Clinial Implication of tThe Expression of Aurora B in Normal Endometrium and Endometrial Carcinoma

The expression of Aurora B in normal endometria and endometrial carcinomas and its relation with clinicopathologic parameters of endometrial carcinomas were investigated. Streptavidin-biotin peroxidase （SP） immunohistochemical technique was used to detect the expression of Aurora B in 1. cases of normal proliferative phase endometria, 1. cases of normal secretory phase endometria and 72 cases of endometrial carcinomas respectively. According to the 1.88 International Federation of gynecology and {1. （FIGO） grade, there were 37 patients in grade 1. 23 in grade 2 and 1. in grade 3 respectively. According to the FIGO stage, there were 59 patients in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ and 1. patients in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ. Aurora B was expressed in both normal proliferative phase endometria, secretory phase endometria and endometrial carcinomas, but its positive labeling index （PLI） in proliferative phase endometria was significantly higher than that in secretory phase endometria （P〈0.01. and endometrial carcinomas （P〈0.01.. The PLI of Aurora B was lower in tumors with well differentiation （G1., low surgical staging （Ⅰ-Ⅱ）, and ≤1.2 myometrial invasion than that in tumors with moderate and low differentiation （G2--G3）, higher surgical staging （Ⅲ-Ⅳ）, and 〉1.2 myometrial invasion （all P〈0.01.. Aurora B exerts its functions in the replication of normal endometrial glandular cells; Expression of Aurora B is significantly correlated with biologic behavior of endometrial carcinoma, indicating that Aurora B may be a promising prognostic factor in endometrial carcinoma.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the safety profiles of Motherwort injection(MI).METHODS:A multi-center,prospective and drugderived hospital intensive monitoring method was conducted to assess the safety of MI in real world *** study was based on a very large population after the injection was approved and marketed in *** patients using the injection in participating hospitals were monitored to determine the incidence,pattern,severity and outcome of associated adverse ***:The post-marketing surveillance was performed in 1. 094 female patients from April to December,*** incidence of adverse drug reactions(ADRs) was 0.79‰(8/1. 094).Among the 8 patients,the reported adverse events mainly included systemic abnormalities,such as fever,chills and eyelid edema;skin and appendages disorders,such as pruritus and rash;gastrointestinal disorders,such as nausea,abdominal distension and pain;heart rate and rhythm disorders,such as palpitation and increased heart *** of these ADRs were mild in ***:In this study the ADRs incidence rate of MI is very low,which supports that it is generally safe for use in obstetric and gynecological ***,the total number of 8 ADRs recorded over a relatively short time span seems limited,and the low number of reports could not represent an absolute guarantee of safety.

Efficacy of Chinese Herbal Medicines on Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients with Endometriosis in Long-Term Management:A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study

Objective:To analyze the factors related to pregnancy of endometriosis and whether Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs)can improve pregnancy outcomes in patients with endometriosis in long-term ***:This multicenter cohort study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of endometriosis patients with fertility needs from January 201. to November 201..A total of 252 patients with endometriosis from 5 level-ⅢGrade A hospitals in Beijing were included in this *** and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed for the relevant *** propensity score matching(PSM)function of SPSS software was used to match the CHMs group with the non-CHMs *** pregnancy rate and live birth rate were ***:The results of univariate analysis showed that age,disease course,presence of infertility,presence of adenomyosis,time after surgery or use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(Gn RH-a),use of CHMs and follow-up time were influencing factors of pregnancy in endometriosis patients(P6 months were independent risk factors(OR=0.445,0.348,0.1.0,respectively,P<0.05),time after surgery or use of Gn RH-a 6 months and use of CHMs were independent protective factors(OR=3.839,3.842,respectively,P<0.05).After PSM,99 pairs of two groups were matched *** pregnancy rate of the CHMs group was higher than that of the non-CHMs group[55.56%(55/99)vs.36.36%(36/99),P<0.05].The live birth rate of the CHMs group was higher than that of the non-CHMs group[49.49%(49/99)vs.35.35%(35/99),P<0.05].Conclusion:CHMs can effectively improve clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate of patients with endometriosis in the chronic disease management.

CERVICAL CYTOLOGICAL SCREENING AND MANAGEMENT IN PREGNANT AND POSTPARTUM WOMEN

Objeotive To examine and follow up cervical cytology of pregnant and postpartum women and study their cytopathologie characteristics, so as to determine screening and managing programs for abnormal cervical cytology. Mothods Totally 5296 patients in pregnancy and postpartum, in which 3729 by computer-assisted cytology test and 1.67 by liquid-based monolayers cytology test, were examined and diagnosed by the Bethesda System made in 2001. Those proven epithelial abnormalities patients were followed up until the lesions regressed to normal. The remaining patients, who exhibited persistent abnormalities or progression, were given further examinations. Results The positive rate of cervical cytological test was 8.72% （462/5296）, including squamous carcinoma （SCA） 1.case （ 0.02% ）, high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion （HSIL） 34 cases （ 0.64% ）, low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion （LSIL） 1.5 cases （ 2.74% ）, atypical glandular cells （AGC） 5 cases （ 0.09% ）, atypical squamous cells cannot exclude HSIL （ASC-H） 1. cases （0.26%）, atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance （ASC-US） 263 cases （4.97%）. The 41. proven cytological abnormality cases were followed up successfully. The total transnegative rate in three months was 73.74% （309/41.）, in which 303 cases （72.32%） persisted normal status for more than six months after regression. And the transnegative rate of ASC-US, ASC-H, AGC, LSIL, and HSIL were 79.56%, 64.29%, 1.0%, 72.1.% and 44.1.%, respectively. Forty-six cases received biopsy directed by colposcopy. The distribution of coincidence of cytopathologic and histopathologic diagnosis was： SCA 1.case （1.0%）, HSIL 1. cases （76.92%）, LSIL 1. cases （65%）, ASC-H 2 cases （50%）, ASC-US 3 cases （37.50%）, total 29 cases （63.04%）. Conclusions We should cast more attention to screening cervix lesions in pregnant and postpartum women. Gasless laparoscopy for benign gynecological diseases using an abdominal wall-lifting system

Objectives: The use of gasless laparoscopy with an abdominal wall-lifting device for benign gynecological diseases was compared to conventional laparoscopy with CO2 pneumoperitoneum. Methods: From February 2007 to July 2007,76 women with uterine and/or adnexal benign diseases and candidates for laparoscopic surgery were recruited in this study. Thirty-two women underwent gasless laparoscopic surgery and 44 women underwent pneumoperitoneum laparoscopic surgery. Results: Diverse pathologies,including adnexal cyst,uterine myoma and ectopic pregnancy,were treated successfully with gasless laparoscopic surgery. Compared with the patients in the pneumoperitoneum group,the similar hospital stay (P=0.353) and intraoperative blood loss (P=0.1.7) were observed. However,the mean operative time in the gasless group was significantly longer than that in the pneumoperitoneum group (P=0.003). No severe intraoperative or postoperative complications were found in either group,except for one case of laparotomic conversion in the pneumoperitoneum group due to dense pelvic adhesions. The total hospital charges were significantly less in the gasless group than in the pneumoperitoneum group (P=0.001.. In 38 cases of ovarian cyst resection,the mean operative time in the gasless group remained longer than that in the pneumoperitoneum group (P=0.01.). The total hospital charges were also significantly less in the gasless group than in the pneumoperitoneum group (P1.. Conclusion: Our preliminary results demonstrated that the laparoscopic procedure using the gasless technique was a safe,effective method to treat benign gynecological diseases. Moreover,it was easy to master. As a minimally invasive treatment,gasless laparoscopic surgery provides a good choice to patients in the undeveloped regions in China without increasing the patients’ and the government’s burden significantly.
