ethnic culture of ancient *** are important carriers of China’s excellent traditional culture and are key to the implementation of rural revitalization *** this study,1652 EMV in China were selected as the research *** Nearest Neighbor Index,kernel density,and spatial autocorrelation index were employed to reveal the spatial structural characteristics of minority *** network models,spatial lag models,and geographical detectors were used to analyze the formation mechanism of spatial heterogeneity in *** results indicate that:(1)EMV exhibit significant spatial differentiation characterized by“single-core with multiple surrounding sub-centers,”“polarization between east and west,”“decreasing quantity from southwest to east coast to northeast to northwest,”and“large dispersion with small agglomeration.”(2)EMV are mainly distributed in areas rich in intangible cultural heritage,with high vegetation coverage and low altitude,far from central cities,and having limited arable land and an underdeveloped economy and transportation,particularly in shaded or riverbank areas.(3.Distance from the nearest river(X3.,distance from central cities(X8),national intangible cultural heritage(X9),and NDVI(X10)were the main driving factors affecting the spatial distribution of EMV,whereas elevation(X1)and GDP(X5)had the weakest *** EMV are a relatively unique territorial spatial unit,the identification of their spatial heterogeneity characteristics not only deepens the research content of settlement geography,but also involves the assessment,protection,and development of Minority Villages,which is of great significance for the inheritance and utilization of excellent
