The effects of Y_(2)O_(3) on the microstructure, microhardness, wear resistance, high-temperature oxidation resistance, hot corrosion resistance, and electrochemical corrosion behaviour of CoCrFeNiTiNb high entropy alloy coatings formed on Ti-6Al-4V alloy surfaces were studied. The results show that the addition of Y_(2)O_(3) changes the proportion of the phase but does not change its type. The average grain size is only 1.4.7 of that of the high entropy alloy(HEA) coating, and the fine-grained strengthening leads to increases in the microhardness and wear resistance of 21.8% and 26.9%, respectively. The addition of Y_(2)O_(3) enhances the denseness and bonding properties of the oxide and corrosion product layers, reducing the oxidation and hot corrosion rates by 60.3% and 40.3%, respectively. The addition of Y_(2)O_(3) doubles the corrosion resistance which is attributed to the refinement of the grains, the increased proportion of HCP and TiN, and the weakening of galvanic coupling corrosion.

A total of 1. specimens of Alcyonacea corals were collected at depths ranging from 905 m to 1.33 m by the manned submersible Shenhai Yongshi during two cruises in the South China Sea(SCS).Based on mitochondrial genomic characteristics,morphological examination,and sclerite scanning electron microscopy,the samples were categorized into four suborders(Calcaxonia,Holaxonia,Scleraxonia,and Stolonifera),and identified as 9 possible new cold-water coral *** of GC-skew dissimilarity,phylogenetic distance,and average nucleotide identity(ANI)revealed a slow evolutionary rate for the octocoral mitochondrial *** nonsynonymous(Ka)to synonymous(Ks)substitution ratio(Ka/Ks)suggested that the 1. protein-coding genes(PCGs)were under purifying selection,likely due to specific deep-sea environmental *** analysis of the median Ka/Ks values of five gene families and environmental factors indicated that the genes encoding cytochrome b(cyt b)and DNA mismatch repair protein(mutS)may be influenced by environmental factors in the context of deep-sea species *** study highlights the slow evolutionary pace and adaptive mechanisms of deep-sea corals.

Full conversion of glucose and xylose from lignocellulosic hydrolysates is required for obtaining a high ethanol ***,glucose and xylose share flux in the pentose phosphate pathway(PPP)and glycolysis pathway(EMP),with glucose having a competitive advantage in the shared metabolic *** this work,we knocked down ZWF1.to preclude glucose from entering the *** reduced the[NADPH]level and disturbed growth on both glucose or xylose,confirming that the oxidative PPP,which begins with Zwf1. and ultimately leads to CO_(2) production,is the primary source of NADPH in both glucose and *** glucose depletion,gluconeogenesis is necessary to generate glucose-6-phosphate,the substrate of *** re-established the NADPH regeneration pathway by replacing the endogenous NAD^(+)-dependent glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH)gene TDH3 with heterogenous NADP^(+)-GAPDH genes GDH,gapB,and *** the resulting strains,the strain BZP1.zwf1.,tdh3::GDP1.exhibited a similar xylose consumption rate before glucose depletion,but a 1.6-fold increased xylose consumption rate following glucose depletion compared to the original strain BSGX001.and the ethanol yield for total consumed sugars of BZP1.was 1..5%higher than *** suggested that using the EMP instead of PPP to generate NADPH reduces the wasteful metabolic cycle and excess CO_(2)^(++) release from oxidative ***,we used a copper-repressing promoter to modulate the expression of ZWF1.and optimize the timing of turning off the ZWF1.therefore,to determine the competitive equilibrium between glucose-xylose *** strategy allowed fast growth in the early stage of fermentation and low waste in the following stages of fermentation.

The basic structure and intraseasonal evolution of currents in the southeastern Andaman Sea was analyzed based on data collected in 201. from two subsurface moorings(C1.and C5).Periodic variation in the upper ocean currents of the Andaman Sea was investigated by combining observational and satellite *** observations show that rapid changes of current speed and direction occurred in May and June,with a significant increase in current velocity at the C1.*** the second half of the year,southward flow dominated at the C1.mooring,and alternating northward and southward flows were evident at the C5 mooring during the same period but the northward flow prevailed in boreal *** addition,analysis of the power spectra of the upper currents revealed that the tidal period at both moorings is primarily semidiurnal with weaker energy than that of the low-frequency *** upper ocean currents at the C1.and C5 moorings exhibited intraseasonal variation of 30-60 d and 1.0 d,while the zonal current at the C1.mooring exhibited a notable period of approximately 1.0 *** analysis indicated that the variability of currents in the Andaman Sea is influenced primarily by equatorial Kelvin waves and Rossby wave ***,our results suggest that equatorial Kelvin waves from the eastern Indian Ocean entered the Andaman Sea in the form of Wyrtki Jets and propagated primarily along two distinct pathways during the observation *** addition to coastal boundary Kelvin waves,it was found that a branch of the Wyrtki Jet that directly enters the Andaman Sea and flows northward along the slope of the continental shelf,and reflected Rossby wave packets by topography.

In the suburbs of Kitakyushu,Japan,the inorganic aerosol mass concentration(IAM)was about 32.7μg/m^(3),with the aerosol pH of *** study the thermodynamics of aerosol when its individual components'concentration is reduced,sensitive tests were performed using the ISORROPIAⅡmodel,in which the seven control species—TNaCl,TNH_(4)^(+),TSO_(4)^(2-),TNO_(3)^(-),TMg^(2+),TK^(+),and TCa^(2+)—were taken into *** and inorganic aerosol pH after reducing TNaCl,TNO_(3)^(-),TMg^(2+),TK^(+),and TCa^(2+)responded linearly(0%≤concentration reduction ratio(CRR)≤1.0%,with the exception of 1.0%in TNaCl);the nonlinear variations of these two parameters could be observed by controlling TNH_(4)^(+)and TSO_(4)^(2-).Unexpected aerosol behavior occurred at 1.0%reduction of TNaCl,which was caused by the sudden increase of NO_(3)^(-),NH_(4)^(+),and aerosol liquid water content(ALWC);the increase of IAM was also observed after controlling TSO_(4)^(2-)(60%≤CRR≤1.0%)and TCa^(2+)(0%≤CRR≤1.0%),which was mainly related to the variation of ALWC driven by the response of CaSO_(4).Multiple regression analysis showed that ALWC was statistically and strongly related to the variations of NO_(3)^(-),Cl-,SO_(4)^(2-),HSO_(4)^(-),HNO_(3),and NH_(3)(P1.68,5.23,1.83,2.81.0.34,and 0.57,*** highest coefficient(5.23)was found for Cl^(-),revealing that sea salts significantly influenced particle ***,this study comprehensively investigated aerosol characteristics and inner responses for the reduction of components,which is of great significance for a better understanding of atmospheric chemistry in Kitakyushu,Japan.

Manganese-based oxide electrode materials suffer from severe Jahn-Teller(J-T)distortion,leading to severe cycle instability in sodium ion ***,it is difficult to adjust the electron at d orbitals exactly to a low spin state to eliminate orbital degeneracy and suppress J-T distortion *** article constructed concentration-controllable Mn/O coupled vacancy and amorphous network in Mn_(3)O_(4) and coated it with nitrogen-doped carbon aerogel(Mn_(3-x)O_(4-y)@NCA).The existence of Mn/O vacancies has been confirmed by scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy(PALS).Atomic absorption spectroscopy(AAS)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)determine the most optimal ratio of Mn/O vacancies for sodium ion storage is 1.*** functional theory(DFT)calculations prove that Mn/O coupled vacancies with the ratio of 1.2could exactly induce a low spin states and a d~4 electron configuration of Mn,suppressing the J-T distortion *** abundant amorphous regions can shorten the transport distance of sodium ions,increase the electrochemically active sites and improve the pseudocapacitance *** the synergetic effect of Mn/O coupled vacancies and amorphous regions,Mn_(3-x)O_(4-y)@NCA exhibits an energy density of 37.5 W h kg^(-1.and an ultra-high power density of 563 W kg^(-1.in an asymmetric *** sodium-ion batteries,it demonstrates high reversible capacity and exceptional cycling *** research presents a new method to improve the Na^(+)storage performance in manganese-based oxide,which is expected to be generalized to other structural distortion.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries are regarded as the promising candidates for large-scale energy storage systems owing to low cost and high safety;however, their applications are restricted by their poor low-temperature performance. Herein, a low-temperature electrolyte for low-temperature aqueous zinc-ion batteries is designed by introducing low-polarity diglyme into an aqueous solution of Zn（ClO4）2. The diglyme disrupts the hydrogenbonding network of water and lowers the freezing point of the electrolyte to-1.5℃. The designed electrolyte achieves ionic conductivity up to1..1. mS cm-1.t-45℃. The diglyme and ClO4-reconfigure the solvated structure of Zn2+, which is more favorable for the desolvation of Zn2+at low temperatures. In addition, the diglyme effectively suppresses the dendrites,hydrogen evolution reaction, and by-products of the zinc anode, improving the cycle stability of the battery. At-20℃, a Zn‖Zn symmetrical cell is cycled for 5200 h at 1.mA cm-2and 1.mA h cm-2, and a Zn‖polyaniline battery achieves an ultra-long cycle life of 1. 000 times. This study sheds light on the future design of electrolytes with high ionic conductivity and easy desolvation at low temperatures for rechargeable batteries.

Improving the underwater navigation performance of an IMU with acoustic long baseline calibration

Underwater acoustic Long-Baseline System(LBL)is an important technique for submarine positioning and ***,the high cost of the seafloor equipment and complex construction of a seafloor network restrict the distribution of the LBL within a small area,making an underwater vehicle difficult for long-distance and high-precision acoustic-based or inertial-based *** therefore propose an acoustic LBL-based Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU)calibration *** the underwater vehicle can receive the acoustic signal from a seafloor beacon,the IMU is precisely calibrated to reduce the cumulative error of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System(SINS).In this way,the IMU is expected to maintain a certain degree of accuracy by relying solely on SINS when the vehicle reaches out the range of the LBL network and cannot receive the acoustic *** present the acoustic LBL-based IMU online calibration model and analyze the factors that affect the accuracy of IMU *** results fulfill the expectation that the gyroscope bias and accelerometer bias are the main error sources that affect the divergence of SINS position errors,and the track line of the underwater vehicle directly affects the accuracy of the calibration *** addition,we deduce that an optimal calibration trajectory needs to consider the effects of the three-dimensional observability and position dilution of *** the experiment,we compare the effects of seven calibration trajectories:straight and diamond-shaped with and without the change of depth,and three sets of curves with the change of depth:circular,S-shaped,and *** them,we find that the figure-eight is the optimal trajectory for acoustic LBL-based IMU online *** take the maintenance period during which the accumulated SINS Three Dimensional(3D)position errors are below 1.km to evaluate the calibration *** filed experimental results show that for the Micro-electromechanical System

The Triassic granitoids in Central Tianshan play a key role in determining the petrogenesis and tectonic evolution on the southern margin of the Central Asian orogenic *** this study,we present SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages,Hf isotopic and geochemical data on the Xingxingxia biotite granite,amazonite granite and granitic pegmatite in Central Tianshan,NW *** U-Pb dating yielded formation ages of 242 Ma for the biotite granite and 240 Ma for the amazonite *** granitoid rocks have high K_(2)O with low MgO and CaO *** are enriched in Nb,Ta,Hf and Y,while being depleted in Ba and Sr,showing flat HREE patterns and negative Eu *** have typical A-type granite geochemical signatures with high Ga/A_(1.(8–1.)and TFeO/(TFeO+MgO)ratios,showing an A_(2) affinity for biotite granite and an A_(1. affinity for amazonite granite and granitic *** ε_(Hf)(t)values of the granitoids are 0.45–2.66,with Hf model ages of 0.99–1.1. *** suggests that these A-type granites originated from partial melting of the lower *** propose that Xingxingxia Triassic A-type granites formed under lithospheric extension from post-orogenic to anorogenic intraplate settings and NE-trending regional strike-slip fault-controlled magma emplacement in the upper crust.
