Anisotropic swelling pressures of compacted GMZ bentonite infiltrated with salt solutions

In the high-level radioactive waste(HLW)deep geological repository,bentonite is compacted uniaxially,and then arranged vertically in engineered *** assembly scheme induces the initial anisotropy,and with hydration,it develops more evidently under chemical *** investigate the anisotropic swelling of compacted Gaomiaozi(GMZ)bentonite and the further response to saline effects,a series of constant-volume swelling pressure tests were *** showed that dry density enhanced the bentonite swelling and raised the final anisotropy,whereas saline inhibited the bentonite swelling but still promoted the final *** final anisotropy coefficient(ratio of radial to axial pressure)obeyed the Boltzmann sigmoid attenuation function,decreasing with concentration and dry density,converging to a minimum value of *** staged evolution of anisotropy coefficient was discovered,that saline inhibited the rise of the anisotropy coefficient(Dd)in the isotropic process greater than the valley(d1.in the anisotropic process,leading to the final anisotropy *** isotropic stage amplified the impact of soil structure rearrangement on the macro-swelling pressure ***,a new method for predicting swelling pressures of compacted bentonite was proposed,by expanding the equations of Gouy-Chapman theory with a dissipative wedge *** evolutionary function was constructed,revealing the correlation between the occurrence time and the pressure value due to the structure rearrangement and the former crystalline ***,a design reference for dry density was given,based on the chemical conditions around the pre-site in Beishan,*** anisotropy promoted by saline would cause a greater drop of radial pressure,making the previous threshold on axial swelling fail.

Fe-based Prussian blue(Fe-PB)cathode material shows great application potential in sodium(Na)-ion batteries due to its high theoretical capacity,long cycle life,low cost,and simple preparation ***,the crystalline water and vacancies of Fe-PB lattice,the low electrical conductivity,and the dissolution of metal ions lead to limited capacity and poor cycling *** this work,a perylene tetracarboxylic dianhydride amine(PTCDA)coating layer is successfully fabricated on the surface of Fe-PB by a liquid-phase *** aminated PTCDA(PTCA)coating not only increases the specific surface area and electronic conductivity but also effectively reduces the crystalline water and vacancies,which avoids the erosion of Fe-PB by ***,the PTCA layer reduces the charge transfer resistance,enhances the Na-ion diffusion coefficient,and improves the structure *** PTCA-coated Fe-PB exhibits superior Na storage performance with a first discharge capacity of 1.5.2 mAh g^(−1. at 1.0 mA g^(−1..Long cycling tests exhibit minimal capacity decay of 0.027%per cycle over 1.00 cycles at 1.A g^(−1..Therefore,this PTCA coating strategy has shown promising competence in enhancing the electrochemical performance of Fe-PB,which can potentially serve as a universal electrode coating strategy for Na-ion batteries.

Hot dry rock(HDR)is rich in reserve,widely distributed,green,low-carbon,and has broad development potential and *** this paper,a distributionally robust optimization(DRO)scheduling model for a regionally integrated energy system(RIES)considering HDR co-generation is ***,the HDR-enhanced geothermal system(HDR-EGS)is introduced into the ***-EGS realizes the thermoelectric decoupling of combined heat and power(CHP)through coordinated operation with the regional power grid and the regional heat grid,which enhances the system wind power(WP)feed-in ***,peak-hour loads are shifted using price demand response guidance in the context of time-of-day ***,the optimization objective is established to minimize the total cost in the RIES scheduling cycle and construct a DRO scheduling model for RIES with *** simulating a real small-scale RIES,the results show that HDR-EGS can effectively promote WP consumption and reduce the operating cost of the system.

Traveling wave piezoelectric beam actuators(TWPBAs)present an advantageous structural configuration for self-moving actuators and hold significant promise for operation in confined ***,current research on TWPBAs faces several limitations,including deficient design methods of excitation and structural parameters,inadequate evaluation metrics,and lack of a quantitative relationship between these parameters and evaluation *** study presents a systematic approach to determining TWPBAs'structure and excitation parameters,proposes criteria for determining the excitation parameters through an established analytical model,and introduces an effective evaluation method for TWPBAs'*** the analytical model and evaluation metrics,we reveal:(1.the coupling relationship between excitation parameters and structural parameters,(2)the influence of participating mode pairs on vibration response,(3)the quantitative relationship between the evaluation metrics and excitation parameters is also *** conclusions are substantiated by the results of finite element analysis,laser vibration measurements,and motion test ***,the practical application of TWPBAs in pipeline operations underscores their potential for use in endoscopy and precision instruments.

A dedicated weak current measurement system was designed to measure the weak currents generated by the neutron ionization *** system incorporates a second-order low-pass filter circuit and the Kalman filtering algorithm to effectively filter out noise and minimize interference in the measurement *** conducted under normal temperature conditions has demonstrated the system's high precision ***,it was observed that temperature variations can affect the measurement *** were collected across temperatures ranging from -20 to 70℃,and a temperature correction model was established through linear regression fitting to address this *** feasibility of the temperature correction model was confirmed at temperatures of -5 and 40℃,where relative errors remained below 0.1. after applying the temperature *** research indicates that the designed measurement system exhibits excellent temperature adaptability and high precision,making it particularly suitable for measuring weak currents.

Influence of Trailing-Edge Wear on the Vibrational Behavior of Wind Turbine Blades

To study the impact of the trailing-edge wear on the vibrational behavior of wind-turbine blades,unworn blades and trailing-edge worn blades have been assessed through relevant modal *** to these experiments,the natural frequencies of trailing-edge worn blades-1.-2,and-3 increase the most in the second to fourth order,theﬁfth order increases in the middle,and theﬁrst order increases the *** damping ratio data indi-cate that,in general,theﬁrstﬁve-order damping ratios of trailing-edge worn blades-1.and trailing-edge worn blades-2 are reduced,and theﬁrstﬁve-order damping ratios of trailing-edge worn blades-3 are slightly *** mode shape diagram shows that the trailing-edge worn blades-1.and-2 have a large swing in the tip and the blade,whereas the second-and third-order vibration shapes of the trailing edge-worn blade-3 tend to be ***,all these results reveal that the blade’s mass and the wear area are the main fac-tors affecting the vibration characteristics of wind turbine blades.

Research and test of the measurement sensing device for the downforce of no-till planter row unit gauge wheels

To effectively obtain the downforce of the gauge wheels in real time,mechanical models of the interaction among the ground,gauge wheels,gauge wheel arms,and depth adjustment lever were constructed.A measuring method was proposed for monitoring the downforce through a two-dimensional radial sensing device,and a corresponding prototype was *** simulation analysis of the sensing device with ANSYS,a 45°angle was determined to exist between the strain gauge axis and the sensing device axis,and the Wheatstone bridging circuit of R1.R3−R5−R7(R stands for resistance strain gauge,different figures represent the strain gauge number)and R2+R4−R6−R8 was *** to performance and calibration tests for the sensing device,the maximum interaction effect between the X and Y axes was 2.52%,and the output signal was stable and *** standard error of the slope of the fitting equation of the downforce calculation model is *** to the field test,the average downforce of the gauge wheels was 1.48,1.1.,843,and 71. N,at different sowing speeds of 6,8,1.,and 1. km/h,*** coefficients of variation were 0.40,0.41.0.62,and 0.71.*** results indicate that the downforce fluctuation of the gauge wheels became more severe with increasing planting *** the strain simulation analysis and field test verified that the measurement method is accurate and reliable,the performance of the sensing device is stable,the measurement method and sensing device meet the application requirements and lay a foundation for the research of accurate and stable control of downforce of no-till planter.

Three-dimensional(3D)phononic topological insulators(TIs)featuring two-dimensional(2D)surface states and one-dimensional(1.)hinge states have opened up a new route for multi-dimensional robust wave transport,providing unprecedented methods for integrated acoustic sensors and energy harvesting ***,aiming at the elastic 3D phononic TI with gapless surface states and hinge states,the realization of elastic 3D phononic TIs with gapless surface states and hinge states is a significant challenge due to the complicated multi-mode polarization of elastic waves in 3D *** this study,we demonstrate an elastic 3D phononic TI with a Dirac hierarchy by elaborately operating the corresponding spatial symmetries of the chiral honeycomb ***,a 3D double Dirac cone of elastic wave can be achieved by doubling the lattice along the outof-plane direction to fold two iso-frequency Weyl *** topological phase transitions and 2D gapless two-fold Dirac surface states of elastic wave are realized by breaking the half-lattice spatial translation ***,based on the Brillouin zone folding along the in-plane direction,the 2D gapless two-fold surface Dirac cones are folded into four-fold surface Dirac ***,by inducing the relative radius of adjacent holes to break the in-plane spatial inversion symmetry,the fourfold surface Dirac cones are gapped and associated with a surface state inversion,in which the gapless 1. hinge Dirac dispersion is *** research offers a route for engineering the hierarchies of TIs in 3D elastic wave systems and provides new possibilities for designing 3D ultrasonic devices with unconventional functions.

2D all-organic perovskites refine flexible electronics

Recent years have witnessed a paradigm shift with the advent of perovskites,a class of materials with a distinct CaTiO_(3)-type crystalline structure that show remarkable promise across a wide array of applications,including photovoltaics,photodetectors,lighting,lasers,and so *** them,the development of two-dimensional(2D)perovskites has garnered significant attention due to their tunable structures(mainly Dion-Jacobson and Ruddlesden-Popper structures)and enhanced stability in comparison with their 3D counterparts[1..Amidst the burgeoning research on perovskites,on the other side,all-organic perovskites stand out as a particularly intriguing subset[2].Unlike traditional perovskites that typically comprise all-inorganic(e.g.,CsPbBr_(3))or organic-inorganic hybrid components(e.g.,(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)),all-organic perovskites are composed entirely of carbon-or nitrogen-based molecules.
