At 1.:34 Beijing time on February 27,201.,an earthquake of M w 8.8 rocked the central coast of Chile.A teletsunami was triggered by the huge earthquake and then propagated across the entire Pacific in less than 24 *** initial tsunami wave arrived at the southeast coast of China at 1.:20 on February 28 and was recorded in real time by a number of tidal gauges off China's Mainland and Taiwan *** teletsunami waves have never been recorded with such a broad geographical scope in China before this *** aim of the present work is to report the first description of sea-level oscillations generated by the Chile tsunami,and evaluate the potential hazards that teletsunami poses to the coast of *** results reveal that the east coast of Taiwan Province,Zhejiang Province and the north coast of Fujian Province are vulnerable to transoceanic *** addition,spectral and wavelet analysis of the recorded sea-level oscillations shows that "seiches" are easily excited by the resonance resulting from the interaction between the initial tsunami waves and local geometry (such as semi-enclosed bays and ports).The superimposition of the two oscillations would amplify the wave height further.

Random forest model is the mainstream research method used to accurately describe the distribution law and impact mechanism of regional *** took Shijiazhuang as the research area,with comprehensive zoning based on endowments as the modeling unit,conducted stratified sampling on a hectare grid cell,and systematically carried out incremental selection experiments of population density impact factors,optimizing the population density random forest model throughout the process(zonal modeling,stratified sampling,factor selection,weighted output).The results are as follows:(1.Zonal modeling addresses the issue of confusion in population distribution laws caused by a single *** on a grid cell not only ensures the quality of training data by avoiding the modifiable areal unit problem(MAUP)but also attempts to mitigate the adverse effects of the ecological *** sampling ensures the stability of population density label values(target variable)in the training sample.(2)Zonal selection experiments on population density impact factors help identify suitable combinations of factors,leading to a significant improvement in the goodness of fit(R^(2))of the zonal models.(3)Weighted combination output of the population density prediction dataset substantially enhances the model's robustness.(4)The population density dataset exhibits multi-scale superposition *** a large scale,the population density in plains is higher than that in mountainous areas,while on a small scale,urban areas have higher density compared to rural *** optimization scheme for the population density random forest model that we propose offers a unified technical framework for uncovering local population distribution law and the impact mechanisms.

Exposure to persistent organic pollutants(POPs)has been reported as a potential risk factor for diabetes in ***,effect modifications by sex and age,especially among Asian populations,have seldom been *** the present study,we assessed associations of major POPs exposure including organochlorine pesticides(OCPs),polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs),with diabetes in Korean adults(n=1.295),a subset of the Korean national {1. Health Survey(KoNEHS)Cycle 3(201.−201.).In the adult population,serum levels of dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes(DDTs)and PCB1.7 showed an increased odds ratio(OR)for *** stratified by gender,associations became stronger and more consistent in women:In women,serum levels of OCPs including p,p′-DDT,p,p′-dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene(p,p′-DDE),andΣOCPs and mono-ortho PCBs,such as PCB1.8 and PCB1.7,were significantly associated with *** the male participants,however,no significant positive associations were *** stratified by a cutoff age of 50 years,most studied POPs except PBDEs,i.e.,p,p′-DDT,p,p′-DDE,PCB1.8,PCB1.7,PCB1.7,PCB1.8,and PCB1.3,showed significant associations with diabetes,in the older *** the younger group,however,no measured POPs showed a significant positive *** of endogenous sex hormones or interaction of POPs on aryl hydrocarbon receptors may partly explain the observed differences by gender and age,although further experimental confirmations should *** findings show that POPs exposure at the current levels is associated with diabetes among general Korean adults,and such associations could be modified by gender and age.

Probiotics show anti-influenza activity， offering a potential variant-resistant alternative for infection prevention and control. In this study， we evaluated whether a specially formulated yogurt enriched with synbiotics (named yogurt 1.in this study) with seven probiotics and six prebiotics， has anti-influenza effects and its underlying mechanisms using a mouse model challenged with influenza virus H1.1.PR8 strain. The mice were treated with phosphate-buffered saline (negative control)， yogurt matrix， yogurt 1. and oseltamivir (positive control)， respectively. yogurt 1.treatment improved the survival of infected mice (from 0% to 30%)， alleviated pathological injuries in the lungs and colon， and reduced the viral load of influenza virus on days 3 and 7 post-infection. yogurt 1.also downregulated some inflammation-related signaling pathways and reduced the levels of proinflammatory cytokines or chemokines in the lungs or serum， including interleukin (IL)-1.， IL-6， tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and keratinocyte chemoattractant (KC). The levels of short-chain fatty acids in the cecal content were increased， the diversity of the intestinal flora was partially restored， and influenza-specific IgG and interferon-secreting lymphocytes were enhanced following yogurt 1.administration. Thus， yogurt 1. as a commercial and easily accessible dairy product， demonstrated a notable anti-influenza effect in mice by inhibiting viral proliferation， suppressing excessive inflammatory responses， and promoting influenza virus-specific adaptive humoral and cellular immune responses， demonstrating its potential for influenza epidemic prevention and control.

Based on observational data and facsimile charts from Dec. 1.94 to Nov. 1.95 of Chinese Antarctic Great Wall Station, the local fine weather was studied. Pressure, temperature and humidity field, and aerological stratification were analyzed synoptically. Two kinds of fine weather with different physical characteristics were found; one was caused by the spreading of subtropical high with high tem- perature and high humidity, and another was connected with polar high with low temperature and low humidity. The research provide a synoptic background for the local fine weather forecast.
