Atomically precise Ru-O-Ru clusters for enhanced water dissociation in alkaline hydrogen evolution

Atomic clusters typically exhibit distinctive electronic structures and physicochemical ***,as the size decreases,their ability to adsorb and dissociate water also diminishes,thereby affecting chemical reactions involving water *** the adsorption and dissociation capabilities of atomic clusters towards water molecules and elucidating the mechanisms underlying their performance enhancement have become important research ***,employing the carrier-anchored strategy,Ru-O-Ru atomic clusters were prepared and displayed excellent activity and durability in the hydrogen evolution ***,the Ru-O-Ru atomic clusters exhibited only 86 mV overpotential at 100 mA·cm−^(2. and superior membrane-electrode-assembly activity than commercial Ru/C *** radiation-based Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic measurements revealed that the modification of oxygen in Ru-O-Ru units promoted the reorientation of water molecules from a H-up orientation to H-down,therefore,enhanced the formation of strong hydrogen-bond network of interfacial water on the surface of Ru-O-Ru clusters,leading to enhanced adsorption and dissociation of water and accelerated Volmer *** findings provide a potential strategy and deep insights for the development of atomic clusters in electrocatalysts.

Based on the dinuclear system model,the calculated evaporation residue cross sections matched well with the current experimental *** synthesis of superheavy elements Z=12. was systematically studied through combinations of stable projectiles with Z=2.-30 and targets with half-lives exceeding 50 *** influence of mass asymmetry and isotopic dependence on the projectile and target nuclei was investigated in *** reactions^(2.4)Es(^(46)Ti,3n)^(2.7)12. and^(2.2.Es(^(46)Ti,3n)^(2.5)12. were found to be experimentally feasible for synthesizing superheavy element Z=12.,with maximal evaporation residue cross sections of 6.619 and 4.12. fb at 2.9.9 and 2.3.9 MeV,respectively.

Voidage(porosity or void fraction)in packed particles(or pebbles)is of fundamental importance in calculating the pressure drop,obtaining the drag,predicting the bed permeability,estimating the neutron streaming,*** the case when particles are deformed,a method of voidage correction during the packing state is proposed using a Discrete Element Method(DEM)simulation of 3D pebble flow inside a bed of cycloidal base.A function to evaluate the remaining volume of a pebble intercepted by horizontal and vertical planes is proposed for voidage *** that,the process of solving voidage distribution is provided in *** this method,the voidage inside the cycloidal-base pebble bed is obtained to refer to reported similar data for *** method can be potentially used for dynamical voidage calculation in CFD-DEM simulation which can get suitable voidage distribution after the correction.

The CeO_(2.-TiO_(2.@MnO_(x) catalyst was prepared by the co-precipitation method and applied to the photothermocatalysis system of ethyl acetate and NO simultaneous degradation under H_(2.O at low temperature,which introduced Ce into TiO_(2.@MnO_(x) hollow sptrera *** optimum TiO_(2./MnO_(x) ratio and Ce introducing amount were obtained in the *** of them,the NO and ethyl acetate conversion percentage of TiO_(2.@MnO_(x)(n_(Mn):n_(Ti)=40:40)is 74%and 62.at 2.0℃,***_(2.-TiO_(2.@MnO_(x)(n_(Mn):n_(Ce)=1:1)exhibits the best catalytic performance,its efficiency for NO conversion is 83%and the conversion of ethyl acetate reaches 72.at 2.0℃.In addition,it is confirmed that the Cedoped nanocomposites have more uniform dispersion through various characterization and analysis ***,these catalysts have a large specific surface area as well as a large number of surface-active oxygen and oxygen *** can further improve the catalytic performance based on the adjusted ratio of active ***,this work investigated the relationship between multi-metal interactions and catalytic performance in the presence of H_(2.***,the possible reaction pathways for the simultaneous removal of NO and ethyl acetate were explored in our system.

The neutron total cross-section of ^(nat)Cr plays a crucial role in new nuclear engineering design and fundamental science.A new measurement of the neutron-induced total cross-sections of ^(nat)Cr was performed using the transmission method on the back-streaming white neutron beamline(Back-n)at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS).The neutron energy was determined using the time-of-flight *** neutron total cross-sections of ^(nat)Cr were obtained across a broad energy range(0.3 eV−2. MeV)in one experiment for the first *** resulting effective total cross-sections were compared with the existing experimental data in different energy ranges,which revealed good agreement with the evaluated *** calculation of the total cross-section in the energy range of 1.5 to 2. MeV was then conducted using TALYS-1.96 and compared with the present *** measurement provides a high-quality total cross-section of ^(nat)Cr,including detailed uncertainty data across a wide energy range,offering a valuable reference for nuclear data re-evaluation and nuclear engineering design.

Within the extended vector meson dominance model,we investigate the𝑒e^(+)e^(-)→Λ_(c)+Λ_(c)^(- ) reaction and the electromagnetic form factors of the charmed baryon𝛬 Λ_(c)^(+)𝑐.The model parameters are determined by fitting them to the cross sections of the process𝑒e^(+)e^(-)→Λ_(c)+Λ_(c)^(- ) and the magnetic form factor|G_(M)|of Λ_(c)^(+) .By considering four charmonium-like states,called𝜓(4500),𝜓(4660),𝜓(4790),and𝜓(4900),we can well describe the current data on the𝑒e^(+)e^(-)→Λ_(c)+Λ_(c)^(- ) reaction from the reaction threshold up to 4.96 *** addition to the total cross sections and|𝐺M|,the ratio|G_(E)/G_(M)|and the effective form factor|Geff|for Λ_(c)^(+) 𝑐are also calculated,and found that these calculations are consistent with the experimental *** the fitted model parameters,we have also estimated the charge radius of the charmed Λ_(c)^(+) baryon.

We have theoretically and experimentally studied the dispersive signal of the Rydberg atomic electromagneticallyinduced transparency(EIT)Autler–Townes(AT)splitting spectra obtained using amplitude modulation of the microwave(MW)electric *** addition to the two zero-crossing points interval△f_(zeros),the dispersion signal has two positive maxima with an interval defined as the shoulder interval△f_(sho),which is theoretically expected to be used to measure a much weaker MW electric *** relationship of the MW field strength E_(MW)and△f_(sho)is experimentally studied at the MW frequencies of 31.6 GHz and 9.2.GHz *** results show that△f_(sho)can be used to characterize the much weaker E_(MW)than that of△f_(zeros)and the traditional EIT–AT splitting interval△f_(m);the minimum E_(MW)measured by△f_(sho)is about 30 times smaller than that by△f_(m).As an example,the minimum E_(MW)at 9.2.GHz that can be characterized by△f_(sho)is 0.056 mV/cm,which is the minimum value characterized by the frequency interval using a vapor cell without adding any auxiliary *** proposed method can improve the weak limit and sensitivity of E_(MW)measured by the spectral frequency interval,which is important in the direct measurement of weak E_(MW).
