This orticle seeks to address come lingering debates within sustainability studies by revealing the connections between renewable energy consumption and *** data from 30 OECD counties,examines the connections via regression and geospattal *** from the quantitative analysis indicate that about 50% of the variation in Sustainability is accounted for by the degree of renewables Consumption. The geospatial analysis visuaUv illustrates the intimate connections between the two variables, Theoretically, renewable energy relates to sustainability in three dimensions. The first dimension is economic. Relying on traditional fassil fuels eventually will bring our economy to a stop. Renewable energies, however; are able to secure our energy supply into an indefinite future. The second dimension links to ethics. To leave an intact planet torture generations is a moral responsibity of our generation, The current energy supply system is built on depletion of natural resources, while the sources of renewable energy are vast and constantly replenished. Tire last dimension is ecologic. How to allocate a proper apportionment of the global biosphere between humankind and the other life on the earth is a critical issue related to sustainability. By using renewable energy, we can greatly reduce our impact on biodiversity and therefore strike a balance between humankind and other life. Overall the research suggests that developing renewables can and in many. cases does sustain a nation＇s economic growth while simultaneously protecting the environment. It is a win-win situation. This finding undoubtedly points out a practical and realistic path for sustainable development.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(SRSS)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PIC)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order SRSS and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PIC simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order SRSS propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order SRSS,but there is no cascade acceleration to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that SRSS and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.

Cancer is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide,and the incidence is increasing,highlighting the need for effective strategies to treat this *** has emerged as fundamental therapeutic medicine in the management of cancer,associated with a lower risk of recur-rence and increased *** avenues of research demonstrate reduction in growth,proliferation,and increased apoptosis of cancer cells,including breast,prostate,colorectal,and lung cancer,when cultured by serum collected after exercise in vitro(i.e.,the cultivation of cancer cell lines in an experimental setting,which simpliﬁes the biological system and provides mechanistic insight into cell responses).The underlying mechanisms of exercise-induced cancer suppressive effects may be attributed to the alteration in circulating factors,such as skeletal muscle-induced cytokines(i.e.,myokines)and ***,exercise-induced tumor suppressive effects and detailed information about training interventions are not well investigated,constraining more precise application of exercise medicine within clinical *** date,it remains unclear what role different training modes(i.e.,resistance and aerobic training)as well as volume and intensity have on exercise-condi-tioned serum and its effects on cancer ***,the available evidence is that a single bout of aerobic training at moderate to vigorous intensity has cancer suppressive effects,while for chronic training interventions,exercise volume appears to be an inﬂuential candidate driving cancer inhibitory effects regardless of training *** for future research investigating training modes,volume and intensity are provided to further our understanding of the effects of exercise-conditioned serum on cancer cells.

P_(c)(4457)has been discovered over five years,but the parity of this particle remains *** propose a new interpretation for P_(c)(4457),which is the state generated from the coupled-channel D^(0)Ac+(2595)andπ^(0)P_(c)(4312)since they can exchange an almost on-shell∑_(c)^(+).In this scenario,the parity of P_(c)(4457)will be positive,which is different from the candidate of the bound state of D*∑_(c).The main decay channel of P_(c)(4457)in this model is Pc(4312)π.We propose three processes∧_(b)^(0)→J/ψKapπ^(-),∧_(b)^(0)→J/ψK-pπ^(0),and∧_(b)^(0)→J/ψpπ^(-)π^(+)k^(-)to verify Pc(4457)→Pc(4312)π.

At least 1,065 introduced vertebrate species have been introduced in the united states and its territories, including at least 86 mammalian, 127 avian, 179 reptilian/amphibian, and 673 fish species. Examples in each major taxonomic group include domestic cat, small Indian mongoose, red fox, goat, pig, rabbit, rats, house mouse, gray squirrel, nutria, starling, Indian common myna, red-vented bulbul, brown treesnake, red-eared slider, brown trout, tilapia, and grass carp. We briefly review some of these species and the types of damage they cause. We then review the basic types of methods used for control or eradication of each taxonomic group, including physical, chemical, biological, and cultural methods. We discuss some of the challenges in managing these species, including issues with the use of toxicants, land access, public attitudes, and monitoring difficulties. Finally, we list some ongoing research and future research needs, including improved detection methods, improved attractants, improved barriers, improved capture methods, fertility control, and risk assessment methods [Current Zoology 57 （5）： 559-567, 2011].

Recovering valuable materials from waste streams is critical to the transition to a circular economy with reduced environmental damages caused by resource extraction *** and industrial wastewaters contain a variety of materials,such as nutrients(nitrogen and phosphorus),lithium,and rare earth elements,which can be recovered as value-added *** to their modularity,convenient operation and control,and the non-requirement of chemical dosage,electrochemical technologies offer a great promise for resource recovery in small-scale,decentralized ***,we review three emerging electrochemical technologies for materials recovery applications:electrosorption based on carbonaceous and intercalation electrodes,electrochemical redox processes,and electrochemically induced *** highlight the mechanisms for achieving selective materials recovery in these *** also present an overview of the advantages and limitations of these technologies,as well as the key challenges that need to be overcome for their deployment in real-world systems to achieve cost-effective and sustainable materials recovery.

Introduction:Numerical models are critical for assessing the effects of sea level rise(SLR),hurricanes,and storm surge on vegetation change in the Everglades National *** model must be capable of representing short-timescale hydrodynamics,salinity transport,and groundwater ***,there is also a strong need to adapt these numerical models to hindcast past conditions in order to examine long-term effects on the distribution of vegetation that cannot be determined using only the modern ***:Based on parameters developed for a numerical model developed for the recent 1996 to 2004 period,a hindcast model was developed to represent sea level and water management for the period of 1926 to 1932,constrained by the limited hydrology and meteorology data available from the historic *** hurricanewind and storm surge representations,required for the hindcast model,are based on information synthesized from modern storm data.A series of simulation scenarios with various hurricane representations inserted into both hindcast and recent numerical models were used to assess the utility of the storm representation in the model and compare the two ***:The comparison of the hindcast and recent models showed differences in the hydrology patterns that are consistent with known differences in water delivery systems and sea level rise.A 30×lower-resolution spatially variable wind grid for the hindcast produced similar results to the original high-resolution full wind grid representation of the recent *** effects on hydrologic patterns demonstrated with the simulations show hydrologic processes that could have a long-term effect on vegetation ***:The hindcast simulation estimated hydrologic processes for the 1926 to 1932 *** shows promise as a simulator in long-term ecological studies to test hypotheses based on theoretical or empirical-based studies at larger landscape scales.
