Topological zero-line modes(ZLMs) with spin and valley degrees of freedom give rise to spin, valley and spinvalley transport, which support a platform for exploring quantum transport physics and potential applications in spintronic/valleytronic devices. In this work, we investigate the beam-splitting behaviors of the charge current due to the ZLMs in a three-terminal system. We show that with certain combinations of ZLMs, the incident charge current along the interface between different topological phases can be divided into different polarized currents with unit transmittance in two outgoing terminals. As a result, fully spin-polarized, valley-polarized and spin-valley-polarized electron beam splitters are generated. The mechanism of these splitters is attributed to the cooperative effects of the distribution of the ZLMs and the intervalley and intravalley scatterings that are modulated by the wave-vector mismatch and group velocity mismatch. Interestingly, half-quantized transmittance of these scatterings is found in a fully spin-valley-polarized electron beam ***, the results indicate that these splitters can be applicable to graphene, silicene, germanene and stanene due to their robustness against the spin–orbit coupling. Our findings offer a new way to understand the transport mechanism and investigate the promising applications of ZLMs.

The metal-to-insulator transition(MIT) as usually achieved in 3d-orbital transitional metal(TM) compounds opens up a new paradigm in correlated electronics via triggering abrupt variations in their transportation *** to such 3d-orbital TM compounds,the MIT within the platinum group(Pg) element compounds based on the 4d-and 5d-orbital configurations is more complicated,owing to their elevation in the spinorbit coupling and meanwhile weakened intra-atomic Coulomb *** brings in a new freedom to regulate the balance in their metallic or semiconductive orbital configurations,while their MIT properties can be potentially combined with their spintronic properties to enable new electronic ***,we review the electronic transport and MIT behaviors within the existing family of Pg-containing compounds,particularly those showing first-order MIT behaviors that can be useful in correlated *** is also hoped that summarizing the presently reported Pg-containing MIT compounds will lead to the discovery of more new material families and/or new mechanisms associated with the Pg-containing compounds showing MIT properties.

The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 3,062.new measurements from 72. papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge bosons and the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as supersymmetric particles, heavy bosons, axions, dark photons, etc. All the particle properties and search limits are listed in Summary Tables. We also give numerous tables, figures, formulae, and reviews of topics such as Higgs Boson physics, Supersymmetry, Grand Unified Theories, Neutrino Mixing, Dark Energy, Dark Matter, Cosmology, Particle Detectors, Colliders, Probability and Statistics. Among the 117 reviews are many that are new or heavily revised, including new reviews on Pentaquarks and Inflation. The complete Review is published online in a journal and on the website of the Particle Data {2. （http：//pdg. lbl. gov）. The printed PDG Book contains the Summary Tables and all review articles but no longer includes the detailed tables from the Particle Listings. A Booklet with the Summary Tables and abbreviated versions of some of the review articles is also available.

We study the carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2.RR)activity and selectivity of Fe single-atom catalyst(Fe-SAC)and Fe dual-atom catalyst(Fe-DAC)active sites at the interior of graphene and the edges of graphitic nanopore by using a combination of DFT calculations and microkinetic *** trend of limiting potentials for CO_(2.RR to produce CO can be described by using either the adsorption energy of COOH,CO,or their ***_(2.RR process with reasonable reaction rates can be achieved only on the active site configurations with weak tendencies toward CO *** efficiency of CO_(2.RR on a catalyst depends on its ability to suppress the parasitic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),which is directly related to the behavior of H adsorption on the catalyst’s active *** find that the edges of the graphitic nanopore can act as potential adsorption sites for an H atom,and in some cases,the edge site can bind the H atom much stronger than the main Fe *** linear scaling between CO and H adsorptions is broken if this condition is *** condition also allows some edge active site configurations to have their CO_(2.RR limiting potential lower than the HER process favoring CO production over H2.production.

We investigate the impact of pairwise and group interactions on the spread of epidemics through an activity-driven model based on time-dependent *** effects of pairwise/group interaction proportion and pairwise/group interaction intensity are explored by extensive simulation and theoretical *** is demonstrated that altering the group interaction proportion can either hinder or enhance the spread of epidemics,depending on the relative social intensity of group and pairwise *** the group interaction proportion decreases,the impact of reducing group social intensity *** ratio of group and pairwise social intensity can affect the effect of group interaction proportion on the scale of infection.A weak heterogeneous activity distribution can raise the epidemic threshold,and reduce the scale of *** results benefit the design of epidemic control strategy.

Mesoscopic superconducting islands hosting Majorana zero modes(MZMs),or Majorana islands in short,offer a prototype of topological *** this work we investigate theoretically the model of a generic Majorana island tunneling-coupled to a singlepiece metallic substrate,hence an embedded Majorana *** show the crucial consequences of an interplay between the topological ground states nonlocally addressed by the MZMs and the metallic bath with coherent electron propagation:on the one hand,the topological degeneracy on the Majorana island can be preserved,by virtue of the particle-hole symmetry,despite the apparent bath-induced coupling between MZMs;on the other hand,the electronic interference in the metallic bath may lead to profound alterations to the renormalization group behavior of the hybrid system towards low energy/temperature compared with conventional Kondo *** work serves to establish the model of embedded Majorana islands as an experimentally relevant and theoretically intriguing problem particularly in the direction of topological quantum computation.

Cryogenic energy storage(CES)is a viable method for grid-scale electrical energy *** the high energy density and mature application of liquefied natural gas(LNG),we proposed an LNG cryogenic energy storage(LNGES)system.A steady-state process model of the LNGES system was established using Aspen *** effects of the natural gas composition and key operating parameters such as the charging pressure,discharging pressure,throttling temperature,and liquid storage pressure on the system performance were investigated.A multi-parameter genetic algorithm model built using the MATLAB software was used to optimize the LNGES system to optimize the round-trip efficiency(RTE).Then,an exergy analysis of the optimal configuration was *** results suggested that the LNGES system could achieve optimal RTE and exergy efficiency values of 60.14%and 71.64%,*** destruction mainly occurred during the compression,throttling,expansion,and heat *** proposed LNGES system could be a promising candidate for the large-scale application of CES technology in power grids and gas networks.

This research investigates the hydrothermal synthesis and annealing duration effects on nickel sulfide(NiS_(2. quantum dots(QDs)for catalytic decolorization of methylene blue(MB)dye and antimicrobial *** size increased with longer annealing,reducing catalytic ***–vis,XRD,TEM,and FTIR analyses probed optical structural,morphological,and vibrational *** confirmed NiS2.s anorthic structure,with crystallite size growing from 6.53 to 7.81 nm during extended ***–Vis exhibited a bathochromic shift,reflecting reduced band gap energy(Eg)in NiS_(2..TEM revealed NiS_(2.QD formation,with agglomerated QD average size increasing from 7.13 to 9.65 nm with prolonged *** NiS_(2. showed significant MB decolorization(89.85%)in acidic *** NiS_(2. QDs demonstrated notable antibacterial activity,yielding a 6.15mm inhibition zone against Escherichia coli(***)compared to ***-principles computation supported a robust interaction between MB and NiS_(2.,evidenced by obtained adsorption *** study highlights the nuanced relationship between annealing duration,structural changes,and functional properties in NiS_(2.QDs,emphasizing their potential applications in catalysis and antibacterial interventions.
