Composition optimization and performance prediction for ultra-stable water-based aerosol based on thermodynamic entropy theory

Water-based aerosol is widely used as an effective strategy in electro-optical countermeasure on the battlefield used to the preponderance of high efficiency,low cost and ***,the stability of the water-based aerosol is always unsatisfactory due to the rapid evaporation and sedimentation of the aerosol *** efforts have been devoted to improve the stability of water-based aerosol by using additives with different composition and ***,the lack of the criterion and principle for screening the effective additives results in excessive experimental time consumption and *** the stabilization time of the aerosol is still only 30 min,which could not meet the requirements of the perdurable ***,to improve the stability of water-based aerosol and optimize the complex formulation efficiently,a theoretical calculation method based on thermodynamic entropy theory is *** the factors that influence the shielding effect,including polyol,stabilizer,propellant,water and cosolvent,are considered within *** ultra-stable water-based aerosol with long duration over 120 min is obtained with the optimal fogging agent composition,providing enough time for fighting the electro-optic *** design guideline for choosing the additives with high phase transition temperature and low phase transition enthalpy is also proposed,which greatly improves the total entropy change and reduce the absolute entropy change of the aerosol cooling process,and gives rise to an enhanced stability of the water-based *** theoretical calculation methodology contributes to an abstemious time and space for sieving the water-based aerosol with desirable performance and stability,and provides the powerful guarantee to the homeland security.

The immune response holds a pivotal role in cardiovascular disease *** multifunctional cells of the innate immune system,macrophages play an essential role in initial inflammatory response that occurs following cardiovascular injury,thereby inducing subsequent damage while also facilitating ***,the diverse phenotypes and phenotypic alterations of macrophages strongly associate with distinct types and severity of cardiovascular diseases,including coronary heart disease,valvular disease,myocarditis,cardiomyopathy,heart failure,atherosclerosis and aneurysm,which underscores the importance of investigating macrophage regulatory mechanisms within the context of specific ***,recent strides in single-cell sequencing technologies have revealed macrophage heterogeneity,cell–cell interactions,and downstream mechanisms of therapeutic targets at a higher resolution,which brings new perspectives into macrophage-mediated mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets in cardiovascular ***,myocardial fibrosis,a prevalent characteristic in most cardiac diseases,remains a formidable clinical challenge,necessitating a profound investigation into the impact of macrophages on myocardial fibrosis within the context of cardiac *** this review,we systematically summarize the diverse phenotypic and functional plasticity of macrophages in regulatory mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases and unprecedented insights introduced by singlecell sequencing technologies,with a focus on different causes and characteristics of diseases,especially the relationship between inflammation and fibrosis in cardiac diseases(myocardial infarction,pressure overload,myocarditis,dilated cardiomyopathy,diabetic cardiomyopathy and cardiac aging)and the relationship between inflammation and vascular injury in vascular diseases(atherosclerosis and aneurysm).Finally,we also highlight the preclinical/clinical macrophage targeting strategies and translational

A Stable Open-Shell Conjugated Diradical Polymer with Ultra-High Photothermal Conversion Efficiency for NIR-Ⅱ Photo-Immunotherapy of Metastatic Tumor

Massive efforts have been concentrated on the advance of eminent near-infrared(NIR) photothermal materials(PTMs) in the NIR-Ⅱ window(1000–1700 nm), especially organic PTMs because of their intrinsic biological safety compared with inorganic PTMs. However, so far, only a few NIR-Ⅱresponsive organic PTMs was explored, and their photothermal conversion efficiencies(PCEs) still remain relatively low. Herein, donor–acceptor conjugated diradical polymers with open-shell characteristics are explored for synergistically photothermal immunotherapy of metastatic tumors in the NIR-Ⅱ window. By employing side-chain regulation, the conjugated diradical polymer TTB-2 with obvious NIR-Ⅱ absorption was developed, and its nanoparticles realize a record-breaking PCE of 87.7% upon NIR-Ⅱ light illustration. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that TTB-2 nanoparticles show good tumor photoablation with navigation of photoacoustic imaging in the NIR-Ⅱ window, without any side-effect. Moreover, by combining with PD-1 antibody,the pulmonary metastasis of breast cancer is high-effectively prevented by the efficient photo-immunity effect. Thus, this study explores superior PTMs for cancer metastasis theranostics in the NIR-Ⅱ window, offering a new horizon in developing radical-characteristic NIR-Ⅱ photothermal materials.

Aqueous rechargeable batteries(ARBs)are generally safer than non-aqueous analogues,they are also less-expensive,and more friendly to the ***,the inherent disadvantage of the narrow electrochemical window of H2O seriously restricts the energy density and output voltage of ARBs,especially aqueous rechargeable Fe-based ***,we introduce a new battery system:the anode contains C@Fe/Fe_(2)O_(3)composite,which is interfaced with an alkaline electrolyte;the cathode contains LiMn_(2)O_()in contact with a neutral electrolyte.A Li^(+)-conducting membrane is carefully selected to decouple the electrode-electrolyte,which effectively widens the electrochemical window to above 2.65 V,thereby enables an aqueous rechargeable iron *** average output voltage is 1.83 V and its energy density is 235.3 Wh/kg at 549 W/*** this work,we propose the energy storage mechanism with the aid of density functional theory(DFT).The calculated reduction potential of the anode agrees with the experimental ***,this battery system demonstrates long cycle lifespan of approximately 2500 cycles at 2 A/g,corresponding to a capacity retention of 82.1%.These results are very far superior than those of mainstream aqueous rechargeable Fe-based batteries,which guarantee future investigation for storing electricity energy.

Enhancing the electrochemical performance of Na metal anodes via local eutectic melting in porous Al-Cu alloy hosts

Sodium(Na)metal batteries(SMBs)have emerged as promising alternatives to lithium metal batteries for large-scale energy storage applications,owing to their cost-effectiveness,abundance,and favorable redox ***,the practical implementation of SMBs faces several challenges associated with the Na metal anode,including the formation of dendrites,low Coulombic efficiency,and capacity ***,we propose a novel approach to enhance the electrochemical performance of Na metal anodes through a porous Al-Cu alloy host(PAC)fabricated by a local eutectic melting *** local eutectic melting facilitates the development of a conductive network,offering mechanical support,and the porous structure provides abundant channels for the diffusion of Na ions and accommodates volume fluctuations in the Na metal during charge–discharge ***,the PAC exhibits a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.8%at 1 mA·cm^(−2)for 1 mAh·cm^(−2)and a low voltage polarization of 19 mV during 500 *** study provides valuable insight into the design and fabrication of highperformance Na metal anodes,which hold significant promise for the advancements of next-generation energy storage systems.

Analysis of Epidemiological Characteristics of Varicella Before and After the Implementation of the Two-dose Varicella Vaccine Immunization Program in Banan District of Chongqing City

Objective:To explore the changes in the epidemiological characteristics of varicella before and after implementing the two-dose varicella vaccine(VarV)immunization program in the Banan District of Chongqing and to provide a reference for future epidemic prevention and ***:The data of reported varicella cases in Banan District from 2014 to 2023 were collected and analyzed using the China Disease Prevention and Control Information *** epidemiological methods were employed to assess the changes in the reported incidence of varicella before(2014-2018)and after(2019-2023)the implementation of the two-dose VarV immunization ***:The average annual reported incidence rate of varicella in Banan District from 2014 to 2023 was 81.53 per 100,*** 2014 to 2018,the reported incidence rate showed an upward trend year by year(trend x2=223.96,P<0.05).However,the reported incidence rate decreased from 2019 to 2023(trend x?=189.51,P<0.05).Before and after the adjustment of the immunization program,the reported incidence rate for the 5-9 years old group was 774.62 per 100,000 and 476.98 per 100,000,respectively,with a statistically significant difference(x2=161.26,P<0.05).The onset of varicella showed a bimodal distribution,with peak incidence periods in May-June and *** 2014 to 2023,a total of 155,181 doses of VarV were administered in Banan *** estimated annual vaccination rate for the first varicella vaccine(VarV1)from 2019 to 2023 was 86.28%,and for the second dose(VarV2)was 59.18%.The primary vaccination targets were the 5-9-year-old group,accounting for 64.21%.Conclusion:After implementing the two-dose VarV immunization program in Banan District,the vaccination rate increased yearly,and the reported incidence of varicella showed a downward *** incidence rate of varicella in children aged 5-9 years reduced significantly,but the overall downward trend for the entire population was not as ***

The Van Hoof effect is a phase shift existing between the radial velocity curves of hydrogen and metallic lines within the atmosphere of pulsating *** this article,we present a study of this phenomenon through the spectra of the brightest pulsating star RR Lyr of RR Lyrae stars recorded for 22 *** based ourselves,on the one hand,on 1268 spectra(41 nights of observation)recorded between the years 1994 and 1997 at the Observatory of Haute Provence(OHP,France)previously observed by Chadid and Gillet,and on the other hand on 1569 spectra(46nights of observation)recorded at our Oukaimeden Observatory(Morocco)between 2015 and *** this study,we have detected information on atmospheric dynamics that had not previously been ***,the Van Hoof effect which results in a clear correlation between the radial velocities of hydrogen and those of the metallic lines has been observed and analyzed at different Blazhko phases.A correlation between the radial velocities of different metallic lines located in the lower atmosphere has been observed as *** the first time,we were able to show that the amplitude of the radial velocity curves deduced from the lines of hydrogen and that of FeⅡ(λ4923.921?)increases toward the minimum of the Blazhko cycle and decreases toward the maximum of the same Blazhko ***,we found that the Van Hoof effect is also modulated by the Blazhko ***,toward the minimum of the Blazhko cycle the Van Hoof effect is more visible and at the maximum of the Blazhko cycle,this effect is *** also observed the temporal evolution of the amplitudes of the radial velocities of the lower and upper *** observed over a long time,we can interpret it as a function of the Blazhko phases.

Highly dispersed Pd/N-doped carbon dots(Pd/NCDs)were successfully immobilized in the mesoporous channels of amino-functionalized dendritic mesoporous silica nanospheres(NMS).The synthesized Pd/NCDs@NMS catalyst exhibits outstanding performance in the catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol(4-NP),achieving a turnover frequency of 1461.8 mol·molPd^(-1)·h^(-1),with the conversion rate remaining above 80%after 11 *** and density functional theory calculations reveal that the NCDs significantly affect the electronic structure of Pd nanoparticles,leading to changes in the energy barriers for the adsorption of 4-NP at the Pd sites and the conversion of 4-NP reaction intermediates,which is a key factor contributing to the catalytic *** study offers a new strategy for synthesizing carbon-dot-modified metal-based catalysts.

Rational Design of Cost-Effective Metal-Doped ZrO_(2)for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

The design of cost-effective electrocatalysts is an open challenging for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)due to the“stable-oractive”*** dioxide(ZrO_(2)),a versatile and low-cost material that can be stable under OER operating conditions,exhibits inherently poor OER activity from experimental ***,we doped a series of metal elements to regulate the ZrO_(2)catalytic activity in OER via spin-polarized density functional theory calculations with van der Waals *** modeling as a function of the OER activity descriptor(G_(O*)-G_(HO*))displays that 16 metal dopants enable to enhance OER activities over a thermodynamically stable ZrO_(2)surface,among which Fe and Rh(in the form of single-atom dopant)reach the volcano peak(*** optimal activity of OER under the potential of interest),indicating excellent OER *** energy diagram calculations,density of states,and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations further showed that Fe and Rh are the effective dopants for ZrO_(2),leading to low OER overpotential,high conductivity,and good *** cost-effectiveness,single-atom Fe doped ZrO_(2)emerged as the most promising catalyst for *** finding offers a valuable perspective and reference for experimental researchers to design cost-effective catalysts for the industrial-scale OER production.
