Nonlinear Filtering With Sample-Based Approximation Under Constrained Communication:Progress, Insights and Trends

The nonlinear filtering problem has enduringly been an active research topic in both academia and industry due to its ever-growing theoretical importance and practical *** main objective of nonlinear filtering is to infer the states of a nonlinear dynamical system of interest based on the available noisy measurements. In recent years, the advance of network communication technology has not only popularized the networked systems with apparent advantages in terms of installation,cost and maintenance, but also brought about a series of challenges to the design of nonlinear filtering algorithms, among which the communication constraint has been recognized as a dominating concern. In this context, a great number of investigations have been launched towards the networked nonlinear filtering problem with communication constraints, and many samplebased nonlinear filters have been developed to deal with the highly nonlinear and/or non-Gaussian scenarios. The aim of this paper is to provide a timely survey about the recent advances on the sample-based networked nonlinear filtering problem from the perspective of communication constraints. More specifically, we first review three important families of sample-based filtering methods known as the unscented Kalman filter, particle filter,and maximum correntropy filter. Then, the latest developments are surveyed with stress on the topics regarding incomplete/imperfect information, limited resources and cyber ***, several challenges and open problems are highlighted to shed some lights on the possible trends of future research in this realm.

This paper theoretically studies the axisymmetric frictionless indentation of a transversely isotropic piezoelectric semiconductor(PSC)half-space subject to a rigid flatended cylindrical *** contact area and other surface of the PSC half-space are assumed to be electrically *** the Hankel integral transformation,the problem is reduced to the Fredholm integral equation of the second *** equation is solved numerically to obtain the indentation behaviors of the PSC half-space,mainly including the indentation force-depth relation and the electric potential-depth *** results show that the effect of the semiconductor property on the indentation responses is limited within a certain range of variation of the steady carrier *** dependence of indentation behavior on material properties is also analyzed by two different kinds of *** element simulations are conducted to verify the results calculated by the integral equation technique,and good agreement is demonstrated.

An active high-static-low-dynamic-stiffness vibration isolator with adjustable buckling beams:theory and experiment

High-static-low-dynamic-stiffness(HSLDS)vibration isolators with buckling beams have been widely used to isolate external *** active adjustable device composed of proportion integration(PI)active controllers and piezoelectric actuators is proposed for improving the negative stiffness stroke of buckling beams.A nonlinear output frequency response function is used to analyze the effect of the vibration *** prototype of the active HSLDS device is built,and the verification experiment is *** results show that compared with the traditional HSLDS vibration isolator,the active HSLDS device can broaden the isolation frequency bandwidth,and effectively reduce the resonant amplitude by adjusting the active control *** maximum vibration reduction rate of the active HSLDS vibration isolator can attain 89.9%,and the resonant frequency can be reduced from 31.08 Hz to 13.2. ***,this paper devotes to providing a new design scheme for enhanced HSLDS vibration isolators.

陶瓷复合装甲主要由陶瓷层和背板层组成,广泛应用于冲击防护.然而,目前仍缺乏背板层在提高陶瓷复合装甲系统防弹性能方面的定量认识和分析.本文以B4C/UHMWPE双层装甲体系为例,从理论上系统地研究了UHMWPE层在提高陶瓷复合装甲弹道阻力方面的增强机理和适合UHMWPE厚度的选取.开发并验证了预测双层装甲系统剩余速度的理论模型.具体而言,分别从理论上获得与塑性、断裂和摩擦相关的耗散能以及由弹性应变能和动能组成的储存能.理论结果表明,随着UHMWPE层厚度的增加,耗散能单调增加,而储存能则先增加后减少,并会出现一个转折点,这是由于储存能的主导机制由系统固有的最大储存能转变为剩余动能.此外,对于给定的弹道阻力,根据存储能的转变提出了为降低面密度的最佳UHMWPE厚度的参考值,这与陶瓷厚度、冲击速度和弹丸质量有关.本文的研究有助于指导陶瓷复合装甲的轻量化设计.

Discontinuous phase diagram of amorphous carbons

The short-range order and medium-range order of amorphous carbons demonstrated in experiments allow us to rethink whether there exist intrinsic properties hidden by atomic disordering. Here we presented six representative phases of amorphous carbons（0.1–3.4 g/cm3）, namely, disordered graphene network（DGN）, high-density amorphous carbon（HDAC）, amorphous diaphite（a-DG）, amorphous diamond（a-D）, paracrystalline diamond（p-D）, and nano-polycrystalline diamond（NPD）, respectively, classified by their topological features and microstructural characterizations that are comparable with experiments. To achieve a comprehensive physical landscape for amorphous carbons, a phase diagram was plotted in the sp3/sp2.ersus density plane, in which the counterintuitive discontinuity originates from the inherent difference in topological microstructures, further guiding us to discover a variety of phase transitions among different amorphous carbons. Intriguingly, the power law, log（sp3/sp2. ∝ ρn, hints at intrinsic topology and hidden order in amorphous carbons, providing an insightful perspective to reacquaint atomic disorder in non-crystalline carbons.

Statistics and dynamics of coherent structures in compressible wall-bounded turbulence

Compressible wall-bounded turbulence is ubiquitously encountered in modern aerospace and mechanical industries. In this review, we summarize the current state of the literature on the flow physics of compressible wall-bounded turbulence with simple flow geometry and boundary constraints, focusing on the statistics and dynamics of coherent structures, the seemingly organized flow patterns hidden amidst the nonlinear chaotic random processes. We summarize the conclusions brought by recent year studies regarding the influences of the Mach number and wall temperature on the velocity streaks, quasi-streamwise vortices and dilatational motions in the near-wall region, and the large-scale and very-large-scale motions in the outer region, from both statistical and dynamical point of view, with the primary concern of the similarities with and disparities from those in incompressible flows.

Impact Performance Research of Re-Entrant Octagonal Negative Poisson’s Ratio Honeycomb with Gradient Design

Based on the traditional re-entrant honeycomb,a novel re-entrant octagon honeycomb(ROH)is *** deformation mode of the honeycomb under quasi-static compression is analyzed by numerical simulation,and the results are in good agreement with the experimental *** deformation modes,mechanical properties,and energy absorption characteristics of ROH along the impact and perpendicular directions gradient design are investigated under different *** results indicated that the deformation mode of ROH is affected by gradient design along the direction of impact and impact *** addition,gradient design along the direction of impact can increase the initial peak stress of ROH and accelerate its densification *** design perpendicular to the impact direction can enhance the energy absorption performance of ROH,especially for ROH,with wall thickness increasing from the inside *** to ROH with uniform wall thickness at the same relative density,ROH with a gradient design can increase the plateau stress by over *** the elevation of impact velocity,the plateau stress and specific energy absorption exhibit an upward trend,aligning with the dynamic performance pattern observed in conventional *** results can be used as a reference for the design and application of honeycomb and provide a new idea for developing more efficient and reliable energy-absorbing materials.

Thermal-electric bilayer invisibility cloak can prevent the heat flux and electric current from touching the object without distorting the external temperature and electric potential fields *** this paper,we design an omnidirectional thermal-electric invisibility cloak with anisotropic *** on the theory of neutral inclusion,the anisotropic effective thermal and electric conductivities of confocal elliptical bilayer core-shell structure are derived,thus obtaining the anisotropic matrix material to eliminate the external disturbances *** inner shell of the cloak is selected as an insulating material to shield the heat flux and electric ***,the omnidirectional thermal-electric cloaking effect is verified numerically and experimentally based on the theoretical anisotropic matrix and manufactured composite structure,***,we achieve the thermal-electric cloaking effect under a specific direction of heat flux and electric current using the isotropic natural materials to broaden the selection range of *** method proposed to eliminate anisotropy and achieve the omnidirectional effect could also be expanded to other different physical fields for the metadevices with different functions.

本文以弹性力学为例,提出了多重节点法用于求解大规模稀疏线性方程组.多重节点法利用叠加性将复杂问题分解为简单的子问题,并利用局部性减少计算量.粗节点刚度阵和子区域刚度阵在迭代时不变,使得多重节点法适合求解多工况问题.粗节点和细节点之间的映射关系通过求解局部有限元模型得到而非插值法,使得多重节点法能够快速求解复杂拓扑问题.为了加快收敛速度,提出了最优粗节点刚度阵,并基于正则化最小二乘法给出了其计算方法.大规模数值实验表明,多重节点法具有很好的可扩展性以及近似线性加速比.与主流算法如多重网格法相比,多重节点法在求解多工况问题时收敛速度更快.

Delamination is a prevalent type of damage in composite laminate *** accumulation degrades structural performance and threatens the safety and integrity of *** study presents a method for the quantitative identification of delamination identification in composite materials,leveraging distributed optical fiber sensors and a model updating ***,a numerical analysis is performed to establish a parameterized finite element model of the composite ***,this model subsequently generates a database of strain responses corresponding to damage of varying sizes and *** radial basis function neural network surrogate model is then constructed based on the numerical simulation results and strain responses captured from the distributed fiber optic ***,a multi-island genetic algorithm is employed for global optimization to identify the size and location of the *** efficacy of the proposed method is validated through numerical examples and experiment studies,examining the correlations between damage location,damage size,and strain *** findings confirm that the model updating technique,in conjunction with distributed fiber optic sensors,can precisely identify delamination in composite structures.
