Objective: To assess if there is a relationship between residential radon exposure and two lung cancer histologicaltypes, small-cell carcinoma (diagnosed in people with a smoking history) and adenocarcinoma (the mostcommonly diagnosed histologic type in people who have never smoked) among males and females in ***: With survey data of long-term radon measurements in residential homes, long-term averaged tobaccoconsumption rates in the units of cigarettes per day per person and long-term averaged age-standardized lungcancer incidence rates at provincial level, simple linear fitting (ANOVA linear regression) was applied in this studyto determine the effect on lung cancer induction by smoking and exposure to indoor radon, and to assess if there isa relationship between residential radon exposure and lung cancer histological ***: Lung cancer incidence rates correlate very well with the tobacco consumption rates (P 483). The in-band full-duplex(IBFD)wireless system is a promising candidate for 6G and beyond,as it can double data throughput and enormously lower transmission latency by supporting simultaneous in-band transmission and reception of *** IBFD systems requires a substantial mitigation of a transmitter(Tx)’s strong self-interference(SI)signal into the receiver(Rx)***,current state-ofthe-art approaches to tackle this challenge are inefficient in terms of performance,cost,and complexity,hindering the commercialization of IBFD *** this work,we devise and demonstrate an innovative approach to realize IBFD systems that exhibit superior performance with a low-cost and lesscomplex architecture in an all-passive *** scheme is based on meticulously combining polarization-division multiplexing(PDM)with ferromagnetic nonreciprocity to achieve ultra-high isolation between Tx and Rx *** an unprecedented conception has become feasible thanks to a concurrent dual-mode circulator—a new component introduced for the first time—as a key feature of our module,and a dual-mode waveguide that transforms two orthogonally polarized waves into two orthogonal waveguide *** addition,we propose a unique passive tunable secondary SI cancellation(SIC)mechanism,which is embedded within the proposed module and boosts the isolation over a relatively broad *** report,solely in the analog domain,experimental isolation levels of 50,70,and 80 dB over 340,1.1.and 33 MHz bandwidth at the center frequency of interest,respectively,with excellent tuning ***,the module is tested in two real IBFD scenarios to assess its performance in connection with Tx-to-Rx leakage and modulation error in the presence of a Tx’s strong interference signal.

Shale gas reservoirs are unconventional tight gas reservoirs,in which horizontal wells and hydraulic fracturing are required to achieve commercial *** fracture networks created by hydraulic fracturing can increase the drainage area extensively to enhance shale gas ***,large volumes of fracturing fluid that is difficult to flow back to the surface and remained in the shale formation,will inevitably lead to damages of the shale formations and limit the effectiveness of *** water(SCW)treatment after hydraulic fracturing is a new method to enhance shale gas recovery by using appropriate heat treatment methods to the specific formation to convert the retained fracturing fluid into a supercritical state(at temperatures in excess of 373.946°C and pressures in excess of 22.064 MPa).An experiment was conducted to simulate the reaction between shale and SCW,and the capacity of SCW treatment to enhance the permeability of the shale was evaluated by measuring the response of the shale porosity and permeability on SCW *** experimental results show that the shale porosity and permeability increase by 21..43%and 21.8.37%,*** pore structure alteration and permeability enhancement of the shale matrix were determined by analyzing the changes in pore structure and mineral composition after SCW *** mechanisms that affect pore structure and mineral composition include oxidative catalysis decomposition of organic matters and reducing minerals,acid-catalyzed decomposition of carbonate minerals and feldspar minerals,hydrothermal catalysis induced fracture extension and cementation weakening induced fracture *** treatment converts harm into a benefit by reducing the intrusion of harmful substances into the shale formation,which will broaden the scope and scale of shale formation stimulation.

We have newly designed an electrostatic sensor,called an electric field mill(EFM),to simplify the estimation of the charge position and charge amount transferred by lightning *** is necessary for this remote estimation of the transferred charge to measure electric field changes caused by charge loss at the time of a lightning strike at multiple *** multiple-station measurement of electric field changes,not only speed but also phase for exposure and shielding of the sensing plates inside each EFM of the array should be synchronized to maintain the sensitivities of the deployed ***,there is no such EFM with specified speed and phase control performance of the rotary ***,we developed a new EFM in which the rotary mechanism was controlled consistently to within 3%error by a GPS *** EFMs had been distributed in the Hokuriku area of Japan during the winter season of 2022-2023 for a test *** we describe the design and a simple calibration method for our new EFM *** analysis method based on the assumption of a simple monopole charge structure is also *** validation,locations of assumed point charges were compared with three-dimensional lightning mapping data estimated by radio observations in the MF-HF *** results indicated the validity to estimate transferred charge amounts and positions of winter cloud-to-ground lightning discharges with our new EFM array.
