Aqueous Zn-iodine(Zn-I_(2))batteries have attracted extensive research interest as an emerging redox conversion energy storage system due to the low cost and high ***,the shuttling effects of polyiodides arising from incomplete redox conversion and inhomogeneous Zn plating on the Zn anode surface always hinder the commercial application of Zn-I_(2)*** this work,a two-birds-with-one-stone strategy is reported for long-life Zn-I_(2)*** on the strategy,the sulfonate-functionalized carbon fiber not only acts as the excellent iodine limiter to inhibit iodine species shuttling,but also as the uniform Zn plating guidance layer on the Zn anode surface to prevent the inhomogeneous deposition of Zn^(2+).Consequently,a superior cycling stability(a capacity of 1.4 mAh g^(-1.after 1.,000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1.)is *** calculations illustrate that sulfonate groups successfully induce charge redistribution on the carbon substrate,thereby strengthening the electronic interactions of the iodine species with the carbon *** charge-enriched sulfonate groups can guide the uniform deposition of Zn^(2+)through a strong Coulombic effect with Zn^(2+).This work gives a new perspective on the integrated design of cathodes and anodes for rechargeable batteries.

Anisotropic swelling pressures of compacted GMZ bentonite infiltrated with salt solutions

The stress field, controlling the developmental process of a shallow focus inland earthquake, is regarded as the superposition of the fundamental and the variational stress field, but the latter often plays an important role. In this paper we focus on two kinds of problems generating the variational stress field, which is related to geotherm. One is the local high temperature region problem, which includes the situations of the heat carrying fluid intruding into the vertical or horizontal cracks and the case of existence of the static state local high temperature region. The other is the problem that the thermal energy is released as the fault emerges displacement discontinuities,during the steady state extension. The two problems can be idealized into the three dimension thermoelastic quasi static problems and their solutions can be given, respectively. Thereby,we may obtain the approximate expressions of some additional seismic precursor fields generated on the plane near the ground surface,for examples, the temperature, the body strain and the underground water, the vertical deformation and the ground tilt vector fields etc. We discuss their space time distribution feature on the plane and get some qualitative results by contrasting them with each other. lt may provide some clues for further studying the comprehensive applications of the preseismic observations.

Spatially explicit reconstruction of cropland cover in Europe from AD 1.00 to 2000

One of the challenges in global change research is the significant uncertainty in global historical land use and land cover(LUCC)datasets,which are widely used as foundational *** addition to the regional cropland area reconstructions,improving the grid allocation method is another feasible way to raise the reliability of historical LUCC *** this study,an integrated reconstruction of the national cropland areas over the past 200 years was developed for 36 European *** that,the allocation algorithm was built using physiogeographic variables and historical city sites for accounting for land suitability and cultivation preferences,***,cropland data in Europe with a spatial resolution of 5′×5′at five time sections from AD 1.00 to 2000 were generated using the optimal allocation algorithm in accordance with the stages of the regional *** results were as follows:(1.The dominant factors governing the distribution of croplands in Europe vary at different agricultural stages,but the results can be merged *** suitability was more optimal for allocation during the modern agricultural stage(AD 1.50 and 2000);the priority index combined with land suitability and cultivation preference was more reasonable for allocation during the traditional agricultural stage(AD 1.00).The average of the allocations by priority index and the land suitability could be adopted as the allocation results during the transitional stage(AD 1.50 and 1.00)because the grids for absolute differences within±1. and±20 percentage points between the results obtained from the above two allocations were above 80% and 95%,respectively,which means the two allocation results could be merged.(2)Over the past 200 years,the total cropland area in Europe first increased to a peak in AD 1.00 and then ***,the centre of the higher cropland fraction shifted from the western part of Europe in AD 1.00 to the eastern part of the continent after AD 1.50.(3)

Single-atom catalysts were widely used to treat atmospheric pollution and alleviate energy crises through ***,how to prevent the aggregation of single atoms during the preparation and catalytic processes remained a great ***,a novel ultrathin two-dimensional porphyrin-based single-atom photocatalyst Ti-MOF(abbreviated as TMPd)obtained through a simple hydrothermal synthesis strategy was used for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution and NO removal,in which the singleatom Pd tightly anchored in the center of porphyrin to ensure single-atom Pd stable *** with most reported MOFs-based photocatalysts,the TMPd showed an excellent hydrogen evolution rate(1.32 mmol g^(-1.h^(-1.)and the NO removal efficiency(62%)under visible light *** high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscope(HAADF-STEM)and synchrotron-radiation-based X-ray absorption fine-structure spectroscopy(XAFS)proved that pd in TMPd existed in an isolated state,and the atomic force microscope(AFM)proved the ultrathin morphology of *** calculations had demonstrated that single-atom Pd could serve as the active center and more effectively achieve electron transfer,indicating that single-atom Pd played a vital role in photocatalytic hydrogen *** addition,a possible photocatalytic pathway of NO removal was proposed based on ESR and in-situ infrared spectra,in which the catalysts anchored with single-atom Pd could produce more active substances and more effectively oxidize NO to NO_(2)^(-)or NO_(3)^(-).The results suggested that coordinating single-atom metal species as the active site in the center of porphyrin could be a feasible strategy to obtain various ultrathin porphyrin-based single-atom photocatalysts to acquire excellent photocatalytic performance further.

3D suitability evaluation of urban underground space using a variable weight method and considering ground restrictions

The evaluation of urban underground space(UUS)suitability involves multiple *** weight to these indicators is crucial for accurate *** paper presents a method for spatially variable weight assignment of indicators using the order relation analysis method(G1.method),the entropy weight method,an improved grey relational analysis(GRA)and a set of spatial weight adjustment ***,the subjective and objective weights of indicators for engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions were determined by the G1.method and entropy weight method,respectively,and their combined weights were then obtained using the principle of minimum discriminatory *** study highlighted the impact of surface restrictions,such as buildings,on UUS,and the degree of the influence of these buildings gradually decreased with the increase in depth of the rock and soil mass in UUS,which resulted in changes in weights of indicators with *** address this issue,a coefficient was defined as the standardized value of the ratio of additional stress applied by restrictions to the self-weight stress of soil at the same depth to modify the combined weights so that all weights of indicators could vary in ***,an improved GRA was used to determine the suitability level of each evaluation cell using the maximum correlation *** method was applied to the 3D suitability evaluation of UUS in Sanlong Bay,Foshan City,Guangdong Province,China,including 1. evaluation *** study comprehensively considered the influence of multiple factors,thereby providing reference for evaluating the suitability of UUS in big cities.

In the hydrological year 2022/2023,the glaciers in the Qilian Mountains experienced unprecedented mass *** glacier-wide mass balance was-1.1.8 mm w.e.,in contrast to-350 mm of average mass balance since 1.90 over the Bailanghe Glacier No.1. in the middle of Qilian *** temperature during 2022–2023 reached the highest value ever recorded,second only to 2022,while at the same time the precipitation amount was less compared to other year since 2000,which together led to the strongest glacier mass loss during 2022–*** atmospheric circulation analysis shows that the high temperature in the Qilian Mountains in 2023 was jointly caused by the Arctic air mass and East Asian monsoon.
