This interview was conducted on August 21.t, 2022 by Charles Buck and Ioannis Solos. Peter Deadman has worked in the field of health promotion for 50 years. He co-founded Infinity Foods(an organic and natural foods workers co-op) in 1.71. followed by the Brighton Natural Health Centre-a charity dedicated to teaching ways to improve personal, community and planetary health and wellbeing. He qualified as an acupuncturist in 1.78 and in Chinese herbal medicine in 1.90. He founded The Journal of Chinese Medicine(UK) in 1.79(Fig. 1., and co-authored A Manual of Acupuncture(published in 1.98). He is the author of Live Well Live Long: Teachings from the Chinese Nourishment of Life Tradition. He has taught Chinese medicine and health promotion internationally for decades and is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Qi Gong(气功).

We propose and investigate a methodology based on convolved electric and magnetic currents for the generation of multi-band responses over a space-shared radiating ***,a single wideband antenna operation principle based on inter-leaved dipole and slot modes is studied and analyzed using full-wave simulations followed by a qualitative time domain ***,a 2×2 dual-band radiating unit is conceived and developed by closely arranging single wideband *** this case,multimode resonances are generated in a lower frequency band by a proper convolving and coupling of the magnetic and electric currents realized in the gaps between the antennas and on the surface of the antennas,*** methodology can be deployed repeatedly to build up a self-scalable topology by reusing the electromagnetically(EM)connected radiating surfaces and gaps be-tween the radiating *** to the efficient reuse of the electromagnetic region for the development of multiband radiation,a high aperture-reuse efficiency is ***,as a proof of concept,a 2×4 dual-band array operating in Ku-and Ka-bands is devel-oped and fabricated by a linear arrangement of the two developed radiating *** measurement results show that the proposed antenna array provides impedance and gain bandwidths of 30%and 25.4%in the Ku-band and 1..65%and 8.52%in the Ka-band,respectively.

Ten rock samples consisting of one pyroclastic density current(PDC1.deposit,seven lava flows(LF1.7),and two summit lava domes(LD1.2)were studied to understand the petrogenesis and magma dynamics at *** stratigraphy is arranged as LF1.PDC1.LF2,LF3,LF4,LF5,LF6,LF7,LD1.and LD2;furthermore,these rocks were divided into two ***Ⅰ,observed in the oldest(LF1.sample,has poor MgO and high Ba/Nb,Th/Yb and *** remaining samples(PDC1.LD2)represent typeⅡ,characterized by high MgO and low Ba/Nb,Th/Yb and Sr *** suggest that type I is derived from AOC(altered oceanic crust)-rich melts that underwent significant crustal assimilation,while typeⅡoriginates from mantle-rich melts with less significant crustal *** early stage of typeⅡmagma(PDC1.LF3)was considered a closed system,evolving basaltic andesite into andesite(55.0–60.2 wt%SiO_(2))with a progressively increasing phenocryst(0.30–0.48φ_(PC))and decreasing crystal size distribution(CSD)slope(from-3.9 to-2.9).The evidence of fluctuating silica and phenocryst contents(between 55.9–59.7 wt%and 0.25–0.41._(PC),respectively),coupled with the kinked and steep(from-5.0 to-3.3)CSD curves imply the interchanging condition between open(i.e.,magma mixing)and closed magmatic systems during the middle stage(LF4–LF6).Finally,it underwent to closed system again during the final stage(LF7–LD2)because the magma reached dacitic composition(at most 68.9 wt%SiO_(2))with abundant phenocryst(0.38–0.45φ_(PC))and gentle CSD slope(from-4.1.to-1.2).

When COVID-1. devastated older-adult organizations(long-term care homes and retirement homes), most public attention was directed toward the older-adult residents rather than their service providers. This was especially true in the case of personal support workers, some of whom are over the age of 55, putting them in two separate categories in the COVID-1. settings:(1. a vulnerable and marginalized group who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-1.;and(2) essential healthcare workers. Since the current disaster-driven research, practice, and policy have primarily focused on generalized assumptions that older-adults are a vulnerable, passive, and dependent group rather than recognizing their diversity, expertise, assets, and experiences, this study aimed to identify their contributions from the perspective of older-adult personal support worker(OAPSW). This qualitative study conducted in-depth interviews, inviting 1. OAPSWs from the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This study uncovered the OAPSWs' contribution at three levels: individual(enhancing physical health, mental health, and overall well-being), work(improving working environment and service and supporting co-workers), and family(protecting their nuclear and extended families). The outcomes inform the older-adult research, practice, policy, public discourse, and education by enhancing the appreciation of older-adults' diverse strengths and promoting their engagement and contributions in disaster settings.

Understanding the solid target dynamics resulting from the interaction with an ultrashort laser pulse is a challenging fundamental multi-physics problem involving atomic and solid-state physics,plasma physics,and laser *** of the initial interplay of the underlying processes is essential to many applications ranging from lowpower laser regimes like laser-induced ablation to high-power laser regimes like laser-driven ion *** the properties of the so-called pre-plasma formed as the laser pulse’s rising edge ionizes the target is complicated from the theoretical and experimental point of view,and many aspects of this laser-induced transition from solid to overdense plasma over picosecond timescales are still open *** the one hand,laser-driven ion acceleration requires precise control of the pre-plasma because the efficiency of the acceleration process crucially depends on the target properties at the arrival of the relativistic intensity peak of the *** the other hand,efficient laser ablation requires,for example,preventing the so-called“plasma shielding”.By capturing the dynamics of the initial stage of the interaction,we report on a detailed visualization of the pre-plasma formation and ***-thin diamond-like carbon foils are shown to transition from solid to plasma during the laser rising edge with intensities1.^(1.)W/cm^(2).Single-shot near-infrared probe transmission measurements evidence sub-picosecond dynamics of an expanding plasma with densities above 1.^(23)cm^(−3)(about 1.0 times the critical plasma density).The complementarity of a solid-state interaction model and kinetic plasma description provides deep insight into the interplay of initial ionization,collisions,and expansion.

Objectives: Hydrogel spacer (HS) was developed to reduce rectal toxicities caused by radiotherapy, but has been reported to cause major adverse events. Our institute has attempted to introduce a hyaluronic acid (HA) as an alternative spacer. This study aimed to compare rectal doses and geometric distributions between the HS and HA implantation in prostate ***: HS and HA were inserted in 20 and 1. patients undergoing high-dose brachytherapy, respectively. The rectum spacer volumes injected were 1. mL and 22 mL, respectively. In the treatment planning system, 1..5 Gy was administered with common catheter positions. The rectal dose indices were assessed between the spacer groups for dosimetry evaluation. Distances between the prostate and rectum and configurations of the spacers were ***: The mean doses irradiated to 0.1.and 2 mL of the rectum were 1..45 Gy and 6.71.Gy for HS, and 6.73 Gy and 4.90 Gy for HA (p1.. The mean minimum distances between the prostate and rectum were 1.23 cm and 1.79 cm for HS and HA, respectively (p<0.05). Geometrical configuration comparisons revealed that HA has a higher ability to expand the space than ***: The rectal dose reduction ability of HA is significantly greater than that of HS, suggesting its potential as a new spacer.
