Eliminating the effects of gravity and designing nonlinear energy sinks(NESs)that suppress vibration in the vertical direction is a challenging task with numerous damping *** this paper,the dynamic design of a vertical track nonlinear energy sink(VTNES)with zero linear stiffness in the vertical direction is proposed and realized for the first *** motion differential equations of the VTNES coupled with a linear oscillator(LO)are *** the strong nonlinearity considered of the VTNES,the steady-state response of the system is analyzed with the harmonic balance method(HBM),and the accuracy of the HBM is verified *** this basis,the VTNES prototype is manufactured,and its nonlinear stiffness is *** damping effect and dynamic characteristics of the VTNES are studied theoretically and *** results show that the VTNES has better damping effects when strong modulation responses(SMRs)***,even for small-amplitude vibration,the VTNES also has a good vibration suppression *** sum up,in order to suppress the vertical vibration,an NES is designed and developed,which can suppress the vertical vibration within certain ranges of the resonance frequency and the vibration intensity.

In this study,the interactions between a Ga-based liquid metal,GaInSn,and several metal materials,including pure metals(Ni and Ti)and alloys(316H stainless steel(SS)and GH3535),at 650℃were *** aim was to evaluate the corrosion performance and select a suitable candidate material for use as a molten salt manometer diaphragm in thermal energy storage *** results indicated that the alloys(316H SS and GH3535)exhibited less corrosion than pure metals(Ni and Ti)in liquid ***-rich binary intermetallic compounds were found to form on the surfaces of all the tested metal materials exposed to liquid GaInSn,as a result of the decomposition of liquid GaInSn and its reaction with the constituent elements of the metal *** corrosion mechanism for all the tested materials exposed to liquid GaInSn was also investigated and proposed,which may aid in selecting the optimal candidate material when liquid GaInSn is used as the pressure-sensing medium.

The fast X-ray imaging beamline(BL16U2)at shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF)is a new beamline that provides X-ray micro-imaging capabilities across a wide range of time scales,spanning from 100 ps toμs and *** beamline has been specifically designed to facilitate the investigation of a wide range of rapid phenomena,such as the deformation and failure of materials subjected to intense dynamic *** addition,it enables the study of high-pressure and high-speed fuel spray processes in automotive *** light source of this beamline is a cryogenic permanent magnet undulator(CPMU)that is cooled by liquid *** CPMU can generate X-ray photons within an energy range of 8.7-30 *** beamline offers two modes of operation:monochromatic beam mode with a liquid nitrogen-cooled double-crystal monochromator(DCM)and pink beam mode with the first crystal of the DCM out of the beam *** X-ray imaging methods were implemented in BL16U2:single-pulse ultrafast X-ray imaging,microsecond-resolved X-ray dynamic imaging,millisecond-resolved X-ray dynamic micro-CT,and high-resolution quantitative ***,BL16U2 is equipped with various in situ impact loading systems,such as a split Hopkinson bar system,light gas gun,and fuel spray *** the completion of the final commissioning in 2021 and subsequent trial operations in 2022,the beamline has been officially available to users from 2023.

Although 12-lead electrocardiograms(ECGs)provide a wide range of spatiotemporal characteristics,interpreting them for arrhythmia detection is difficult due to a lack of reliable large-scale clinical ***,we proposed an innovative lightweight computerized ECG interpretation approach based on 12-lead *** model was trained,validated,and tested on 53845 standard 12-lead ECG records collected at shanghai First People’s Hospital in affiliation with shanghai Jiao Tong *** experiments revealed that our approach had a classification accuracy of 94.41%in the classification task of seven types of rhythms,which was markedly superior to related single-lead and 12-lead ECG classification ***,the average receiver operating characteristic area under the curve reached a value of 0.940,and the precision values for sinus tachycardia and sinus bradycardia were 0.945 and 0.91,respectively,with specificity values of 0.996 and *** employing our boosting method,we were able to improve the accuracy to 94.85%.To investigate the performance degradation of the proposed neural network in some classes,an ECG cardiologist was enlisted to review questionable ECGs;this process provides a promising direction for network performance ***,the proposed computerized ECG interpretation approach has practical significance because it could help professional physicians analyze patients’heart conditions based on real-time 12-lead ECG or grade their disease severity in advance.

We propose an efficient scheme to produce ultrahigh-brightness tens of MeV electron beams by designing a density-tailored plasma to induce a wakefield in the weakly nonlinear regime with a moderate laser energy of 120 *** this scheme,the second bucket of the wakefield can have a much lower phase velocity at the steep plasma density down-ramp than the first bucket and can be exploited to implement longitudinal electron injection at a lower laser intensity,leading to the generation of bright electron beams with ultralow emittance together with low energy ***-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations are carried out and demonstrate that high-quality electron beams with a peak energy of 50 MeV,ultralow emittance of28 nm rad,energy spread of 1%,charge of 4.4 pC,and short duration less than 5 fs can be obtained within a 1-mm-long tailored plasma density,resulting in an ultrahigh six-dimensional brightness B6D,n of2×1017 A/m2/0.1%.By changing the density parameters,tunable bright electron beams with peak energies ranging from 5 to 70 MeV,a small emittance of B0.1 mm mrad,and a low energy spread at a few-percent level can be *** bright MeV-class electron beams have a variety of potential applications,for example,as ultrafast electron probes for diffraction and imaging,in laboratory astrophysics,in coherent radiation source generation,and as injectors for GeV particle accelerators.

Multiparty private set intersection(PSI)allows several parties,each holding a set of elements,to jointly compute the intersection without leaking any additional *** the development of cloud computing,PSI has a wide range of applications in privacy ***,it is complex to build an efficient and reliable scheme to protect user *** address this issue,we propose EMPSI,an efficient PSI(with cardinality)protocol in a multiparty *** avoids using heavy cryptographic primitives(mainly rely on symmetric-key encryption)to achieve better *** addition,both PSI and PSI with the cardinality of EMPSI are secure against semi-honest adversaries and allow any number of colluding clients(at least one honest client).We also do experiments to compare EMPSI with some state-of-the-art *** experimental results show that proposed EMPSI(-CA)has better performance and is scalable in the number of clients and the set size.

Quantum discord and its dynamics for multipartite systems

Quantum discord, one of the famous quantum correlations, has been recently generalized to multipartite systems by Radhakrishnan et al. Here we give analytical solutions of the quantum discord for a family of N-qubit quantum states. For the bipartite system, we derive a zero quantum discord which will remain unchanged under the phase damping channel. For multiparitite systems, it is found that the quantum discord can be classified into three categories and the quantum discord for odd-partite systems can exhibit freezing under the phase damping channel, while the freezing does not exist in the even-partite systems.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)flow cytometry offers the advantages of speed,affordability,and portability in cell analysis and cytometry ***,the integration challenges of microfluidic and EIS read-out circuits hinder the downsizing of cytometry *** address this,we developed a thermal-bubble-driven impedance flow cytometric application-specific integrated circuit(ASIC).The thermal-bubble micropump avoids external piping and equipment,enabling high-throughput *** a total of 36 cell counting channels,each measuring 884×220μm^(2),the chip significantly enhances the throughput of flow *** cell counting channel incorporates a differential trans-impedance amplifier(TIA)to amplify weak biosensing *** eliminating the parasitic parameters created at the complementary metal-oxidesemiconductor transistor(CMOS)-micro-electromechanical systems(MEMS)interface,the counting accuracy can be *** on-chip TIA can adjust feedback resistance from 5 to 60 kΩto accommodate solutions with different *** chip effectively classifies particles of varying sizes,demonstrated by the average peak voltages of 0.0529 and 0.4510 mV for 7 and 14μm polystyrene beads,***,the counting accuracies of the chip for polystyrene beads and MSTO-211H cells are both greater than 97.6%.The chip exhibits potential for impedance flow cytometer at low cost,high-throughput,and miniaturization for the application of point-of-care diagnostics.
